Anna was in the common rooms struggling with potions when she decided to take a break. The Hufflepuff dorm was noisy and it was hard to concentrate and Anna didn't have any friends. She started to wonder if the sorting hat made a mistake or if she was even eligible to be a good witch. With a heavy sigh, Anna got up from her desk and decided to go for a walk on the grounds. It was about to be dinner time but Anna didn't really care. The evening sky was bright orange and made the grounds look like it was illuminating, lighting the way for Anna for her walk. There was a sudden storm a few days ago and now the grounds were covered in a white blanket of snow. Anna saw the people laughing and playing with the snow, making snow angels and having snow ball fights. Anna liked to watch people get nailed in the face with a big cold snowball, it made her giggle. One by one, people playing in the snow went inside to warm up and get ready for dinner but Anna continued to walk alone and soon she was by the forest. She looked back at the grounds, decorated with foot prints the students left behind in the snow. Maybe I should go get dinner Anna thought to herself and started to put her foot in front of the other to go back.
Boof. Anna was suddenly knocked to the ground by a heavy blanket from the top of a tree.
"Hey!" she yelled at the tree.
"That's not funny, I'm really cold!" There was no response. "Stop hiding!" She yelled again, but like before there was no response.
She marched over to the tree and punch the bark. "Ow!" Anna exclaimed, for she is very weak so not only did this do absolutely nothing, her fist is now bleeding.
She glared at the top of the tree once more then put her back to the tree and started walking.

But she heard another noise, as if there was an animal up on the tree tops. It sounded like it was hurt, or maybe it was Anna's imagination.

Anna started to try and climb the tree but fell right back on her butt, when a stranger walks by and notices the strange girl making a fool out of herself.

The weather was not cooperating on this day, so the redheaded girl knew to make sure to bundle up appropriately when she went out to practice. The broom she used was not the best, but it would do for now. Although her parents could easily buy her the newest broom edition, Rhea preferred to save up for her own and buy it with her own money.

After practicing for quite some time, Rhea decided to take a small break. The Quidditch tryouts had tired her out, and all the extra practicing she'd put in was making all the more sore. She took to simply walking around the grounds, admiring the beautiful simplicity of them.

There seemed to be a snowball happening, but Rhea felt too tired and just not up for the adventure. She kept walking around, looking for another student who she could talk to - or, quite frankly, anything that could be a distraction.

Rhea was now nearing dangerously close to the edge of the Forbidden Forest, and there she heard noises. Curious, Rhea walked closer and saw a small girl jumping around a tree and then... punching it? Oh Merlin, the poor girl's fist was bleeding. Was she attempting to climb it now? Rhea laughed and walked closer to the girl, eager to find out her curious doings.

"What are you doing?" Rhea asked with a small laugh, leaning against the bark of the tree and gazing quizzically at the brunette girl.

Anna fell to the ground after poorly attempting to climb the tall piece of wood.
What are you doing?
Anna jumped a little as she found a red head girl leaning against a tree grinning at her failure.
Anna looked up at the girl, her cheeks glowing red from the cold and from embarrassment. “i heard an animal... i think it’s stuck up there!”
this wasn’t exactly a lie, Anna knew there was an animal up there but she didn’t know what kind of animal it was or if it was in danger or not. She didn’t even know if the animal was still there but something drew Anna to climbing the tree anyways. Anna stood up from the snowy ground and faced toward the girl leaning up against a tree. She hid her bloody hand behind her back, hoping the gryffindor didn’t see her punch the tree.
what are you still doing down here anyways it’s almost dinner?”
Anna asked trying to change the subject.
Actually, this could be her chance to get up to the tree. "Never mind that, would you like to help me climb the tree? If you boost me up I could reach that branch up there and pull myself up."   There was a pause. "Come on, I'm not that heavy," She said.
She looked at the girl who was obviously very confused, and gave her a shy grin.

Rhea raised an eyebrow as the girl jumped up in surprise. She answered her question immediately, saying that there was an animals stuck up in the tree. Rhea gasped and realized that she had to help the poor animal; there was no way that she could leave an animal in pain. She looked at the girl and decided that she would help. However, before she got the chance to state her opinion on the matter, the other started to ramble about how it was almost dinner and why was she out there anyway.

“I was practicing Quidditch, but got too tired and decided to take a break,” Rhea answered the girl’s question as to why she was there. “And I know it’s almost dinner, which is why I decided to take a break.”

The girl then told Rhea to push her up a bit. Rhea raised an eyebrow, not knowing if she was able to do that, even if the other was light.

“I’m pretty small myself,” Rhea told her. “I dunno if I’d be able to lift you up. But here, step up. I’ll try, but don’t blame me if you fall.”

Rhea intertwined her fingers to make a step up for the other girl. She beckoned for the girl to come closer and to step on her hands so she could lift her up and the girl could grab onto a tree branch. Rhea guessed that she would be able to climb the tree after she helped the other girl up, and together they could help save the animal.

Anna smiled awkwardly when the confused Gryffindor agreed into helping her saving the animal. The red head girl that Anna still hasn't learned the name of, put her hands in a form where Anna's foot could step on to be boosted toward the branch. Anna was lifted into the tree, pulling herself up on the nearby branch. It was the most exercise Anna has done since PE... In muggle school... last year. After she pulled herself up she rested on the branch, panting trying to catch her breath. She reached out her hand for her new friend to grab on. "C'mon, I'll pull you up," Anna said, trying to give a kind smile. She must've looked unflattering with her being covered in sweat and her heavy panting. She grabbed the girls hand and pulled up as hard as she could for the girl to grab the branch Anna was on. Surprisingly, the girl was pretty light. After she made sure the girl was holding onto the tree, she climbed higher into the tall plant to give the girl  some room to get on. The higher they climbed, the more invisible the got, covered by giant branches that could be trees themselves. The trees in the forbidden forrest were like giants, and Anna had always wondered what it would be like to climb them. And now, as she climbs she remembered she had a fear of heights.
As they climbed the tree to the top Anna decided to distract herself by introducing herself. "So, uh, I'm Anna. I'm a first year, what's your name?"
