Flash Holmwood ★ Fourth-year ★ Slytherin
I am no longer active on site, and have no plans to return, so this character is essentially archived. You may discord me to ask about godmodding.

In canon, Flash will have gone home for Easter holiday 2023 and vanished without explanation. Owls sent to his family will not be answered.

Faceclaim: Sean O'Pry
==============================
Full Name: Demetrius "Flash" Holmwood
Age: 14
Birthday: February 17th
Species: Human (Half-blood)
Height: 5'8"
Wand: 26,5 hornbeam wood and dragon heartstring
Wand description: Hornbeam wands prefer to choose talented wizards with singular, driven vision. They choose a wizard for life-- becoming so personalized that other people will find the wand difficult to use for even the simplest spells. The dragon heartstring inside is indicative of strong magical power and swift learning, as well as an intensely strong bond with its current owner. Flash's wand is said to always want to be by his side, whether it's being used or not. Flash is courteous and respectful to his wand, and only ever blames himself for incorrect casting.

Roleplayer: Flash
Discord: Flash#2355
Disposition: I should reply to any owls within 24 hours. I prefer to brainstorm on Discord and come to an agreement about what we want out of the thread, but I can also work with basic premises. All levels of writing skill are welcome, but I won't want to thread until we agree on a strong basic idea.

I am friendly, and love being approached about plot ideas, so please don't hesitate. If I'm too busy for new threads, it should be listed in the updates below.

Preferences: I like both serious and humorous posts. I prefer that every thread be meaningful to either or both characters in some way, even if it's small. If there's anything specific you would like focused on or revealed about your character, I would be glad to work with you on something.

I don't intend on entering Flash in any serious relationships until he is older, so if you intend on suggesting some kind of crush, just know that it will not likely be a romance.

Updates:
7/01/21 - Closed to new threads unless we've already talked about it for the summer. Might be doing camp things so will be open to interaction there.
9/23/21 - I still have more threads than I realistically have time for, but new planned ones are going to keep coming out. If you have an idea for a specific interaction, an event, or future plot still feel free to work out ideas with me on Discord or owls, but I may have to decline for time.
12/14/21 - I am open to talking about new thread ideas, but they may not come to fruition for a few months as I have a few threads open and upcoming and want to make sure not to overwhelm myself. Will be slower than usual when posting during the holiday season.
02/21/22 - I expect to be busy with threads for the foreseeable future, but please still tell me if you have a specific idea as I may be able to fit in a few more here and there

Flash Holmwood ★ Fourth-year ★ Slytherin
Personality Growth
[ENFJ]
Age 11
Reducio
Flash is outwardly calm and collected, pretending to be more mature than he is. He keeps clean, and intentionally tries to look approachable and friendly. He enjoys scrutinizing social hierarchies and dynamics and influencing them in his favor, in an attempt to parrot his politician older brother whom he admires. He wants attention and admiration, but knows from experience that one can't demand it outright. Instead, he tries to raise his reputation by exchanging social currency and remaining squeaky clean by all appearances. Because of this, he loves gossip and drama, and gathers blackmail and keeps secrets to wield power in his relationships. As a child, he does these in mimicry of his family and doesn’t understand how to function in a social setting otherwise.

He keeps people at arm's length in order to appear untouchable and flawless, but one who is let into his confidence would learn that he is insecure about his identity and afraid of failure. He feels immense pressure to be unique and be the best at whatever he does. Coming from a rich family with a well-known name in the muggle world, he was taught decorum and manners from a young age. His true talents, unbeknownst to him, are his willpower, ingenuity, and charisma. He is always curious, keeping his ear to the ground for anything out of the ordinary or interesting going on. His greatest weakness is his fragile pride, and an overwhelming fear of being ignored and forgotten.

To those who have low social standing, he is generally kind and helpful. He knows that by being friendly to everyone he meets, his reputation overall will continually improve. He lives by an upright moral code, but has little regard to the fate of people he deems immoral. He is proper and polite to strangers, and remembers the name of anyone who he’s been properly introduced to. He is dubious of people in positions of authority, having heard plenty of stories of corruption and misuse of power at the dinner table.

When he is not being chased by his ambitions, he likes to relax with solitude. He appreciates the sights and sounds of nature, so will endeavor to find a place away from the noise of mankind. When he is feeling energetic, he likes to sing songs, or go on a jog. He spends most of his free time strolling around the halls of the castle, eavesdropping and watching.
Age 12
Reducio
After his birthday, Flash started to be challenged in his view from several angles. He learned many lessons as he tried and failed to build friendships and connections. He began to open up slowly, to a select few people who he started to trust. Once he had learned that love was the key to earning someone's trust, he began to love a bit too strongly. Not having learned proper boundaries with close friends, Flash kept pushing to see how far he was supposed to go. His experiences with care and love from his peers removed the cold and callous approach he had tried where he only saw people as pieces to be manipulated, and started to desire love.

When his inexperienced attempts resulted in catastrophe, he pulled back again, trying to be empty and enjoy other peoples' happiness second-hand. To assuage his confusion about why he couldn't stop himself from ‘acting out’ (read: acting like a normal child with emotions), he continued to deny that there was anything wrong about ignoring his feelings for the sake of the greater good. He insisted that expressing himself was undesirable, and that people were better off only knowing the clean and reliable version of him that had so far earned him respect and attention.

In no small part due to a dramatic intervention by Burnett, Flash came to realize that he was walking down a dark path. His friends implored him to stand up for himself, while Burnett saw through his facade and felt sorry for him. It was only after that, and the weight of the stress it had been putting on him to constantly deny his feelings, that Flash began to lose part of the fear that he had for his family's legacy, and stopped trying to be everything for everyone.

Now Flash has to figure out who the person is that he had been repressing for so long. Even more, he had to face his family again after having had a year of mostly failures (in his eyes). Although it meant very little for his reputation, his foray into being more genuine had earned him many dedicated friends. While they might not all be able to understand him, he treasures their attention and seeks to support them and help them grow.
Age 13
Reducio
After a traumatic event over summer, Flash is more confused than ever. He's become more paranoid of authority, and fearful of death. He can no longer stand to be alone for too long before descending into a panic attack. Despite this, his friendships and connections only grow stronger with time. He depends on his friends to relieve the stress he puts on himself, but remains emotionally distant, in an attempt to spare them the trouble.

While he had made some headway in becoming his own person, the attempts became muddled with fear and expectations. He wants to rebel against his family, but also thinks they might be right. He wants to become even closer to his friends, but he doesn't want to be too vulnerable. He wants to be alone to cope with the stress of his life, but feels responsible for things going right. He is constantly pulled back and forth between what he 'wants' to do and what he 'should' do, with neither gaining significant purchase in his heart, and instead have started to rip him apart. This manifests in worsening anger management issues. While completely peaceful in his conflicts the year before, he has started to become more violent and angry in his approach to problems, though afterwards he would regret it.

While recognizing that he has a problem and actively trying to address it by spending time with friends, finding time to relax, and letting out his frustrations by playing the drums, none of it is healing the root of his pain, and the fact that it isn't is only making his frustration grow. His eager curiosity and over-confidence landed him in several difficult situations that would scar him for the rest of his life. As a multitude of bad things continue to happen to him, he tries to keep a strong face, not knowing what to do besides continue to move forward.

The image he had created for himself of a responsible and reliable young man with manners and kindness holds true despite his struggles, and his name is well liked around school, where he has little to no enemies. Those that would endeavor to say a bad thing about him would find staunch resistance as he has secured a hefty shield of people willing to defend him at the drop of a hat. He still goes out of his way to be polite and accommodating, but with age and disappointment, he has learned when to say no, and how to lay boundaries.
Age 14
Reducio
As Flash was growing alongside his peers, he was able to escape the sheltered mindset he had growing up that tethered him to self-pity and self-hatred. With the intelligence and tenacity to continually grow into a better person instead of giving in to despair, Flash started to rebel against his family’s wishes to pursue his own interests without shame. It is a struggle, and the amount of willpower he needs to exert to continue this path wears at him constantly, making him more often than not weary and jaded.

He has been distracted from his route towards self-discovery by the trials and tribulations of life at Hogwarts, an assault by a hag being a major contributing factor to the delirium of his third year. Cursed with sleeplessness and traumatized by several near-death experiences, Flash has attempted to maintain a normal life, not wanting to let go of everything he had worked to build. He was able to reach out for help to his friends to some degree, but nothing sincerely helps the growing dark cloud growing over him, and the storm it foretells.

As an early bloomer, puberty had already passed for Flash, but hormones would not make this turbulent time any easier for him. He channeled his aggression through drums and physical fights, pushing himself with daily exercise with the excuse of staying fit. After a failed attempt at a normal relationship the prior year, and multiple bad experiences with intimacy, Flash both desires a romantic relationship and fears it. He does not address this development, as there are too many more important issues at the forefront of his mind. Currently, it only becomes more complicated as he inadvertently flirts with everyone he likes.

To be continued…

Anything rightly done, however humble, is noble
Reducio
Flash respects people who work hard for their goals. Even if he finds you otherwise reprehensible, he respects people who try their best when things get difficult. He himself follows through with the tasks he sets for himself, even to extreme costs. He can be trusted to do as he says without cutting corners.
To be agreeable and polite is to respect your fellow man
Reducio
The basis of common decency is to not offend by your presence. “Be clean, kind, and consider the comfort of the people around oneself.” To be polite is to make the world a better place.
There is no such thing as absolute truth
Reducio
The truth is a matter of perspective and information. Given the unreliability of human senses, one can never truly understand the nature of everything, therefore cannot comprehend the truth. Instead, the truth is an educated opinion, and can mean the world looks completely different from one person to the next. Flash likes to think every person has their own truth, so often seeks to see things from their point-of-view. Once he sees through their eyes, he can speak in their language to better control and predict their actions.
Some people are special, and they should be treated like they are special
Reducio
There is nothing wrong with living a normal life, every person is important to some capacity. Still, some people are special, and they need to be nurtured and cherished. Someone with the potential to cause a big impact, or even just someone he gets along with perfectly. The reason they are special doesn’t matter as much as it is important that Flash protects and supports them.
Humility in defeat: pride and dignity should be maintained
Reducio
One shouldn’t act out or cause a scene. It only makes things worse. Personal vendettas and emotional reactions should be ignored when in an argument if at all possible. What matters is staying above the conflict. If he’s discovered for his manipulation or rule bending, he will admit defeat and accept his punishment.
When things go wrong, no one notices until it’s too late
Reducio
Flash is always keeping an eye out for things that are out of place. He knows the layout of the castle, many of the hidden rooms and passage ways, tries to keep informed on current events in the newspaper and in gossip and rumors. He does not like lacking information, and always starts gathering intel the moment he is in a new situation.
His life only matters in as much as it benefits others
Reducio
Flash sees himself as a nobody. His focus is on influencing other people, and he rarely talks about himself unless directly asked. Even then, he will describe himself as boring or plain. He is an agent of good, and tries to influence the world without being himself a part of it.
Out of touch outside his interests
Reducio
Flash had a somewhat sheltered childhood, spending most of his time isolated from society on the massive acreage of the Holmwood estate, not a soul for miles. He is ignorant of quite a few things that would be common knowledge for many, such as how cooking works. Even in subjects in school that aren’t important to his research, he can be woefully uninformed. His depth of knowledge also comes with a bit of narrowness.
Bitter and blunt, with a superiority complex
Reducio
It takes some work to get past Flash’s faces, and once there you would be confronted with an angry, indignant child. He doesn’t like being toyed with, made a fool of, or told how to live his life. He is bitterly jealous of people who don’t ‘have to try as hard’ as he does, and given an outlet, he will inevitably complain about his life. If his politeness has been declined, he will join the rudeness, so long as there isn't pleasant company nearby.
Unable to see his own perspective
Reducio
Flash often comes off as a hypocrite when he offers other people advice that he would do well to take himself. Rather than try to improve his life, Flash is focused on disconnecting himself from his feelings and desires, and has lost touch with his identity.
Killed by curiosity
Reducio
Flash is too curious for his own good, and will poke a sleeping lion if he thinks it will benefit him. This has done him no favors, instead landing him in increasingly dangerous and life threatening situations.

=====================================
Athletic build and calloused hands beneath a polished, refined facade. Blue eyes and brown hair left un-styled but neat. When he can, he likes to accent his clothes with bright colors that draw attention.

He has excellent posture, and rarely makes exaggerated expressions of emotion. He is taller than many boys his age, and his skin is slightly tanned by time spent outside.

Wears a watch on his right wrist and a friendship bracelet on the left, with green, yellow and blue woven together. Wears homemade perfume, often floral in smell.
===========================
Year Two
Reducio
Steadily growing in height, Flash continues to look older than he is, both in his height, muscle, and the way he carries himself. No longer an unknown, Flash is often surrounded by people, drawing attention and seeming to command authority, whether deserved or not. His immaculate posture and friendship bracelet are still there, but the watch he had was replaced by another, a gift from Willow Anderson. He no longer wears floral perfume. Nowadays, his expressions are colder, and he is often scanning the room and the crowds for anything out of place.

Year Three
Reducio
Image

=====================================
Steadily growing in height, Flash has stayed fit and clean. He continued wearing perfume from wildflowers at the Holmwood estate to stave off the smell of blood. On his first day back at school, he had a mark inscribed on his chest above his heart, and his left eye was removed and replaced by a brown one. He is more often seen with dark circles, disoriented, panicked, and pale. He is incapable of having a decent night's rest due to a curse he suffers under, which has made him more easily provoked into fits of anger.

Flash Holmwood ★ Fourth-year ★ Slytherin
Childhood
As a child of a well established family in Durham, Flash had many opportunities growing up. He went to a private boarding school in his youth, and lived in comfort and luxury. His muggle father was a quiet man, one who preferred the silence of animals to a loud gathering. He met Flash's mother, a witch who specialized in writing magical scrolls, through their mutual love of horses. They had five children, Flash being the second youngest.

While close and loving as a family unit, Flash struggled to stand out among his accomplished siblings. His eldest brother had become a high ranking member of the Ministry of Magic, while the second born son became a defense against the dark arts specialist, looking towards a future career as an Auror. His oldest sister planned to succeed her father's business as a bloodstock agent and already worked for him. Then, they had the audacity to have yet another child after him. His mother was well respected in the wizarding world, and his father was powerful man among muggles.

Flash didn't know where he fit into the picture. He was born Demetrius Holmwood, but early on insisted on being called Flash instead. He would cause mischief, act out, or start a ruckus by making a scene when they were in public. He always tried to get attention, either by the brightly colored clothes he wore or by telling jokes or singing songs. He tried every hobby he could think of, with his parents footing the bill for horseback riding, football, and track, but nothing stayed. Flash was adrift in the overwhelming amount of choices, unable to find anything that would truly set him apart.

More often than not at his young age, he went to great lengths to make himself appear more noteworthy. If it is a matter in which he will come off looking good, he will go to extremes to prove himself. Due to his admiration of him, Flash's oldest brother Valerius imparted an deep interest in studying speech and oration. He saw how easily Valerius seemed to grab the attention of everyone he spoke to, and get them to see his way. As he asked him questions and read his book, Flash decided he would also learn to posses that level of control in his life.

In conversations, he will constantly try to maintain hold of the narrative. He is most comfortable when his social networking pays off, or when someone simply does as he tells them to. (This will not always be enough... but here we are.) In spite of that, his family also taught him to be caring and helpful. They were a family of excellence, but also of justice and order, and he was expected to take part in chores and helping around the stable.

His older sister had not shown an aptitude for magic, so Flash felt a great deal of anxiety over his own magical fate. It was something he was eager to delve into, knowing what a forum for experimentation and creativity it could be. His panic relaxed when visiting one of his father's stables, when a pail he nearly knocked over stayed suspended in space instead.

Flash was inconsolable as he awaited the day when his new school life would begin, as well as the opportunity to prove himself.

Family
Information will be added to this section as it's revealed in RPs

Image

=====================================
Father Christoph Holmwood (59)
Owns three large stables across England as well as being an influential bloodstock agent. He is quiet and travels a lot, but it is clear he treasures his family and that his marriage is a happy one.
  • His ancestry has been associated with horses for generations. His parents were Kentucky royalty, who themselves were descendants of French dukes and duchesses
  • During Flash's holiday from school, he would let him come with him to work and help out around the stables
  • Keeps comic books and pulp novels from his childhood in boxes in the attic, unable to throw them out. He gladly allowed Flash to read them at his leisure
Mother Marianne (Flohorn) Holmwood (52)
Previously from the Flohorn family line, she made a name for herself as a magical scribe, as well as an artist. Her work was not appreciated in its day, but her free spirit and enthusiasm for creativity made her a mother that fully supported her children's' dreams. She is doting and loves to hug
  • Told Flash that dating in his preteen years was 'fleeting and silly'
  • When Flash would act out in front of important guests, she would lock him in his room until the gathering concluded
  • She throws charity balls all the time, and seems to delight in the radiance of wealth and influence
  • She and Marius are often together and talking to one another at gatherings, been referred to as 'The Maris'
  • Was a Slytherin during her tenure at Hogwarts
Image

=====================================
Image

=====================================
Oldest Brother Valerius Holmwood (34)
Works in the Ministry of Magic. Being the first born, he was given everything his heart could ask for. He was instilled with a great sense of justice, and sought to better the injustices of the wizarding world through politics. He fights to have his words heard, but also patiently plays the game, trying to find the right time to strike. As a Ravenclaw alumni, he is clever and decisive, always knowing what to say and when. He is beloved by the people he's helped and scorned by his political enemies.
  • Would talk to Flash on their morning jogs together, when he visited
  • Gave Flash the watch he wears
  • Left his book collection at the mansion, allowing Flash to read from it as he liked. It mostly consisted of heavy tomes about the art of speech, and how to engineer social situations
  • Gave Flash a copy of Fifth Business by Robertson Davies, thinking he would like it
  • Got a job in politics directly out of Hogwarts, going to college at the same time
  • Focused on issues of social justice for squibs despite it being a controversial subject given recent squib-related terrorist attacks
  • Started smoking cigarettes around the time Flash went off to Hogwarts
  • May or may not have murdered someone
Second Oldest Brother Darius Holmwood (31)
Training to be an Auror. He excelled in dueling and defense against the dark arts during his tenure as a Gryffindor student. Seeing his brother attempt to change the world with his words, he sought instead to attack the core of the problem-- the evils of magic gone wrong. He is stubborn and indignant, but when gathered with the family his weltschmerz melts away.
  • Told Flash 'when things go wrong, no one notices until it's too late', encouraging him to always keep his eye out for trouble
  • Has a notoriously tempestuous love life and is still single
  • Would scare Flash with stories about dark magical creatures while he was growing up
  • Is always at odds with Valerius on his methods, even though their ideals align
  • Had a tendency to roughhouse with his brothers, regardless of their comfort
  • Owns a prized hunting horse named Asha, an Irish Draught. Dotes over him incessantly
  • Partakes in illegal fox hunting on the secluded Holmwood estate during the summer
Image

=====================================
Image

=====================================
Oldest Sister Marius Holmwood Cargrove (26)
Working under her father to become a bloodstock agent and take over the family's stables. A squib. She is more alike her father than any of her brothers, growing to be quiet and contemplative. She spends most of her time working tirelessly to continue the family fortune.
  • Patiently taught Flash manners and decorum, as well as good hygiene
  • Has impeccable control of her emotions, never letting her family see her cry
  • Her husband, Philip Carson, owns significant shares in Holmwood & Carson Bloodstock Ltd., and one day she will inherit her father's majority shares of the company
  • Taught Flash how to make perfume
  • Is said to have been a very different person before she realized she was a squib
  • Is the de facto head of the family, being 'always right'
Youngest Brother Fabius Holmwood (10)
Still a young child, he has shown a penchant for maths and computers. Now that Flash has gone to Hogwarts, the house once again has only one child on which to dote upon, so he will likely have much to look forward to. Currently he's quite arrogant, but he's a toddler so what can you say.
  • Cries a lot
  • Is mostly taken care of by a nanny
  • Flash holds resentment for Fabius' birth, having felt like the family was already too large

=====================================
Owls: The Holmwoods have two family owls, Zoro and Aster. The are spectacled owls, both female. They have been thoroughly trained and are professional and efficient in their deliveries.

Driver: Pilar is the family driver, though she is merely a preferred freelancer. Most Holmwoods prefer to drive themselves, but they trust her punctuality and professionalism. She doesn't talk much.

Retainer: Flash's retainer is Luis Castillo, whose job it is to get Flash whatever he wants within reason. He answers to the Maris, but technically works for Flash. He is who Flash corresponds with during school if he needs something, and the two have a positive, friendly relationship.

Past Roleplay
These are all finished (or mostly finished) threads listed chronologically to the best of my knowledge. It will be noted in brackets if an RP takes place somewhere not accessible to everyone.

Year One
October 2019
Reducio
10/13 Quiet Questions (with Sylvain Indarys) - Flash meets a Ravenclaw who is similarly reading in the library rather than attending the Masquerade Ball. He's thankful when the bookworm keeps to himself so he can read in peace.
December 2019
Reducio
12/24 Quiet Questions (with Sylvain Indarys) - Flash is not surprised to come across Sylvain Indarys again, as he becomes a preferred library companion for his silence. Neither of them seem to be attending any social events nor going home for Christmas. This time however, their silence is broken when Sylvain reads Flash's mystery novel over his shoulder. The two start discussing the ending, feeling close despite the fact that they didn't even technically every introduce themselves.
February 2020
Reducio
2/2 Attracting the Wrong Attention (with Alan Vanes) - Flash is collecting wildflowers near the Forbidden Forest and accidentally attracts the vampyric mosps dwelling within. Luckily, Alan Vanes was there to give him useful magical creature knowledge just in time. Unfortunately, Flash's last second attempt at heroism got him stung anyway, leaving him to heal in quiet as he asked Alan not to tell the professors.
2/6 Just Between You and Me (with Jack Burnett) - Flash had avoided social gatherings at the start of the year, but kept hearing rumors about the Valentine’s Day party. Rumor around the school was that Jack Burnett would tell him what happened, for a price. Calling him somewhere private, Flash finds out that gathering information wasn’t going to be as easy as he thought. Burnett challenged his methods and called him out for playing games. He got his information, but the cost was his real name, and a dash of righteous humiliation.
2/7 Divertimento (solo) - Flash goes on a walk around the grounds, being around nature calms him down. He thinks about the shadow of his family looming over him, and feels the weight of having to build a reputation from scratch.
2/7 May I Pick Your Mind? (with Opeila Seilun and Katrina Walker) - Flash is in a good mood and seeks out company. Opeila Seilun and Katrina Walker indulge his fanciful musings on the topics of enchantments and boys.
2/8 Accompaniment (Errand) - Flash takes flowers to the library to freshen up one of his favorite haunts. He is glad to be joined by the lovely Lark Flaer and the playful Opeila Seilun.
2/9 Lost Necklace (with Shae Winters) - Flash helps a distressed peer find her necklace using his superior seeking skills (it was in her bag the whole time). The conversation ends on a sour note when her musings on her loving family give Flash reason to feel jealous.
2/10 You Saw Nothing (with Ruka Tân) - Flash catches a crazed-looking Gryffindor at the door to the Slytherin common room. Sensing an opportunity for blackmail, he tries to convince him to give him as much information as possible for ‘saving’ him. Little did he know, Ruka Tân was not so easily puppeted along, and the best Flash could do was convince him to meet him again in the morning-- in more favorable conditions.
2/11 Darkness to Light (with Ruka Tân) - Flash invited Ruka Tân to one of his morning jogs, hoping to extract any and all information about whatever drama is going on between him and Burnett. When he finds he is still unable to coerce anything out of him, the script flips, and Ruka starts to extract information from Flash instead. Caught completely off guard, Flash became briefly vulnerable before running off to cry where no one could see it.
2/12 From Red Sneakers to Rusty Pennies (with Nico Shymane and Alan Vanes) - Flash spent most of his early year eavesdropping on other students and gathering information. When he sees someone he knows talking to a Slytherin prefect, he listens in, only to be disappointed by their dull, saccharine conversation. Flash is almost caught when another first year called him out, but through quick-talking and keen observation, Flash erases any doubt that he was doing anything unseemly.
2/13 Hosts of the Air (with Rafael D'Spacito) - Flash goes to the top of the owlery to sing in peace, away from any prying ears. Instead, he’s discovered by Rafael D’Spacito, who instead of deriding him, inundated him with praise. Feeling generous, Flash returned the favor by warming up Rafael’s hands, feeling responsible for making him stand out in the cold. Happy in each other’s company, the two continue to talk once they go back to the castle.
2/15 Drifting Eyes (with Ariana Walker) - Flash follows a suspicious Gryffindor walking to the Great Lake, assuming she plans on breaking a rule. When his footsteps are detected, Ariana Walker instead falls into the water, and Flash jumps in to save her from drowning. Afterwards, Flash carried the soaked lion back to the castle on his back, learning a few of her insecurities along the way.
2/16 Songs and Perfume (with Willow Anderson) - Flash practicing his bird call imitation, to the delight of Willow Anderson, a deft herbology student. They quickly connect over their love of nature, and find it extremely easy to talk to one another. Did someone say… siblings?
2/17 Legacy (with Opeila Seilun and Jack Burnett) - Flash has trouble studying in the presence of an unopened birthday letter from his family. Opeila joins him out of concern, and once she learns it is his birthday, begins to invite him to celebrate with her. Having overheard however, Burnett drops by to provoke the two. Instead of engaging, Flash decides to leave, only for Burnett to give chase and offer a mysterious birthday wish. Unable to resist the pull of his curiosity, Flash follows.
2/17 Birthdays Should Be Special (with Jack Burnett) [Room of Requirement] - Burnett takes Flash to the Room of Requirement, giving him the instructions to open it. Flash wishes for ‘a room where he can be himself’, and finds a greenhouse and study inside. Impressed, he admits he was wrong to think that Burnett was just leading him into a trap, and thanks him.
2/19 A Walk to Remember (with Willow Anderson) - Flash invites Willow to join him for morning walks every once in a while, and she makes them both tea and they talk. On this walk, they discover a familiar was accidentally locked into one of the greenhouses, and Willow insists that they go in and rescue… the plants. Flash complies, assuming the task will be quick and easy, but given that Willow insists on re-potting the fallen plants, and the familiar becomes a bit too familiar with Flash, it instead ends with both of them seriously injured. Each one tells the other to run off before they get in trouble, but neither of them budges. Fixing their mess with magic and teamwork, they solidified their already strong bond by getting away with the benevolent crime, and not leaving each other behind.
2/24 Challenge (with Jack Warren) - Flash is attracted to the familiar sound of someone kicking a football and asks the lone athlete for an impromptu game. Promising he wouldn't hold back, Jack Warren body checks Flash to gain an advantage, only for Flash to analyse his play style and use his own tactics against him, winning the match with a little hoist of Jack’s petard.
2/22 Search for a Cure (with Illowy Magnard and others) - (This is the date mentioned in the RP, but takes place after ‘Something Dire in the Dark’, which I put as happening on 3/2 for my timeline) Flash overhears some other Slytherins looking for more information about the black blood curse. Wanting to be helpful, he shares some books he got from the Room of Requirement, but refuses to reveal his knowledge of the magic room.
2/25 Toeing the Line (with Freya Thomas) - Flash catches a Ravenclaw sneaking into the restricted section and tries to hang the blackmail over her head. Instead, he makes her cry, and lets it go.
2/28 Igniting A Forbidden Flame (with Persephone Barret) - Flash sticks around in class long enough to catch Persephone Barret lighting a fellow student’s homework on fire. Seeing the opportunity to forge an alliance, Flash diffuses the situation in a way that gets Persephone out of any consequences for her actions. Persephone is rightly suspicious, but Flash states his intention plainly. By this point, he had learned that being coy didn’t play well, and instead found success in plain honesty.
2/29 Hurried Mistakes (with Ross Stephens) - Feeling the pressure he put on himself building, Flash’s patience wears thin when confronted by a bumbling Hufflepuff who won’t stop bugging him. When Flash starts jotting down the potion’s recipe in his notebook, he realizes he was actually holding Ross Stephen’s diary instead. Feeling the rush of power it gave him, Flash bitterly insisted he wouldn’t give the diary back unless Ross started coming to class on time and getting O’s on all his Potions homework.
2/29 Looking Forward and Up (with Willow Anderson) - Willow invites Flash to an evening fire picnic, where she learns that Flash doesn’t know how to cook because he grew up having all his meals cooked for him. Willow is the first person he tells about his exuberant wealth, having up to that point not opened up to anyone about anything in his life. Willow is unperturbed, telling Flash about her beloved Grandmother’s passing, and inviting him to visit her over the summer.

3/1 Compliments and Motivation (Errand) - Flash joins Opeila and others in writing notes to the women in their lives who they respect. Flash proves to not be very artistically creative, and instead writes in flowery language, insisting on making his notes anonymous.
3/2 Something Dire in the Dark (Main Story) [Slytherin Commons] - Several Slytherins were awoken in the middle of the night when Victor Moore and Marion Davenport heard a noise coming from outside the common room. 3/4 Quiet Questions (with Sylvain Indarys) - Flash paces around the halls after talking to Opeila, only to receive an owl from Sylvain both calling him the ‘wrong name’ and telling him to return his library books. Incensed, Flash storms into the library to tell him off, only to realize Sylvain meant no harm, and he was overreacting due to stress.
3/5 Clemency (with Ross Stephens) - Flash is stuck in a conversation he doesn’t want to have, only to be rescued by Ross. Once the two are alone, Flash assures him that no amount of good deeds would get him his diary back sooner, while Ross starts thinking of how to protect people from Flash’s reign of terror.
3/6 From the Lookout (with Alan Vanes) - Flash catches up with Alan, only to overhear a conversation he thinks will contain information he wants. Flash starts to tail a bully and victim with Alan alongside, while Alan helps him by showing him a secret passageway in the castle. Unable to simply eavesdrop around the Gryffindor who wanted direct action, Flash scared off the bully by insinuating he was an authority.
3/6 Collision Course (with Reid Kovacs) - (Technically unfinished, but I’m including it since the events are referenced in a few other threads.) As the stress and pressure mounts, Flash snaps at a buff older student wielding a bat, who just so happened to also be in a bad mood. The two exchange insults only for Flash to regain his senses and back off.
3/11 The Final Fall (with Willow Anderson) - Unbeknownst to Flash, Willow had conversations with both Ruka and Ross, who were shocked that she considered Flash her friend. Feeling like she was being lied to, she approached him to demand an answer for how he treated the two of them. 3/12 A Spectacle [Hufflepuff vs. Ravenclaw] (Quidditch spectating with Alan Vanes) - Flash invites Alan to watch the final Quidditch match of the year, where Willow had only just become the new Keeper for the Hufflepuff Quidditch team. Even though Flash accepted her split from him, he forlornly cheers her on, practically ignoring Alan to do so.
3/12 Happy Birthday! (Opeila's birthday party) - Flash reluctantly attends Opeila’s birthday party, feeling responsible for her good time as well as not wanting to fulfill her fear of being abandoned. Knowing Willow will be there, Flash has a short panic attack alone before entering, only to be witnessed by Burnett. He makes no snide remarks, and instead causes mischief at the party with Ruka, ending with Willow leaving to the same room to have a panic attack of her own. In that case, however, Burnett and Ruka are there to help her calm down.
3/13 Disempowered (with Ross Stephens) - After losing Willow, the pressure that had been wearing Flash thin broke upon him, making him barely recognizable from the powerful face he had tried to put on. Confused, Ross asked after him only to find out his brotherly love for Willow had not been a farce. In showing genuine remorse, Ross decided to try to set things right with Willow and help Flash get her friendship back.
3/15 Pondering Everything (with Opeila Seilun) - Flash meets Opeila during their free time, cuddling up at the base of her favorite tree while she opened up about her family and her past. She asked Flash about himself, but he spared very little information.

3/17 Arms Unfolding (with Willow Anderson)Flash meets up with Willow, promising her that he never meant her harm, and professing to want to take care of her. She opens up to him about her experiences with intense bullying growing up, and the two of them embrace, hoping to figure out how to be friends.
3/19 A Universal Weakness (with Persephone Barret)Flash begins apologizing to his previous victims, hoping to clean his slate and form a reputation based on love instead of power. One student isn’t too happy about his sudden change of heart, and hounds him to get a reaction. Instead, Persephone comes to his ‘rescue’ by scaring the student away with violence. Thankful, Flash uses the opportunity to try to get to know the elusive girl better. She insists on equivalent exchange of information, and is able to pry out personal details about Flash that he hadn’t shared with anyone, like where the name ‘Flash’ came from. From her, Flash learned she has some kind of distaste of her father.
3/20 First Step to Healing (with Willow Anderson) - With tension still high, Flash follows up on his offer to help heal Willow’s scars. To distract from the pain they represented, Flash spun a story about a warrior whose scars were all magically healed by the power of love.
3/20 The Stars We Follow (with Adlai Rod) - Flash works on an Astronomy project with the student sitting next to him. She had heard bad rumors about him, but decides to give him the benefit of the doubt. 3/21 Hogwarts' Got Talent: Showtime! (Performance with Rafael D'Spacito) - Rafael plays piano as Flash sings a quiet and somber song in front of a crowd of his peers.
3/21 Hogwarts' Got Talent (Backstage with Rafael D'Spacito and Jack Burnett) - Burnett signed up Flash, Rafael, and a few others for a student run talent show, much to their chagrin. They end up finding the Chamber of Secrets, sharing their combined knowledge to discover that Adlai is a parselmouth. Besides finding a clue that Hanako was a parselmouth as well, the worried group found that the place had been completely abandoned, and currently posed no threat.
3/26 Cocoon (with Alan Vanes) - Flash spends time with Alan, helping him sort through herbs. They talk about their lives, revealing thoughts and feelings, but both of them are still hiding in their comfort zone.
3/27 Clear Language (with Willow Anderson and Ross Stephens) - Flash tries to get Willow and Ross to make amends, since Willow felt like her break apart from Flash had been Ross’ fault. When communication breaks down, Flash realizes he doesn’t have the power to force people together with words alone.
3/27 Obscure (with Euphaustus Boppity) - Flash, desperate for leads to learn more about the spider attack, follows a childish rumor that a ritual at midnight will summon the ghost of an evil wizard. He’s surprised to be joined by a supernatural enthusiast, who helps him set the summoning up. Their their chagrin, the summoning ‘works’, in that Meenauh Silmataurea and Nico Shymane use the opportunity to teach them a lesson they won't soon forget…. And give them detention.
3/28 Like A Mirror (Detention with Euphaustus Boppity) - Flash and Euphaustus are tasked with cleaning the entire ballroom floor-- the muggle way. Flash does the job without complaint, though the lesson he learned might not have been the one the prefects wanted.

After slowly wading through layers of politeness, he finally hears her feelings, which match his own admiration.
3/31 Second Step to Healing (with Willow Anderson and Ross Stephens) - Flash tries to heal the disconnect between Willow and Ross again, but this time he plays on Ross’ curiosity and Willow’s seriousness about her muggle magic to get them to be more receptive to each other. It works, and the three get to enjoy a muggle magic ritual for friendship, discovering much about themselves.

4/2 Missing Person (with George Henry) - Flash is studying before Willow and Alan’s birthday, only to be interrupted by a nosey reporter. George Henry not only knows Flash’s real name, but he wanted to ask his opinion on his brother Valerius for an article he was writing about successful Hogwarts alumni. Upset at being confronted about things he usually kept completely hidden, Flash instead settles on telling George what he wants to know only if it’s off the record.
4/2 Birthday for Two (Alan and Willow's Birthday Party) - Flash brings the cake to the outdoors pajama party, as well as thoughtful gifts for his two friends. While initially glad to be there, Flash’s enthusiasm drops dramatically when he realizes he doesn’t actually belong amongst his peers. Terrorized by his own thoughts of isolation, he flees the party to find a place to cry where he couldn’t be judged.
4/2 Appogiatura (with Ruka Tân) - We don’t talk about this.
4/2 Caesura (solo) [Slytherin Boy's Dorm] - After excusing himself from the party very early, Flash exhaustedly retreats to his dorm, lamenting his wretched life and hiding beneath his covers in shame and horror.
4/3 Mandrakes for Medicine (Errand) - Flash silently helps harvest mandrakes to help with the muggle pandemic, glad to have an excuse to put on earmuffs and tune out the rest of the world after the unhappily eventful day before.
4/5 The Dorm Battles [Slytherin Common Room] - Opeila tries to liven everyone’s spirits by putting on a sanctioned pillow fight in the common room, letting each of the dorms battle for supremacy. At first, Flash attends to make sure no one ruins Opeila’s act of goodwill, but everyone seems to play along and have fun. His team, the Severus Snape dorm, were swiftly eliminated, earning the reputation of weakest dorm. Flash didn’t mind, and delighted in the lighthearted diversion.
4/10 Unearthed Books (with Rosalyn Adler) - Flash is approached when reading a book in the library that is not a library book. Flash lends the book to the bookworm, but continues to refuse to reveal the source of his stock. While he enjoys talking to someone who doesn’t know him, his feelings of alienation only grow.
4/12 I... Might Have Done Something (with Opeila Seilun)[Slytherin Common Room] - Flash comes across a worried Opeila at night, and asks her to confide in him. She tells him that she and a few other students were planning a secret Blossom Ball after the real one was cancelled due to the recent dangers around the school. Not only that, but she was asked to the ball by Vladimir Athanatos, a suspicious Ravenclaw that she let into the common room just before the spider attacks happened. Asked to the ball before it had a chance to be announced. Flash gently chastised her, but promises to do everything in his power to keep her safe.
4/14 Invitation (Letters with Rafael D'Spatico) - Rafael’s letter to Flash asking him to the ball, followed by Flash’s regretful refusal.
4/14 Lamentation (solo) - Once word got out in the student populace that the ball was happening, Flash was Quickly invited by his recent acquaintance Evenlynn Decipito and accepted. Not long after, he received a second invitation from Rafael D’Spacito. Already confused and worried by recent events, Flash’s heart aches at the thought of having to turn him down. Both flattered and heartbroken, Flash eventually manages to write the response that crushes his own burgeoning feelings for the Gryffindor.
4/15 While Everything Burns (with Alina Rosier) - Between classes, Flash searches for the girl in a portrait with an undercover Hufflepuff. While initially the interaction brings some levity to his tragic month, his dower disposition creates a chasm that drives her away.
4/16 Elephant's Toothpaste (with Cypresse Lian and students) - Flash attends an optional science experiment held by Professor Lian, getting to know a few more like minded intellectual students and spending time with his favorite teacher.
4/16 The Way I Behaved (with Jack Burnett) - As everyone prepares for the ball, Flash is confronted on his morning jog when Burnett waits for him outside. At first highly suspicious, Flash is surprised when instead of his usual antagonizing, Burnett begins to admonish Flash for giving away too much of himself, and how it made him sick to watch. Coming to something of an understanding, the two embraced, promising to exchange favors and arguing about why they behave the way they do.
4/18 Let's Talk War, Partners! (with Slytherin round table) [Slytherin Common Room] - To Flash’s dismay, Opeila brought together a ragtag group of Slytherins to exchange information and discuss a plan of action for interrogating Vladimir about his involvement in the spider attacks. Though not entirely productive, they do manage to learn quite a lot.
4/25 Deadly Premonition (with Evelynn Decipio) - Not trusting the Partners to get things done, Flash greets Evelynn outside the ball to inform her of their plan and to catch her up with what he knows in hopes that she will help him in his efforts. Also expecting the worst, Evelynn reveals that she had been gathering information herself, and the two agree to work together from that point on.
4/25 Secret Blossom Ball (Attending with Evelynn Decipio) - (The final post as a link to every ball post I wrote if for some reason you wanted to read them) The partners try to find out information on Vladimir, Victor, and Marion, but things go wrong quickly. Flash is pulled away from Evelynn when being asked to dance by Ruka, who helps him get closer to Vladimir and Opeila as they are dancing and talking. Before they could find out anything useful, Rafael attacked Vladimir and vampyric mosps attacked the ball. When Willow found herself being surrounded and in the dark, Flash abandoned the mission immediately to be by her side and protect her from both the mosps and Vladimir, who had started attacking her for trying to take his bag. By the end, both Willow and Flash were stung, but conscious, and Flash carried her out to safety after the professors arrived to save the day.
4/25 My Light in the Darkest Night (with Willow Anderson) - After things settled down, Willow asks Flash if he could hold her during their stay in the hospital wing over night. To distract her from her worries and fears, he tells her another story. This one was about an orphaned girl who was saved by a benevolent forest spirit, only to learn that it too was saved by her.

5/1 Rain Check (Errand with Sylvain Indarys) - Flash invites Sylvain to an origami making errand to apologize for not telling him that he wouldn't be appearing as usual during a social event, since he had gone to the Blossom Ball. Syl doesn't seem to resent him, but the two realize they still have much they don't know about each other.
5/3 Embroidery 101 (Errand) - Frustrated and confused, Flash has no idea how to handle how turbulent his emotions have become. Everything he thought he knew seems wrong, but so does everything he's learning. He doesn't know what to think at all. Lifelessly attending errands in an attempt to earn more points and make Opeila happy, he angrily embroiders a meaningless pattern.
5/8 Sticks and Stones can Break your Bones... (with Miranda Everest) - Flash overhears an argument, where he sees Miranda Everest derided for being a werewolf, as she runs off to cry-- much like he had done himself in the past. He goes to console her, and talks her through the unhappy moment by talking about her lycanthropy and life with earnest curiosity.
5/9 Committing a Crime (with Opeila Seilun and others) [Slytherin Head of House's Office] - In another act of rallying Slytherins together and lightening the somber mood ever since the spider attacks, Opeila suggests that everyone get together and leave Mother's Day present for Madame Jensen. Flash leaves cat treats and accessories for Jensen's cat, but does so anonymously. They all try to get in and get out, but only Flash and Dmitri Jones get out before the rest are discovered.
5/15 Time Spent (with Ruka Tân) - Flash and Burnett catch each other at the bulletin board and have the idea of using the announced relay race to knit the bond that was pulling Flash, Burnett, and Ruka apart. Flash intercepts Ruka after class to tell him, as well as simply trying to talk a bit alone beforehand. Perhaps because of their history, or their mutual inability to see each other's point of view, the interaction instead leaves Ruka more suspicious and Flash more depressed.
5/18 Call It Dreaming (with Jack Burnett) [Room of Requirement] - After Burnett and Flash get closer, Flash finally admits the great amount of trouble he has sleeping in the Slytherin house, and that being in the dungeons suffocates him.
5/27 Help Yourself (with Willow Anderson and Lydia Cooper) - Flash and Willow had been planning on forming a support group with Lydia Cooper that was supposed to start in May, but they decided they needed to talk before then if they wanted to work successfully as a team. Not to mention help other people with their problems... they needed to sort out a few of their own first.
5/27 More Bad News (with Asteria Knight) - (Unfinished, but nearly done) Flash is caught by an observant Ravenclaw on his way to break curfew to go sleep in the Room of Requirement. She insists she tell him how to make the room as he desperately tries to get her to back off to little success.
5/31 Slytherin Victory Celebration (House cup party) [Slytherin Common Room] - Flash attends another one of Opeila's ill conceived mood-lifting parties, though he quietly sits away from the crowd. The Slytherins are celebrating setting a new record for house points, in not little part due to Opeila's motivation of others and Nico Shymane's hard work, but Flash feels very little accomplishment despite being a part of why they won. Because of Burnett, he is starting to question whether his relationship with Opeila is healthy, but more than his own feelings, wants Opeila to be happy. The party is interrupted by Professor Vernatis and Madame Jensen, but because of Burnett grabbing his hand in the confusion of a smokescreen, they escaped together to the Room of Requirement instead of getting in trouble.

6/2 Relaying Relations (with Jack Burnett and Ruka Tân - Flash and Burnett meet at the relay, only to be joined by Ruka dressed in his ratty old clothes that he wore before Burnett and his family got him newer, better fitting clothes. Insistent on protecting Burnett from Flash, the three complete the relay without issue, only for Ruka to storm off when his attempt only brought further ire and distance. The three tried to have an honest conversation to sort out the pain and confusion, but struggled the whole way. It didn't end all that well, but in the very least they had finally communicated a lot that had been bottled up.
6/4 Time Marches On (with Falentra Black) - The stress of his complicated year builds and builds to finals week in the castle, where Flash is left burnt out and wandering the halls like a ghost. He comes across Falentra Black, who in showing even the slightest amount of concern for him triggered a bout of blubbering tears. Kindly, she let him cry on her shoulder, even handing him some candies in an attempt to cheer him up. Though embarrassed, Flash deeply appreciated her kindness in his weakest moment, and he did feel better.
6/5 The Blackbird's Black Tea (Errand with Bridget Collins) - Flash invites Bridget Collins to have tea with him during an errand, in hopes of earning her favor. He was impressed by her focus and dependability during the Blossom Ball, and in his own robotic way gets to know a bit about her and call her his ally.
6/13 Folded Feelings (with Ruka Tân) - Ruka invites Flash to the Great Hall after he had time to stew over what was said at the relay race. Even though it is still always a struggle to converse, they take turns asking each other questions about one another, in hopes it will change their assumptions and open better communication. It goes better than literally any other interaction they've ever had, but things are still somewhat tense.
6/15 Dear Flash | Sincerely, Evelynn - Evelynn writes Flash a note speaking of her regret for how the Blossom Ball went, fearing Flash would be ashamed of her actions. Flash states otherwise, saying he holds no single person accountable for things going badly. Instead, he shows enthusiasm for continuing their partnership and trying to consolidate information to try to figure out the mysteries behind what is going on in Hogwarts.
6/17 Dear Flash | Sincerely, Evelynn - The two continue to talk, finding a great deal of solidarity in their conviction to uncover the truth. They make plans and discuss what all they know between themselves.
6/19 Locking the Doors (Main Story with Adonis Thorn and Jack Burnett) - The professors both admit that the headmaster is gone, and that hags live in the Forbidden Forest in an official announcement that include a new, stricter set of rules. 6/19 Dear Flash | Sincerely, Evelynn - In the wake of the dinner announcement, Flash sends Evelynn a message in a cipher they created asking her to meet him in the Room of Requirement before the end of the year.
6/21 A Dangerous Discovery (with Opeila Seilun) - Opeila takes Flash up on his birthday gift to her: a date with just the two of them spending time together. Instead of getting him to take her out somewhere, she only wants to walk and talk. Once again she starts to explain all the trouble she has gotten herself into, namely letting herself become a test subject of Selim Faust in hopes that it will help find a cure. Once again Flash can do nothing to stop Opeila besides be there to hold her when she needs him. Flash looks everywhere for Selim, but can't find him before school ends for the year.
6/23 Consonance (with Evelynn Decipio) [Room of Requirement] - Flash and Evelynn meet in the Room of Requirement to hand off everything they know to each other, promising to keep in contact over summer.

6/30 A Sky Full of Stars (with Margo White, Katrina Walker, and Ami Procoppio) - Flash spots a few girls he met during Professor Lian's science experiment. They look up at the stars, drink some hot cocoa, and talk about this and that, worried about what the future might bring.

7/1 Sail to the Moon (Summer Tent with Claudia Gears) - Flash intends to spend his short time at the summer camp reading in a tent by himself. Hounded by his insecurities and fears, he accidentally spills tea all over his books and asks the nearest person for help. When she shows interest in his collection, he asks her to stay, finding he vastly prefers company over being alone.
7/15 Paranoid Android (with Erin Ryan) - Having promised Evelynn he would ask Erin Ryan about her run-in with the hags, he finally spots her in the camp after his own morning jog. She talked to him openly, answering the questions that he asked, but her words were dire and frightening. She wasn't entirely honest, but Flash planned to take her for her word so long as he had nothing to refute it.
7/16 The Watchers (Spectating Quidditch Final with Sylvain, Aida, Calanthe, and Bridget) - At the Quidditch game, Flash joins Sylvain as planned. They are joined by some of the friends that Syl had made since meeting Flash, showing they had both grown a lot since they met at the start of the year. They are also joined by Bridget, as Flash feels the connections he made were enduring despite his many foibles. Also, he quite enjoyed watching the game, becoming even more interested in Quidditch.
7/18 What is the First Rule... (Main Story with Slytherin) - Slytherins awake to a strange invitation to a strange tent. A mangled Victor Moore introduces them to a fighting ring where they will be unable to use magic, and need to defeat each other to win their freedom. While Flash tries to explain a method where everyone wins, it falls on deaf ears. Instead, Flash decides that the only logical action was to win quickly, with as little bloodshed as possible.
7/18 Team Five & Six (First Round of Slytherin Fight Club) - Flash tries to get the opposing team to surrender without a fight. Alexander Varellion hears him out, seeming to relent and lose, before being taunted by Flash's teammate Thomas Lestrange. Alex kicks Flash, triggering his teammate Søren Silverwood to defend him. Alex's team does not come to his aid, and in the end Flash punches him out to move on to the next round.

Name: Mylk
Species: Butterblossom Bat
Eggday: 7/8/22
Date Hatched: 7/22/22
Personality: Despite their small size, Butterblossom Bats are known to be little firecrackers. These pint-sized packages of dynamite are highly mischievous, and are often confused for imps. They are lethargic during the hottest parts of the day, and can be found sleeping in flowers during that time. Like their ordinary bat brethren, nighttime is when they are most active. Butterblossom bats are notorious for being gluttons and will often gorge themselves on honey and soft fruits until they pass out. Oftentimes they can be found in clusters beneath fruit bearing plants. Overall, they make for charming, and exciting pets. It's never a boring day (or night) with a Butterblossom around.
Likes: Warm days, honey, and fresh fruits.
Dislikes: Cold weather, thunderstorms, and worms.
Special: Butterblossom bats share a symbiotic relationship with most small critters that share their home in flowers. This particular bat is best friends with the creature from the Spring Vines egg.

Name: Beepy
Species: Miniature Firefly Kraken
Eggday: 7/23/22
Date Hatched: 8/3/22
Personality: In the deepest, darkest parts of the ocean thrives a wide variety of peculiar sea life. The Twilight Zone and beyond is home to some of the most cryptic of creatures. Firefly Krakens, like their smaller squid brethren, reside in this zone. Unlike their squid cousins, they are not small- in size nor personality. Krakens are haughty homebodies that will not hesitate to defend their space should the situation call for it. Though they are often docile, and would rather swim away from conflict than instigate, they can have a very short fuse. So watch out! Mild hostility aside, they only fight if there is good reason to. Most of the time when they do throw tentacles, it's because they're trying to protect something. Firefly Krakens make wonderful companions for bright and stubborn individuals, who also enjoy familiar comforts.
Likes: Cool waters, colorful fish, and lost treasure.
Dislikes: Bright lights, submarines, and clams.
Special: Firefly Krakens stick to what they know and are comfortable with. This means many of their connections are with creatures living in, or near the same zone they reside in. They are open to meeting with surface creatures, but they really do prefer the depths of the ocean. This Firefly Kraken is best friends with the creature from the Midnight Zone egg.
