Ilvermorny's arrival would not go unnoticed. The journey was lengthy, tedious even. Their Headmaster insisted that they sail from America to England nd even with the advantages of magic travel took several days and the eccentric Headmaster insisted that he speak to every single crew person. He embarrassed (likely) almost every student in his company. That was simply the boat ride. He did not want top simply appear in the great lake, he wanted to 'explore' London in particular. There was some shopping, a great deal of it was in narrow alleyways filled with unscrupulous individuals but no harm would come to any of the students.
As for what he purchased --
This time it was a small (by small it was a fifty piece, but by his definition 'small') marching band that would clamor as they made their approach in open wagons drawn by thestrals to the gates of Hogwarts. He would instruct the students, however unlike the other schools and despite his flamboyant exterior there was an uncharacteristic graveness to his words. "Be careful, this school is dangerous."

From there they went on the Hogwarts Express. There was a lengthy lecture regarding the landscape of the UK. The students would somehow survive. At least the train ride gave them some space, there were private cars and there were sweets for sale. The train ride was one of the more tolerable experiences. Everything would come crashing down when they reached Hogsmeade. It was a familiar scene, the Headmaster attempting to finagle something 'sensational' with the locals. He discussed the possibility of waiting until unset and setting off fireworks to mark their approach. An option that received a near unanimous 'no.' There were a few that liked to live fabulously.Candles, several phials filled with a thick crimson substance and some thread.

Fyodor had lingered back from the crowd as his fellow students climbed into the open carriages. He for one, had no interest in getting in at all. Perhaps it was his fear of riding in a carriage pulled by nothing. He was told they were thestrals, yet it still seemed suspicious to him. He followed reluctantly, his eyes falling upon Miles'. He fought the urge to make eye contact, because it would surely trigger the boy into engaging in conversation.
He felt a small twinge of nausea build up in his stomach, yet his expression lie still. Despite the discomfort he'd been in, he'd not dare let motion sickness tear his pride. Instead, he closed his eyes momentarily, exhaling softly through his nose.
His first thought had been about the entire trip had been skeptical, as the rumors certainly didn't do their reputation any good. Apparently, some students were almost killed in the dungeons, and then there was an incident in the forest? It was a pathetic excuse for a school if you asked him, though he refrained from speaking on it.
He began to think about Charles, and if he would really see him. He'd been told through letters he was arriving for racing, though he couldn't tell if it was a prank or not. He liked to do that often, as much as he knew Fyodor hated it. As of the moment, the only thing he wished to do was get out of this damn carriage, waiting for the moment they would literally fall from the sky because of the "invisible horses".
Fyodor ran a hand through his hair, a sigh escaping his lips. It had only been five minutes, and his first impression of the school had already been distasteful. Perhaps he could wait in the carriages when they arrived and be flown back to America. Maybe it wasn't too late.
Nonetheless, he attempted to make the best of it, as what was the point in suffering the whole time? He was already here, therefore it was in his best interests to just try and enjoy himself. So with that, he pushed down his collar due to habit and glanced over at the others in his carriage, not bothering to make himself seem friendly.

ROLEPLAYING AS NOVUS ESNOS, ILLVERMONY INPC (open to interactions)
Novus didn't really mind his school's headmaster. He was... strange, yes. Annoying at times. But nothing about him stood out as malicious or... well... concerning. Then again, maybe the boy was just a terrible judge of character. Throughout most of the way to Hogwarts, the Half-Blood did his best to be by himself. It wasn't due to a lack of friends, of course. Novus wasn't the most popular, but he wasnt a loner either. No, the reason that he didn't want to socialize was that he needed to prepare himself for Hogwarts. Such a wondrous place; one that was so incredibly big and full of life, sure, but also one where he could blend in. Back in the states Novus couldn't recall ever meeting another person with a mixed nomaj-wizard heritage. In Illvermony, the idea that there would be someone his age who shared his problem was ludicrous.
Then again... maybe excitement wasn't the right thing to feel. Maybe it was fear. As incredibly accepting as Hogwarts was, it also had a history of being dangerous. During Novus's first visit, he had attended a ball that was attacked by a group of... well... he wasn't sure. Criminals? Obviously, but who they really were remained a mystery.
It was this very question that lingered in his mind as the group was driven from Hogsmeade to the castle. Any concern that he may have felt disappeared nearly as soon as the carriages were brought to the gates, instead replaced by an overwhelming sense of hope. Hope for what? Unclear.

Ilvermorny made sure that you knew that they were coming. The procession to the gates was if nothing else loud. Erin was on the grounds, hunting her evening meal along the fringe of the Forbidden Forest. She had found a snake, one of her preferred meals. They tasted vaguely like chicken. She normally hunted in the dungeons at this hour but she wanted to remain vigilant on this day as two of the three schools had already arrived.
They had waited until late in the day, but better late than never. She remembered the first time Ilvermorny visited Hogwarts. It was last year around this same time. They had attended a ball that ended in disaster. That ball was proof that the girl was not mad, a pair of giants had attempted to kidnap a student and then fought to their deaths. There were strange happenstances the days that followed. A stillness that unsettled her. The students and Professors seemed to be in this haze, as the number of her peers dwindled nobody seemed to care.
She suspected Ilvermorny of being an evil school. Things only got worse when they arrived last time. She expected disaster to follow them once more. She was no longer in her wizard robes that she wore during the day, she was wearing a sweater and a pair of long black pants. The night-time chill could be felt but the cold did not bother her much anymore. She would do nothing, she was there to observe.

Miles never liked boats or planes, so traveling was always the worst thing ever. He’d been on a boat before, but only once. It was when he and his parents went to Florida to see his uncle. He had a boat, and so they sailed around for a bit, but it wasn’t a huge BOAT boat. It was just a boat. That was a BOAT boat, what they sailed to London on. Miles was nauseous the entire trip. Being anxious and sick the whole time didn’t stop Miles from being talkative though, and he made a few friends with the crew on board.
Someone he tried his best to befriend was Fyodor, though he really couldn’t tell where he stood with the kid. They were dormmates, but never really friends. It was tough trying to hang around him, he never smiled, at least not with Miles. It was terribly exhausting, but Miles persisted. He wanted to see the kid laugh. Theo was a different story, though, wasn’t he? He was… how could I explain it without being rude… Messy? Oh, but in the best way. He was so much more fun than most of the other kids because of it.
Miles quickly noted how everything felt so odd, quiet, and eerie at Hogwarts. What the Headmaster said wasn’t helping either. Miles wasn’t sure he wanted to know what this school is dangerous meant. But it couldn't be so bad! Why would someone bring a bunch of kids to a place if they could get hurt there? Or was the guy trying to get all of his students brutally murdered? It was hard to tell. The Headmaster, Plott was super weird in general. Still, if there was one person Miles ever looked up to, it was that Crazy McCrazypants man right there.
Sure, Miles trusted Headmaster Crazypants a lot, but that didn't stop him from being spooked by the scary aesthetic Hogwarts had. Desperate to break the spooky silence, Miles found Fyodor and started talking. “You think if I stole some Hogwarts uniforms, they’d think I was a student? I have an accent I could use.” Miles cleared his throat. “Well, how do you do, good sir? Tis I, a Gryffindor.” He winked. “Cheers, pip pip, tea! Uhm… crumpets?” He wondered if anyone really spoke like that. I guess I’m about to find out, he thought to himself.

Roleplaying as iNPC Andrew Lycan
@Ginevra Tsuchiya as iNPC Gregori Erkens
Two or three more students could join the carriage, but please wait until after @Ginevra Tsuchiya posts!
Drew tended not to overthink things. Sometimes, he under-thought things. Like the fireworks. Why not? They should totally set off some fireworks to mark their arrival. The abseloute best way to welcome Andrew Lycan to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He was astounded at the overwhelmingly negative vote- Why. The. Heck. Not? Plus, the man was the headmaster- couldn't he do whatever he wanted? Drew thought he was cool and friendly, and because of how confident he was, he was one of the few that was not embarrassed when the headmaster had come to talk to them.
Drew had sat with Gregori Evans, his best friend, on the train. Nobody else had wanted to come sit with them, and that was okay with Drew. Greg was amazing even by himself. Plus, Drew wanted to make sure that he was comfortable in the new place, especially with all the people. What better way to do that than to stick by his side like the loyal friend he was?
Anyway, here they were, about to get in the carriages that pulled themselves, except, not really. But Drew couldn't see the Thestrals, so in his mind, the carriages did pull themselves. The castle loomed above their heads. It was almost eerie. Plus, the headmaster, who was usually so friendly and upbeat- his voice was dark as he warned them about the dangerous castle. No kidding. It was surrounded by a dangerous forest, and had a dangerous lake on its grounds. Seriously, why was this the site for the school? Were the founders really that desperate? Rose admired this place so much, and Drew knew she could go on for hours about everything in Hogwarts. Drew looked up at the castle, crossing his arms casually. He addressed Greg, who was beside him. "Creepy, huh?" The next carriage, that was pulled by nothing, pulled up, stopping so Drew and Greg could get in. Drew climbed in, taking the carriage in. Because of the warning of the headmaster, he didn't trust this carriage that much. Apart from Drew and Greg, it could probably hold two or three more people- if said students wanted to join the carriage with Drew and Greg. Drew was very popular, known for his extrovertedness, confidence, charisma, and, well, his strength. Greg was not. A lot of people were scared of him, and it was strange that the two boys were best friends. In other people's opinions, of course.

Phyllis had accepted a long time ago that their Headmaster was an absolute idiot. So for Merlin's sake, why did he find the need to continue to prove that point? What was going through that man's head? And had it honestly been necessary for him to come back? He'd done some weird staying-at-Hogwarts think last year which was probably the only thing that saved Phyllis' sanity. Hopefully he'd do that again.
But seriously, why would they take a boat? What about apparition or portkeys or literally any instantaneous travel? Or at least something faster than what they'd had. And then of course they couldn't just go straight to Hogwarts. Why the heck would they do that? No, they just had to go shopping of all things and then take the freaking train. That hadn't been that bad, honestly, but still, it had taken an annoying amount of time.
And of course it didn't stop there. Seriously, she was starting to think their Headmaster would drop dead if he did anything remotely reasonably and lacking of over-the-top dramatics. The redhead was starting to plan either Plott's murder or a huge prank that would show him for the buffoon he was because she needed something to do other than be annoyed out of her mind. Merlin, why would they not want to wait even longer so they could set of bloody fireworks? Her 'no' was one of the loudest in the chorus of voices that shut down yet another ridiculous idea of their ridiculous Headmaster.
He still insisted on a marching band and carriages that pulled themselves along, but at least it didn't take so long this way. Finally, the carriages parked. Here they were, back at Hogwarts, the school that seemed to attract an unnecessary amount of danger. After what had happened last year, Phyllis had already made up her mind to not attend the ball. For one, the general idea of balls sucked and she hated dresses. Besides, she liked living. Getting brutally murdered by a giant was not on her bucket list. Having a pickup game of Quidditch with whoever knew the ball was bad news sounded infinitely better, anyways. In a surprisingly serious voice, Plott warned them the school was dangerous. "Merlin, we know," she muttered; she was impressed he could actually say something without theatrics, but was still far too annoyed at him to be anything but snarky.
Phyllis quite comfortably dressed Muggle-style in a tee-shirt, jeans, and sneakers. If Plott had wanted them to dress up, then boohoo, even more reason for her to not. This time, there was no hesitation in hopping out of her carriage and onto the grass of the Hogwarts grounds. She didn't care this was her parent's school. She didn't care about her parents, period. Phyllis was here to have a good time and hopefully crush broom-racing and nothing was going to get in the way of that.
"Dude, hurry up. If I have to spend another minute in proximity of Plott I'm going to explode," she called back in the carriage, impatient to get far, far away from Plott. At least she had her best friend with her. They made quite the duo, really; Phyllis was fairly tall for her age, which was a stark contrast from her tiny BFF, but underestimating KK would be a huge mistake. Seriously, she was scary with a wand. She snorted as the sound of someone in one of the other carriages attempted a British accent and threw in a lot of 'pips' and tea references. "I dare you to talk like that the whole time!" she yelled in the direction of whoever had done the accent.

Feel free to hop in the same carriage as Evanore[/font]Evanore had been getting mixed feelings on behalf of the trip to Hogwarts they would be going on. Her previous experience at that particular school had not been a sensational one, though perhaps this time would be different. The entire thing wasn’t giving her any hope when she realized how their headmaster would be doing things. She didn’t hate the guy, not at all, she didn’t really hate anyone, but he was still… special. The girl had always preferred traveling by magical means, though she enjoyed the occasional plane flight or boat ride. If one wanted to see and experience the journey, and not just the destination, then those were great substitutes for some magical methods.
She was not surprised to see the carriages that were to take them up to the castle. She could only hope that Plott hadn’t planned some grand entrance that would be nothing but embarrassing, with that man though, one could never be sure. The small girl stepped up in a carriage, not really paying attention to who entered it with her, as long as it wasn’t the headmaster she’d be satisfied. There was not a cell in her body that wanted to be in the middle of his schemes. Her nerves were building up as they sat there in the carriages. Her mind flashed back to their previous visit, which ended in disaster to say the least. This trip would make up for it, she attempted to reassure herself and twindled her thumbs. A quiet laugh slipped from her lips as she heard the students from the other carriages. At least they seemed to be taking things a bit more chill than herself.

Hjørdis sighed as she watched the carriage arrive. Her silvery eyes watched with great hesitation. The last time this school had arrived, it spelled disaster. A disaster that they were still attempting to fix. In all honesty, the Head of Slytherin hated today. She was going to hate the next three weeks for maybe reasons. The main one being that it made it so much easier for imposters and intruders to sneak in. That was what happened last time and she did not have high hopes for the future. She just wanted these three weeks to go well. Not for their reputation or anything - though that was always a concern. But rather, for the safety of the students. It was stressful enough worrying about Hogwarts students, let alone visitors.
Three schools... The first had already arrived earlier in the day, now it was time for the second. From afar, she stood and watched the carriage arrive at the gates of the castle. Someone else would welcome them, she would hope. But for now, she was just watching. Mostly because after the last time, she was unsure about the Ilvermorny Headmaster. Plott had been around for far too many months. They finally got rid of him after almost a full year and... he was back. Would he be staying again? She sincerely hoped not but she could not trust him as far as she could throw him - which, with her noodle arms, was not very far at all.
With her hands behind her back, she stood tall in black and green wizarding robes. She was not one to wear robes often but today was a special occasion. She was, after all, trying to make it easier for them to identify who was who. If nothing else, she may as well represent her house today.

August stepped out of the carriage, stumbling slightly. It had been a long and tiring journey; he was ready to lie down in his Hogwarts bed. Would he get a bed? He turned to the closest person to him, not caring who it was. He was just like that, able to speak to anyone about anything at the drop of a hat. "Do you think we'll get beds, or will we have to sleep in the halls? I think both would be nice, although I believe a few students would have their concerns about sleeping on the floor." August said lightheartedly, giving a laugh. He barely listened to his classmates reply, if there was any, before looking around, scoping out places to make mischief, or join in any already in the works.
He noticed none of the tension in the air, and instead thought of it as excitement. He overheard a slight conversation and bounced over to them. “Cheers, pip pip, tea! Uhm… crumpets?” "What're you talking about? he asked eagerly, but didn't listen to their response either. His head turned in all directions, taking in the wonderful place that was Hogwarts. The name is questionable, but the rest I'm loving. This is going to be awesome!
A few moments later he set eyes on someone troubled. Adorned in emerald green and dark black robes, their face was set in a frown, but August looked past that. It was easy to see someone in your mind looking upset, but seeing someone happy took work. August straightened his hair and smoothed down his uniform, making sure he looked presentable. After all, when dealing out a compliment, one must looked perfect if they wanted to make it sincere. He decided that what this teacher needed was a good word, because perhaps they were just worried the students were rude.
He walked over the head of Slytherin and bowed to her, his nose close to the ground as he spoke. He always bowed when speaking to someone for the first time. It just felt as if it were appropriate. "Excuse me, miss? Might I say your eyes are beautiful?" August paused, hoping to let the compliment sink in before he spoke again. "I do hope that the worried expression on your face is just from the excitement of the day, and not from something larger. I would hate to see someone having a spoiled day when it is so wonderful outside, and the dance is coming up." he spoke sincerely, glancing up. His expression showed nothing but honestly and innocence. He believed compliments were far better than presents or gifts, and he did his best to hand them out whenever possible. Therefore, when he thought someone's eyes looked nice, he went out and said it, no matter what others may think of him. They were young, modest, and wholesome, just as August was.
