Relax Breathe Relax
Being at Hogwarts was amazing but sometimes just the sheer excitement and strangeness of it all gave Drey anxiety. His favorite thing to do to help himself de-stress since arriving at Hogwarts was simply to go outside find a nice shady spot under a tree and relax. Today was no different. He was so stressed with classes starting and meeting new people that it was getting hard for him to function. He grabbed his sketch pad and headed out to the grounds.
Once outside he walked around looking for the perfect spot. He wanted to find a secluded spot but not to secluded. He of course didn't want people to think he was some sort of odd recluse. He found the perfect spot. It was in view of the Great Lake and he could see people hanging out down there. He leaned up against the tree and started to sketch what he saw. Drawing was a favorite pass time of his and helped calm his over active brain. Sometimes it seemed like his brain just never stopped running. Even when he was sleeping it seemed like his brain was always running about something. He stopped sketching and looked at his picture for a bit before smiling and going back to drawing.

Mariah visited the lake often, her her bag filled with an assortment of items: her sketchpad, literature, and a quilt just for here. She often dressed for success, as her mother tended to call it. Today was one of her favorite rompers, purple with white flowers all over that you tended to see on your grandparents' furniture. She didn't know why she liked it so much. Maybe it was because it reminded her of older things. She liked looking at old things. It gave off a sense of immortality, knowing how many hands it exchanged, how many lives it watched passing by. Now, however, she clutched the quilt under her arm and her bag in the other, heading in the direction of her perfect spot by the lake.
To her utter surprise, it was already taken. A boy lounged under the shade of the tree, his face and hand hovering over... a sketch pad! How ironic. A boy after her own heart. She wondered if he sat there to get the best view of the lake. Or maybe because it happened t ok have the perfect mixture of sunshine and shade. Mariah hesitated only a second before walking up beside him and unfurling her blanket. She sat with a thump and pulled out her own pad.
"I see you found my spot," she said, smiling.
