Heather is, at the surface, a friendly child, whose curiosity and adventurous personality always get her into trouble. Alessandro couldn’t understand how the piece of jewelry got in the hands of a muggle-born woman! So he got closer to her, hoping to find out more about Carmen. But, it seemed like Edina received the necklace as a gift from one of her fans after a show, so she didn't know much. While the woman seemed to be a dead-end in his search, Alessandro decided to keep being with Edina... Because, while he spent time with her, he actually fell in love. After all that time, it seemed like his sister found her way in his life once more, bringing the woman who would become his wife right in front of his eyes. Though, his family wasn't too happy about Alessandro's decision. When the Piera and Elio, who wanted to marry him with a daughter of an influent family found out that not even their son was willing to save their reputation, they decided to cut him off completely. Birth and toddler years Reducio On the twenty-eighth of November, Edina had given birth to a rambunctious child, whose cries could be heard from the sea. The first thing Heather ever felt wasn't the motherly love- no, it was the faint touch of the sun, kissing her forehead. She does not clearly remember those times, but she has faint memories of the small room where she and her older sister, Valentina, and later her other two siblings, would sit on the window, watching boats coming and going off the port. In the evenings, when her parents would come back home, they would all go outside to the beach, where their father would tell them stories of brave heroes who fought against horrific creatures. Heather loved her life, she loved the feeling of being truly and utterly happy and she never thought that this state could come crashing down at such a young age. On a fateful night, though, her Alessandro left his house, maneuvered by a burning vision. It could have been a ghost or one of the sea creatures? Either way, he left and never came back. Everyone thought it was just one of his eccentric adventures- he wasn't the sanest man, but his wife knew better. No matter what everyone said, she didn't listen to people's gossip and taught her daughters not to believe either. She knew the world was ignorant, and she knew Alex's secret- but never told her children about it. The blonde child tried to glue back her family, but it was all to no avail; This is why she started finding solace in music- and in ballet. The birth of a wailing sunshine Reducio Perhaps the day when Heather was the closest to letting her façade go was when, coming back from her usual ballet classes, she did not see Charlotte and Ortensia in front of the house; Normally, they would have been there, waiting for her or playing with other kids. Scared, she went inside with the intention of questioning her mother and Valentina, but they were gone, too. Thus, the young girl, still dressed in her tutu and leotard, ran outside, searching for her sisters. When the sky was beginning to darken, Heather finally found her siblings crying next to the port. When they saw her, instead of being relieved, Sia and Lottie only seemed to get angrier and started screaming, calling her names! They said they knew, from the other children, that she was a liar; they finally found out their father was just a freak, a man driven mad by his illusions! Frowning, Heather wanted initially to calm them down, but when they started badmouthing the only thing that kept her sane all those years, and thus tainting the memory of her dear father, the young girl started shouting too. As words were thrown back and forth, her sisters ran away back home, but not before pushing Heather into the water. Shocked, Heather let herself float for a while, hurt by everything. Not only she lost the only true family she had, but they also disowned their father! Her small shoulders couldn't bear this burden- Heather tried so hard to make things right, to keep her father's memory sacred and the whole family together, yet it all came crashing down hard, like the waves hitting the rocks. There, with her costume floating in the water, Heather cried for the first time. No one saw her, and she swore to forget that moment. Since then, she was alone, and alone would she fight her battles.

Moving to Edinburgh Reducio During a certain day, Heather's life as she knew it changed again. She was sitting in her room, busying herself while her sisters were outside, playing. Suddenly, her mother entered the room, as if she was in a hurry. She'd told her second oldest daughter that Valentina was eleven years old, and she had to leave for school. (Heather did not understand what this meant. Wasn't she already enrolled at the local school?) Either way, Edina had to take her daughter to the... Pyrenees mountains? At 'Beauxbatons Academy'? What in the world was that? And most importantly, why only her sister was going there? Heather's questions, were left unanswered as usual, but something else, for more important for her, happened: for the first time in years, Edina looked at her. She stared at her daughter, finally understanding how hard it must have been for her all those years when she was being the mother her younger sisters needed, while Edina herself neglected everyone else, besides Tina. It was truly a heartfelt moment, but then the widow remembered what she had to tell Heather in the first place: her second-oldest daughter, along with Lottie and Sia, had to move to Scotland, to live with their aunt. Heather was shocked. Move? But why? As if on cue, she thought about how her mother was just an outsider in the Italian world. She was Scottish, and her heart belonged to her green lands and to the rocky castles, no matter how much she loved the warm Island. Now, that Alessandro was gone, Italy only brought her pain. Thus, Heather didn't object when she and her sisters were sent to Bonnie, their aunt, in Scotland, and waited patiently for their mother to return. If moving away from the only world she knew meant that she would get her family back, Heather was willing to do the sacrifice.

Living in Scotland and the first magical accident Reducio Living in Scotland was strange- Heather missed the seaside, the local fishermen smiling at her, the rays of sun caressing her every day. Here, it rained almost all the time, people were gloomy, consumed by their mundane thoughts, and the sky seemed to have lost its cheerfulness, being painted only in shades of gray and blue. Bonnie, her aunt, wished her nieces would accommodate easily, despite their homesickness. Thus, for Charlotte and Ortensia she found a local kindergarten, where they could interact with kids their ages. As for Heather, she was enrolled at the Ballet School, where she finally felt at peace. She was taught ice skating too, and not few were the evenings when she would go to the ice ring with her friend, Cora. Yes, now she had a friend, and although she didn't understand why the shorter girl enjoyed spending time with her- she was prone to hurting the ones she loved, she appreciated and cherished her nonetheless. Like every beautiful thing in her life though, one day Cora told Heather she had to leave. She didn't give many details, but her family was moving far, far away. As a reminder of her, she gave Heather a painting set, telling her to create something new whenever she missed her. Thus, Heather found a new passion. At first, she did it in order to follow Cora's wishes. Slowly, though, she started doing it simply to relax, and because she truly enjoyed it. Was this her gift? To express herself through any form of art? As Heather started feeling like she had a place in the world, she seemed to get better. After a while, Edina finally returned. She apologized to Heather and, muttering about what a horrible mother she was, she gave Heather a diary- Alessandro's diary. There, her father wrote not only about his stories with magicians and other creatures but also about how much he loved his family- and how blessed he felt each day he spent it with them. The young girl started reading it, but, slowly, she became overcome by emotions, abruptly interrupting her reading to sob into her mother's chest. Suddenly, the diary exploded?! Leaving only dust into the girl's palms, Heather looked up to her mother, terrified; Edina was smiling, both proudly and bitterly. "All those stories he told you, they weren't just his imagination, Heather. Your father was a wizard, and I am now sure that you are one too!" Shocked, the girl sensed strange happiness grow into her soul. So her father wasn't crazy! She wanted to go back to her aunt's house, to tell the truth to her younger sisters, to finally prove them wrong, but her mother stopped. "No, when it is the right time, they will know. But now it's our secret, my darling." Her mother kept on talking, telling her everything- from the first day she met Alessandro, about how they eloped against their families' wishes, how she had lived her best years alongside him. Then, she told her the truth about his accident. Alex was an Auror- some kind of protector, an equivalent of a policeman in the human world (which, Heather found out, that it was called 'The Muggle World'), and that night something dark appeared into the sea. Loyal to his job, Alex went and fought the creature, with the cost of his life. Heather found out that Valentina also was a witch, and Beauxbatons was a Wizarding Academy. That night, Edina had called her daughters to sleep next to her. There, surrounded by her family, free of secrets, and finally feeling loved, Heather truly smiled for the first time in years, excited about her future. As she felt a faint breeze on her forehead, she knew that her father was there too, and she promised that she would live the life he always wanted.

The Letter Reducio At the age of eleven, Heather happily received her letter. But, to her surprise, it wasn't from Beauxbatons! No, because she had been living for a couple of years already in Scotland, the girl officially entered Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry's territory, thus making her eligible to be admitted here. Instead of curiosity or happiness, when she finally understood what the strange letter meant, the girl had the urge to run to her mother and cry. Though she didn't understand why she was feeling so nostalgic, almost regretful, the girl quickly swallowed her tears, and, focusing on some happy thoughts, she resumed back to her happy persona. Diagon Alley was a wonderful place! Heather, along with her mother, was there to buy the things she needed for her first year at Hogwarts. What should have been a nice day, though, turned sour when an unknown man recognized her mother and started calling her names. And worse, he called Alex a 'Blood Traitor' for marrying a 'cheap mudblood' and for running away from his family, his blood-related family. He also called his sister- the aunt she'd never met, a 'worthless squib', and Heather had to dig her nails into her palms, in order to ignore the man. How? How could her father be labeled with such harsh names by his own kind? In a world where he was supposed to feel like home? The girl couldn't understand it, he was a loyal, honest, and caring person, who did everything for his loved ones, even dying! At that moment she wanted to jump on that man, to make him apologize for insulting her family, but something strange happened instead: the man suddenly started to float, and no matter what he or anyone else around him tried, he couldn't seem to get back to the ground! Unbeknownst to Heather, only when she finally calmed down and was dragged outside that shop by Edina, the man finally fell to the ground with a thud. And no one noticed that it was the child who lost control of her powers and jinxed the man, besides a certain aunt who saw her niece for the first time in her life...

First Year at Hogwarts Reducio Heather’s first year at Hogwarts started smoothly but gradually went downhill. While she had made some friends, her grades started going up, and the girl found a passion for charms, an owl from her aunt, Bonnie (who believed she was sending a letter to a normal Boarding School), shattered the girl’s world. Her mother was missing! She ran away from the house she had been living with her sister and youngest daughters one night, and the only thing she left behind was a necklace she had worn since her teenage years. Although Heather was busy with school, Bonnie felt the obligation to write her and to ask her what she wanted to do. With no second thoughts, the Ravenclaw left Hogwarts mid-year, going back to Edinburgh. Valentina was there too, but it seemed like the girl was suffering in silence, as she closed herself in her room all the time. Her younger sisters have been ignoring her ever since they were still living in Italy, so it was only Bonnie who interacted with Heather. After a few months, during which they tried tracking Edina's footsteps, they still didn’t seem to find her, and, based on some obscure clues, everyone assumed the worst. Having to get used to losing their only parent left, the Moretti girls prepared for a funeral. Present were only the sisters, their aunt, Lewis, their cousin, and their grandparents. From the Star she had been once, Edina came to have less than ten people at her funeral. Though, in that gloomy day, on the church doors entered no one else rather than... their own mother. Dressed all in black, Edina was more alive than ever- and she was smiling. When asked, she refused to tell anyone what happened, but it was obvious that something was changed- Edina's lethargic nature that she'd been having ever since Alex died disappeared miraculously, being replaced by a fiery determination. Edina had a new reason to continue living, but she seemed to refuse to disclose it. Even though the shock and the trauma she went through the last few months clearly took a toll on her, Heather still returned to Hogwarts at the end of May, but at that time the lessons were mostly finished. Having missed so many important classes, the girl realized that she had only one option left: to repeat her first year.

A pretty nice, but shy girl Heather met by chance one evening, by the Great Lake. Even though she felt like she could emphatize with the girl to some level, she still sees her as a mystery. In the future, she hopes they have the chance to meet again.

A beautiful girl, almost like a porcelain doll. She and Heather had a heart to heart talk one night, and since then Heather sees her as a close friend.

Henry Knight (Friend)

While at first they didn't get along that well, Heather had to collaborate with Henry during one of her nightly adventures, eventually finding out one of the boy's secrets. That didn't scare Heather off, but it made her even more curious about the Slytherin boy; she considers Henry her friend now, even though she still likes to playfully bicker with him.

She had been in the spotlight from a young age, starring in a few plays the local theatre. Her parents always thought she would continue with her passion, eventually becoming a famous actress. Though just before her eighteenth birthday, she met a man- Alessandro, and the two fell madly in love. Leaving everything behind, Edina ran away with him, and becoming tangled in his secrets, the two started a family in Italy. There, Edina started working as an art curator and had four children. Even though she loved the life, she had, sometimes Edina found herself longing for the days when she was at the prime of her career and wondered what her future would have been if she continued acting. The death of Alessandro changed her for the worse, and ever since Edina hasn't been the same. It was like a part of her died along with her husband. FC: Léa Seydoux

Reducio Name: Alessandro Moretti (Deceased) Birthday: June 7, 1981 Date of Death: July, 2015 Reducio A tall, broad man, Alessandro was quite attractive, not necessarily thanks to his looks, but because of his peculiar charm. He and his sister, Carmen, grew up in a strict household: both their parents were good people at heart, but blinded by the law of tradition. Thus, when the older Moretti child ran away just days before her arranged marriage, his parents were very displeased. In order to make sure that at least their son wasn't going to stray away from his path, they moved to Scotland, and Alessandro attended Hogwarts Academy. There, he faced the shock of being sorted into Hufflepuff, not Slytherin like his family wanted, or Gryffindor, like his heart desired, and had to learn to live with his past regrets. When he graduated, he went on to become an Auror, and, to the horror of his parents, to marry a muggle. He and Edina moved to Italy where, even though normal villagers judged him for his strange habits, Alessandro spent the rest of his life happily with his family, until a work accident cost him his own life. Yet, no matter her struggles, she never found out who Alessandro Moretti actually was. When he died, though, she offered Edina and her four children to live with her; ever since her own marriage crumbled, and her ex-husband took Lewis with him, Bonnie had been quite lonely. She cared and cherished her nieces, and sometimes she was more of a mother than Edina was. Though, not even the girls truly knew who their father was- or if they did, none of them was saying everything. The woman still wonders why her sister sent her oldest daughters to different boarding schools, but again, Edina was the wildcard of the family. FC: Cecile Bois

Even though Heather always admired her, Tina dismissed her sister all the time, preferring to spend time with her own friends and mother. Even though she is known for her distant attitude, she has a soft side, which she shows it rarely. Reducio Name: Ortensia Melina Moretti Birthday: March 2, 2013 Reducio Ortensia and Lottie are like two peas in a pod- they both love each other dearly, and especially after their father died and their mother started neglecting them, they bonded even more. There was a time when Heather was her best friend, too- but after she found out about how her father was just a freak, Ortensia decided she was done having weird people around. A childish thing, but the girl could be very stubborn when it came to holding grudges. With both her older sisters studying to boarding schools, now she and Lottie are receiving all the attention from their mother and aunt. Reducio Name: Charlotte Marcella Moretti Birthday: November 18, 2014 Reducio Unlike Ortensia, who is her idol, Charlotte didn't intend to break off the relationships with Heather, when kids made fun of their father. But since her sister can be quite vengeful and cunning at times, Lottie followed her footsteps. Glued to the hip, even though she missed her older sister at times, Lottie felt like it was either her or Ortensia- and she knew who she would choose no matter what. Now, though, she is happy: Lottie enjoys the attention her mother and aunt are giving it to her; she finally feels like people see her, too. Physical Attributes

-Heather is very tall for her age, and is often mistaken for being older;
- Her body is covered all the time in small cuts and bruises;
-She wears a thin layer of make-up almost all the time;
-Dark circles can be noticed under her eyes;
-Her posture is very straight, thanks to her ballet training

How she shows her emotions

When she is feeling neutral, Heather will still smile, making people feel comfortable around her. When she is truly happy, though, the girl's face will light up, her eyes glowing and a larger smile will replace her default one. Whenever she gets sad, Heather will try to cover it up: she will keep up her smile, albeit with some noticeable effort, and her eyes wouldn't meet other people, choosing to look down. Heather expresses her anger by furrowing her eyebrows, being sarcastic and, sometimes, raising the tone of her voice. While she hardly ever gets mad at someone, and calms down fairly easy, she can be resentful and would continue to use a colder, sometimes meaner approach towards the object of her anger. Shock, and, to an extent, fear are shown by the way Heather raises one of her eyebrows, widening her eyes slightly. When startled or excited, she quickly switches to Italian, out of reflex.

Voice

Slightly raspy. Heather has a fairly high-pitched voice, but as she grows up her vocie will become more deeper. She has an Italian accent, which some days might be more noticeable than others, especially when she is feeling strong emotions. ( Voice Example: here! )
