Background

Sen was - still is - a quiet child. He doesn't remember who his parents were, but never really asked; all he knew was that they died in an accident and was then given to the orphanage, somehow surviving.

Sen could be seen in the quiet corners of the orphanage reading by himself. He never interacted with the other children as he got older, never finding the point to it when all the others would leave sooner or later.

He discovered his magic when he was about seven on a snowy winter, having gotten lost just a bit out of town and not knowing his way back. It terrified him as he was usually observant of his surroundings - he'd just been walking aimlessly and suddenly he was nowhere he was familiar with.

He started panicking, running in a random direction in hopes of finding the small town. He found himself tugged somewhere and fell down as it pulled him. When he got up, he found himself in a deserted street right around the corner of his orphanage. He didn't quite know what it was at that time, but there were a few instances that similar, strange things would happen.

This ordeal led him to despise the feeling of fear, as it caused him to think irrationally, and developed a fear of being isolated from everyone else around him. He subconsciously stays in populated areas (despite disliking crowds) and places he could easily be found.

Sen has also encountered quote a few bullies, simply because of his status as an orphan. He couldn't really understand others his age as he got older, and so started secluding himself in libraries to avoid commotion. This caused him to be socially awkward, and gets by in conversations via books.

He often has trouble sleeping at night as he dreams. Inside the dreams he would feel trapped and isolated, and whenever there's a major event in his life, his dreams turn into a nightmare. Sen suspects it's a form of trauma of some kind -perhaps reliving the accident of his parents death - but he isn't sure, the content being foggy and vague when he wakes up.
