History/Background Story: Ben MacAllister was born on the 17th of May 2008 to Walter and Susan MacAllister, a well-off couple living in Dublin at the time. His father manages insurance while his mother runs a restaurant. His family moved to Mullingar when he was 6. Ben is an only child, and is severely spoiled by his parents as a result. Ben, however, doesn't let this affect him much, and treats those with less than him with respect. His childhood was great: he spent many holidays traveling around Europe, and he spent plenty of time with his parents.
Ben's magical abilities first surfaced when he was a student at a Catholic primary school. While doing coursework in his room, he would accidentally set his pencils on fire, and his papers would fly across the room. Ben was so frightened he stopped doing coursework, and his grades plummeted as a result.
Ben is eager to learn about everything Hogwarts has to offer: regardless of how dangerous it is.
