Note: If you applied in the past and want to apply again, unless there are changes you would like to make to your application, all you have to do is owl me to let me know and I will submit your previous application to the team.

WRITERS NEEDED
At last, the time has come where the Headliner needs two people to write main articles.
"But Alexx, what is a "Main Article"?
A Main Article is an article in the 700-800 WC range, typically covering big events (ex. dances, adventures, staff changes, etc.) Each member of the Main Article department gets to write ONE Main Article per month (this is to save the lives of our poor graphics team).
"Can I also write smaller articles?"
Absolutely! Every member gets to write THREE articles apiece, so you will get the chance to write TWO sub-articles in addition to your main article. However, we are requiring you to write Main Articles, as we have lost many Main Article people, and this is a Main Article role.
"What if I'm already on the Headliner team, just not as a writer?"
Then you likely know the drill, but just for clarification- yes, you do need to apply for this as well. The only exception I make to team applications is with the graphics team, as they need all of the help that they can get. But because this is our most popular role, yes, you do need to apply as well.
"If I applied for the editor position and am awaiting my results, may I still apply?"
Absolutely- in fact, I encourage it!

All that being said, applications are due to myself and Phaedra Stavrou by the 13th- that is one week from today. The application template can be found below.

Graphic Designers Needed!
We are looking for a third graphic designer to join the team, as we received a recent resignation.
This position entails that at the end of each issue, you will work with the two other graphic designers, along with Scott Alexander (illustrator) to put the issues into graphics. Given that the work is separated into thirds, you would be doing about 3-4 pages, and have one week to work on them. You get around a week to a week 1/2 to work on these. The primary systems that we use are Canva and Photoshop.
Prerequisites are that you absolutely must have Discord and be actively using it.
Please send your applications to me and Phaedra Stavrou by the 4th of December (one week from today).

Graphic Designers Needed!
We are doing something new here on the Hogwarts Headliner!
Graphics is easily the biggest job. It takes up a lot of time, and the team alone has to do a lot more than almost anyone else on the Headliner. That being said, it's hard to be able to take time off when there are so few people on the team.
What we're doing is opening up a sort of "reserve graphics" section. You will still get team access and be considered a member of the team, but you will not be working every single issue. We are looking for two other graphic designers.
When you do work, this position entails that at the end of each issue, you will work with the other graphic designers, along with Scott Alexander (illustrator) to put the issues into graphics. Given that the work is separated into thirds, you would be doing about 3-4 pages, and have one week to work on them. You get around a week to a week 1/2 to work on these. The primary systems that we use are Canva and Photoshop.
Prerequisites: You MUST have a Discord and be actively using it, along with knowledge of how Canva works. If you're not great at Canva but are at least familiar, no worries! We can guide you!
Please send your application into myself and Phaedra Stavrou by Friday, January 10th, 2020. DO NOT post your application in this thread under ANY circumstances!

WRITER NEEDED
I am sad to announce the departure of Emma Hill Emma has been with us since the Headliner team has formed, and I have had the pleasure of working with her since our initial trials. She's released many notable articles during her time here on the Headliner, and I am confident in saying that she will be sorely missed.
That being said, we are looking for a writer to fill her place. Emma wrote sub-articles only, so this person would be tasked with writing a maximum of three articles per month. Sub-articles are a maximum of 500 words, and can cover just about any topic.
Please send your application into me and Phaedra Stavrou by January 10th.
Prerequisites: You MUST have a Discord that you are willing to actively use
