Penelope was born on the 11th of November 2008 to a Mary and Lucian Alexander. Her now older brother by seven years, William, loved her with all of his heart. He was seven when she was born, but they acted as if they were best friends. From an early age Penelope had known what she wanted to be.
Anything related to Charms. She loves the subject to this day, and she can often be found reading up on it in the common room or by the great lake.
Penelope lived a sweet childhood in Ireland, with the rest of her French family as neighbors. They lived in a spread-out tree covered field, so there was no need for their houses to be squished up against each other.
Penelope's Aunt Mona would invite Penelope over to play with Clara, but Penelope wasn't as fond of Clara as she should've been. The girl was bossy and at times could be mean, and if there was one thing Penelope didn't like, it was a bossy, mean girl.
As time went on, Penelope noticed her brother William disappearing more and more frequently for longer and longer. He wouldn't tell anyone where he was going, but he hinted it was somewhere with his friends, who were mean and ill-mannered.
A few months after Penelope's seventh birthday, a ministry witch knocked on the door of Penelope's house. They said that William had been taken to Azkaban, but no more information was available.
Penelope was heart-broken, as any young girl would be, and so were her parents. Their small boy, fourteen years of age, had been taken to Azkaban? It was so out of character they were ashamed to speak of him, and they moved far away to London where they still reside.
Although Penelope was unaware, her brother had been sent to Azkaban for using an unforgivable curse. The Imperius curse had been placed on two muggles, both of which were around the age of 14. William and his friends, Rupert and Robert (the twins) and Jacob (the 'leader' of the group), had been messing around in a muggle town, wanting to have 'fun'. Their idea of fun was the Ministry of Magic's idea of felony, and so fourteen year-old-William was sent to Azkaban.
Penelope hated London. The people at her muggle school, which she was forced to go to, were mean and bullies. They would tease Penelope for almost everything about her, from her name to her voice to her hair. (Although she thought they were all wonderful)
One day, as a boy was teasing Penelope and tugging at her braids, she got so angry she was about to slap the boy. Instead, a huge flash of light appeared and the boy ran away looking singed, scared, and horrified.
It didn't take a wild guess to understand what had happened. Penelope ran home and told her mother and father the good news: She was a witch! (She left out the part about slapping the boy, but she told them later because of guilt)
Time went on and Penelope's letter to Hogwarts arrived. She studied as hard as she could, and most of the lesson made sense. the only thing she didn't understand very well was Transfiguration, which no one else in her family had been rather good at either. [/center]

Family History

Penelope's mother's side
Penelope's Grandfather on her mother's side was named Jonathan Well. He grew up in France like the rest of his family had done for generations, maintaining a pure bloodline of wizards. They spoke the native language fluently, and remained at Hogwarts despite the other wizarding schools available to them.
Jonathan had as normal childhood as they get in a pure-blood family, playing quidditch in the summer, (although it's hard to play alone without siblings) enchanting snowballs in the winter (a Well's family favorite), and studying for school in the meantime.
As Jonathan grew up he took a special interest in the subject of care of magical creatures, but he developed an even bigger interest for a young woman named Crystal Sabol. After he finished his schooling at Hogwarts (An "E" in every subject other than Care of Magical creatures, which he did especially well in and got an "O") he settled down with Crystal. He became a worker for the ministry of magic, working in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. He loved his job more than anything else in the world, and he had a dear Pygmy Puff named Salt to keep him company at work.
A few years after their graduation from Hogwarts, Crystal and Jonathan had two children named Mary and Mona wells. They were lovely daughters, and they enjoyed every moment they spent together.
Mona, who had been born a year earlier than Mary, thought it of upmost importance to be the best witch could be. She seemed to have been born stiff and rigid, her nose in a book and her hair in a bun.
Mary, on the other hand, was as bright and cheerful as it got. No matter what the situation, she would always be able to make you laugh, or, if necessary, be able to comfort you. It had been Mary's dream for years to become a medic at St.Mungo's, and her husband, Lucian Alexander, supported her every step of the way.
As the years went on, Mona (remember her?) got married to a man named Jackson Duncan, and she took on the name of Duncan. They had a daughter named Clara, and they moved to Ireland when Clara was only 1 year old.
Well, Mona and Jackson seemed to have started a chain reaction. After their daughter moved to Ireland, Jonathan and Crystal moved there, too. They were next-door neighbors, and Mary and Lucian were left alone.
Mary and Lucian didn't want to miss out on the fun, so they followed the rest of their family to Ireland as well. There, they had a son named William, and, seven years later, had a daughter named Penelope.
Penelope's father's side (soon to come)

House Tour
Penelope lived in a small cottage when she was in Ireland. Her whole family lived around her, and it was only a few yards in between their houses.
Penelope's house could often be described as sweet-smelling and delicious, because either her aunt or her mother would bring some sort of sweet to one another's houses.
When you walked up to the front door of the house, you were immediately surrounded by floral arrangements and probably a small planter box. These belonged to Mr.Alexander, who would claim, "No house is perfect unless it's adorned with flowers," Penelope agreed, and she would often pluck one or two of the blooms and place it in her hair.
Pushing open the door, you would immediately be overwhelmed by the amount of activity going on in such a smalll house. The front room had a beautiful bay window, and always there was someone sitting there, reading from one of the bookshelves underneath the seat.
The ground in the entryroom had a beautiful rug with stitching and embroidery skills clear (although it was thanks to a wand that it had happened) and a toy box sat against the wall.
Immediately to the right, there was a wall with pictures of the whole family. It showed Penelope, Clara, and William on their trip to London. It had an assortment of images with Penelope's aunt, uncle, grandmother and granfather. It even had wedding pictures, a variety of wizards and witches within the frames.
Penelope's favorite picture was the one of her mother and father in Germany, when they had gone on a small trip aboard a broom. They looked so happy and blissful, it was hard to imagine anything could go wrong when she looked at it.
If you walked along the wall, gazing at the pictures, you would find yourself abruptly cut off at your gazing by a door to the kitchen.
