GAME Tug o' War Closed

As soon as the lunch was over, the third year made his way to the Grounds. In his school bag he had a piece of lace from a shoe, since he had no actual rope for the game he had in mind. As soon as he reached the grounds he would cast the Engorgement Charm on the shoe lace and watched as it turned into a 12 meter long rope. This should be enough for the game of tug and Alan was quite excited about this.

For now the third year would wait on the grounds on a grassy pitch as he sat down on a picnic blanket to wait for anyone who might be interested in this game. He hoped that other students would join as well and could not wait for the first students to join in. But until other students had the time to approach, he would sit there and enjoy the sunny weather and the soft breeze as he took in his environment. Gone was the coldness of winter, spring flowers opening their petals to greet the sun and the trees greeting the approaching spring by growing back their leaves. A soft smile on his lips, he sat on the blanket with the rope next to him; well the shoe lace, but for now it would have to act as a rope for this game.

Cassie was bored out of her mind. 1 more day. 1 more day then you can't begin all of your classes. Cassie said to herself. She's been too long cooped up in her dorm, so she decides to get some fresh air. She wonder around, a lot of the upperclassmen still in session of their lesson or will be ended soon. Cassie decides to wanders around the school ground.

Cassie hasn't take all of her surrounding when she saw the Lake but here she is, on the school ground. Upon her view she sees a boy wearing red and yellow tie, on the ground she saw a rope that big enough for some kind of game. Cassie still new to some of the game that usually played by "Muggles" decides to approaches the boy that sat down on a picnic blanket enjoy the sunny weather. The soft breeze gently hit Cassie and the boy.

When Cassie approached the boy, she know by now the boy older than her (a Second or Third Year, perhaps?) Cassie wonders. The boy that sat in front of her has a dark brown hair and set of green eyes or is it blue?. "Hi!"Cassie greet the boy. "I'm Cassandra"Cassie continued by introducing herself to the boy. "Are you planning to have some kind of a game or something?"Cassie inquires as she seeing the rope near the boy and look at him.

Although he'd done some groundwork on interacting with others in the school, Zykeal still felt he could do more on the topic of his socialization. In this regard, he had made some inquiries with the other students and staff on where to go to find different activities to be apart of. The bulletin board was one of the pieces of advice that was given and it was a good one at that. From here, he found one of the clubs to apply to and a very interesting little contest to be apart of.

After class and a little bit of chit-chat with the fellow students, he headed down towards the grounds where the event would take place. When he got to the entrance of the grounds, he stopped. Dark golden hues scanned the grounds for a moment, it was when he saw the oversized shoelace that he had a little smirk play across his features and he made his way over to that grassy pitch where a few others were gathered at the moment.

"Hiya!", Zyk exclaimed. A little excitement was in his voice, happy to be actually doing something outside and couldn't wait to exert a little physical activity. For this school, which he's come to love, has had a serious lack of physical education. "I'm Zykeal, Zyk for short", he continued with that smirk he had on before turning into a full-blown smile now.

It was the 20th of April, a little after lunch time when Maria found herself briskly walking along the halls and pulling her hair back into a high ponytail on her way to the Grounds. There had been a flyer on the bulletin board advertising that there would be a game of classic Tug of War happening at about this time, and the badger girl wanted to join. She already anticipated that it would be different from the muggle version that she as used to, but it didn’t take away from the fact that it was fun and maybe it would also be an opportunity to make new friends.

When she reached the Grounds she craned her head and looked for where the event might take place. It was a nice day out, which meant several students were outside loitering around. Eventually, she spotted a few people gathering, and someone sitting next to… a giant shoelace? Yup, now she was sure she was in the right place. As she approached them she saw that among the participants was her friend Adohiro. She smiled and waved at the small Slytherin boy, relieved to see a familiar face. She also took in the other students present. From their robes she noticed that there was a Slytherin girl, a Ravenclaw girl who she had seen at Quidditch games, and two Gryffindor boys, one looking older than the other. The older boy in question sat on a blanket next to the giant shoe lace.

“Hi!” She said, addressing the older Gryffindor. “Is this where the Tug of War is happening?”

Adam had glanced right over the flyer on the bulletin board, but it was a lot harder to miss the group of people gathered around the giant rope out on the grounds. Curiosity took hold of him as it always did and he broke away from his original course, jogging over to see what was happening. He didn't have much planned after lunch anyway, and it had been a while since he'd gotten the chance to have fun with his classmates. His first-year snowball fight was still one of his favorite Hogwarts memories, and dodgeball earlier this year had been a blast. Whatever was going on here, it was sure to be just as exciting!

He arrived at the edge of the gathering crowd just in time to hear the last of the introductions. A Hufflepuff girl that he didn't recognize was asking about a game of tug of war, and suddenly Adam felt stupid. What other use was there for a piece of rope that size? Of course it was tug of war! He grinned and waited for someone to explain further, figuring that one of these students had to have brought the rope along with them. Most of them were strangers to him, looking a little bit younger than he was, but a few faces stood out. He waved to River, his fellow Ravenclaw, and smiled at the Gryffindor boy from their year too. The boy's name was on the tip of his tongue -- Adam? No, that was his name, he would've remembered if it was the same. Alan! Alan sounded right. Adam smiled at Alan and wondered if he should introduce himself.

After a moment's consideration, he decided that he didn't want to interrupt anything if introductions had already been made -- if anyone wanted to know his name, they could just ask him. Adam stood patiently as the breeze messed with his hair and waited for the game to begin. What a way to start the spring!

Anastasia Beckett didn't generally like games like Tug of War. They took little skill or strategy and focused almost entirely on brute force. However, she had a certain competitive streak that meant she pretty much couldn't turn down a challenge. It was mostly a good thing since it had helped her do eight months' worth of school in a matter of weeks. Sure, she had nearly given herself a heart attack from all the caffeine that she had consumed and she was also relatively certain that she was on the verge of a mental breakdown, but that was superfluous.

Anyway, she needed a break and to socialize with people that were real and her age as opposed to noteworthy people in her History of Magic book that were hundreds of years older than her. That was what had brought the young Gryffindor to the group of people who somehow thought that Tag of War was the absolute best way to spend their time.

As she reached the group, she tied her long dark hair into a high ponytail and scanned the group that was there. There were some boys she recognized as third years and a few other students who appeared to be her age or a bit younger. Still, there wasn't anyone that she actually knew, so she decided to just wait and see who else arrived.
