Preparing for the Future
Magnus, noticing the tense atmosphere during wizmonget meetings decides to begin a sort of capture the flag scrimmage to see the potential of the children just in case something happens in the future, so currently he is outside on the grounds along with two flags as he finished inscribing runes around the area that will be the location of the scrimmage looking around he places his wand to his neck and uses magic so everyone at the castle can hear him "Attention Students, I am Professor Rosier for those who don't know who i am, i will be starting a capture the flag scrimmage out on the grounds for those who want to be apart of this meet me out on the grounds, that is all!" He shouts then removes the wand from his neck, deciding to check over the runes and wards he nods with a smile seeing that are ready to be used 'now to just wait until the students arrive' he thought checking the time with his wand, opening up a part of the ward and rune network so people can enter inside and not be blockrd from entering by the network of wards and runes he placed.

Preparing for the Future
With a small skip in her step, Rhea skipped into the middle of the courtyard outside of the Hogwarts castle. The professor of the Study of Ancient Runes, Magnus Rosier, had announced that there was to be a school wide game of Capture the Flag. Rhea wasn't quite sure what that was, seeing as she'd never indulged in any Muggle activities as a child, but she was eager to play. Any game held in the school grounds, and she was game to play (haha, what a nice joke...). The young redhead looked around, and it seemed to be that she was the first one to appear in the courtyard. She saw the professor standing smack in the middle, waving his wand around and doing whatever it was professors of Ancient Runes did.
Waiting for someone else to appear, Rhea decided to walk up to the professor and introduce herself. She didn't think they'd met before, and Rhea wanted to make sure that she would introduce herself to as many people as possible. And, she wanted to figure out what this game was, Capture the Flag, before the rest of the students showed up and she would make a fool of herself by not knowing what to play. With a wide smile on her face, the redhead walked up to the professor.
"Hello professor," she said. "I don't believe we've met. My name is Rhea Bishop," then, she decided to cut right to the chase. "How do you play this game, Capture the Flag?"
Rhea hoped that the professor could explain what the game was quickly, because she could see other students approaching. Or maybe, she could find another pureblood as clueless as her and then she wouldn't be alone in her cluelessness.

Magnus looked behind him seeing The Heiress of House Bishop "Greetings Miss Bishop" he greets her with a smile "Capture the Flag is a muggle game yes but i and countless others did this as an activity at Ilvermorny, pretty much i seperate the students into two teams or more , both teams have to defend their flag while also attempt to take the other team's flag, non-lethal spells only so no cutting, exploding or blasting curses" he informed the young pureblood, knowing how different Wizards are in Britain than America "teams will be chosen once everyone gets here, mainly this game helps students learn teamwork, planning and cooperation with their peers be they muggleborns, half bloods or purebloods" he added on "How is your family by the way?" he asked curious if they have a seat on the Wizmonget or not, sometimes it's hard to know who of the pureblood houses of Britain have seats on the Wizmonget these days since the last British Wizarding War involving Harry Potter now it seems people have a vendetta against Potter for surviving since he is in Azkaban now 'Hopefully they don't involve the students again in the future' he thought waiting for Rhea to respond.

Preparing for the Future
Mariah made her way over to the two figures, hardly dressed for capture the flag in a romper and tennies, but it wasn't like she was given much notice for it. With a rubber band, she yanked the mass of black waves up into a messy bun atop her head and came up beside Rhea, bumping the girl in the hip with her own in a friendly way. She had never heard of capture the flag, but it sounded like it was a physical game and Mariah enjoyed blowing off steam with some good old fashioned exercise. The bitterness of her house had vanished when Mariah had finally skulked out of the common room and met a vast amount of children to enjoy her time with, so she came off as a lot more friendly than she had when Rhea and Mariah first met.. in a hall.. with a prefect and a suit of armor.
She shook off the memory and looked to the professor, waiting for an explanation on what they were doing and what they would win, because surely if he wanted to entice children into a game there would be a reward. House point maybe? Or some other sort of prize?

Preparing for the Future
Kaegen moved up to the hill where the professor was standing with a girl he didn't know, and one he did. He moved silently over the grass, and so fluid he seemed to be a part of the waving green leaves. His scarf flapped behind him in the breeze, but the fabric was so soft it didn't make a sound either. It was like someone had opened up the universe's volume mixer and muted this one boy. When he arrived, he recognized the professor as professor magnifying glass from the ancient runes class. The unknown girl was talking to him, about the game and how it worked. He didn't know her, so decided to go with a informal introduction. Nothing as grand as his official introduction, something casual.
His voice wasn't quite muted, but it was close. A whispering, rustling, faraway voice could be heard, as quiet as it was it did seem to carry quite a ways.
"I am Kaegen Deathmote, Fens-born Scarf-wielder"
He left out the rest, he was feeling just a little nervous, and didn't know why. It was a weird sense of nervousness, that made him question how long of an introduction he was supposed to have. Who would even question their own introduction? It made sense, he supposed. He hadn't played this game before, and it very well could be a bit nerve wracking. Were they competing for a prize, or for fun? How big of a prize?

Marcus, hearing the ancient runes professor call the students to the grounds for Capture the Flag quickly ditches the group he was with gesturing for them to follow as he hurries to the grounds so he can greet The Professor of Ancient Runes, bowing his head to Magnus he smiles "Greetings Lord Rosier it is a pleasure to finally meet you, sir i have heard a lot about you and your family history from my father, seeing as our family's are allies, i would hope to speak with you in the future sir" he rose up nodding to Magnus as he stands beside Rhea "Greetings Heiress Bishop" he greets the girl next to him as he waits, a bit excited to impress The Lord Rosier during this game.
Looking around as he waits, he attempts to study the runes around the field 'Merlin he is a genius, even with my family leading the rune market i have no idea of the runes and wards he used' he thought with admonishment looking over to the professor with a look of respect that one rarely sees in Marcus , nodding 'Somehow, someway i will be his apprentice' he thought moving away from the runes and wards.

Preparing for the Future
Phedra was coming back from her Herbology class when she first heard the announcement. Capture the flag? She had never heard of such a thing - must be some sort of muggle game. What did it even compose of? She briefly imagined two silly looking people throwing a dirty, old piece of fabric back and forth at each other. That didn't seem to be a lot of fun, but hearing about muggles and their oddities, she was curious to see. And besides, as her father liked to say, know your enemies, right? Adjusting the heavy weight of her shoulder bag, she changed course back to the Grounds."Attention Students, I am Professor Rosier for those who don't know who I am, I will be starting a capture the flag scrimmage out on the grounds for those who want to be apart of this meet me out on the grounds, that is all!"
Arriving to the courtyard, Phedra saw that she was quite early; the only people before her being a girl with bright red hair, a short Hufflepuff, two boys, and an adult man, who obviously must have been the Ancient Runes professor. What was his name again? The name in the announcement escaped her. Oh well, she'd figure it out by introducing herself, and besides, she wanted to make a good first impression. Study of Ancient Runes was on her list for the future. One could imagine how helpful it would be with her newest possession from Hogwarts Library.
Walking up to the group, Phedra gave her most polite smile. Looking at the redhead (there were lots of them in Gryffindor), she recognized her to be Rhea Bishop, a prefect. The two had never talked, but Phedra heard enough of the pureblood family. Standing near her was a tiny Hufflepuff. Phedra couldn't recall her name at all, and felt a little bad. The Ravenclaw boy she knew to be Kaegen, and the Slytherin Marcus. All of these kids were strangers - but she hoped they could band together and win.
"Hello there," she started, "I'm Phedra Stavrou. I'd like to play this odd little game called Capture the Flag... What is it?" she finished, placing a hand to her hips.

Magnus glances over to the newcomers after speaking to Rhea "Greetings to everyone, like i have informed Miss Bishop, Capture the Flag is a game we did at my school Illvermorny for 1st Gens or Muggleborns, Halfbloods and Purebloods the game helps with teamwork , cooperation and planning, two or more teams will receive flags, both teams have to defend their flag while attempting to take the other team's flag, i will have a prize for the winning team, but it will be a surprise" he informs the students nodding in greeting to Marcus "Inform your father that i will speak with him about your suggestion" he informs Marcus then nods to Kaegen "Hello again, hopefully you haven't been getting in trouble since the study session" he says to Kaegen with a small grin "Anyone have any questions?" He asks the ever growing group of students "The field that is inside the runes and wards is the play area so you have fields, and forests as well as apart of the lake is the play area" he added on to what he informed the students "please do not mess with the runes while you play if you do, you may be critically injured as well as lose your house points for interfering."

Rhea nodded at the professor's explanation, understanding the vague concept. So, there were teams? And this was to be a competition of skill and of other sorts. Rhea smirked and instantly knew that she would win. There was no doubt about it. Then, the professor asked about her family. How he knew her family was beyond her, but perhaps he had some sort of connections with them because of their positions. Or maybe the professor had some sort of connections to her parents, one that didn't know of. With a shrug, she answered him.
"They're doing pretty well, I think," she said, furrowing her eyebrows. "My father's still the Head of the Auror Office, and mother's still an Arithmancer." Rhea wanted to get off the topic of her parents as fast as possible, not liking to talk about them. Even when they weren't there, mentions of them still send a chill down her back. Instead, she took a quick look at the others who had already found their way to where she was standing.
There was Mariah, who was coming up to stand next her. She gave her a hip bump, and Rhea smiled warmly back. She took a look at what the small Hufflepuff was wearing, and with a raised eyebrow, saw that she was wearing a romper.
"Do you really think that's the best thing to wear for this?" Rhea said with a light chuckle, teasing the girl. But she wasn't really one to talk herself, was she? She was wearing cutoffs with an oversized shirt, a small flannel over it to protect her from the slight chilliness, and high top white converse that she'd had to beg her parents to buy for her.
Rhea turned to look at the others who had approached the hill. Two other boys and one more girl. It seemed two were in Ravenclaw, and one was in Slytherin. They each introduced themselves -Kaegan Deathmote, Phedra Stavrou, and Marcus De Wynter. Rhea had heard of Marcus's family, and of Phedra's as well. She smiled a polite smile at them, and then returned her attention to Magnus. Phedra, it seemed, did not know how to play Capture the Flag. He went on to explain once more, and explained the boundaries of the playing field. Rhea listened attentively, and then turned around to look for more people who would come to play the game with them. The more people there were, the merrier, Rhea guessed. She decided that if she saw any potential students that would play the game, she would wave and invite them over.

Preparing for the Future
Cel sidled over to the only faces she recognized in the crowd of gathered students. Minutes before, she had heard the announcement of a game-- and she had positively squealed. She'd played the game before and enjoyed the adrenaline and competition it seemed to inspire in her.
The girl was not wearing a skirt-- thank the gods for that-- and had, as usual, a single sheathed knife at her side, but it was small and likely wouldn't get in her way of running, though she probably wouldn't be able to use it in the game.
Capture the Flag was usually a muggle game, however, wasn't it? Well, that was all right. She could use some more exercise. Her hair would stay down, irrevocably down, in any manner of exercise, no matter what she was advised to do, and her shoes seemed to be fine for running today. Her mind hadn't been weathered down from too much work, but she needed a break from scribbling madly with her quill-- already, a red spot was forming on the side of her middle finger from the rubbing.
As Cel approached, she quickened her pace, seeing that the professor had begun speaking, but raised an arm in greeting to the faces she knew.
