Distinctive Features: About six to eight inches shorter than the average male of his age. Larger extremities. Head, feet and hands look a touch too large for his small torso and short limbs. Fingers and toes above average length for a person of his stature. Nose and ears appear mostly normal. Teeth appear ever so slightly pointed compared to most.

The Story

Pre-Hogwarts

Arlo spent most of his childhood in London, England. Most of his family either worked or is still currently employed at Gringott’s Wizarding Bank. He would spend most of his days at the family home, which housed his grandparents as well as his parents. The Reynolds were a private bunch, rarely attending any social outings or events. They were a tight knit family, putting their loyalty to each other above anything else.

Although the family spent most of their time at their London home, it would be the property they held in rural village of Grasmere, England that would come to be a special place in all of their hearts. In the small village, the Reynolds felt like they could love their lives at ease. Their property was large and the magical charms placed upon in kept any Muggles from meddling in their business. It was here that young Arlo would thrive. The Reynolds would spend their weekends and holidays at the cottage of Grasmere. Unlike the small setting back in London, Arlo was free to move around and explore the property. It would be here, around the age of eight, that Arlo would show his first signs of magical abilities. 

One sunny afternoon, young Arlo was out for a walk with his father when a particularly interesting frog jumped across their path. Curiosity getting the best of him, Arlo took off after it. Try as he might, every time his tiny hands attempted to grasp hold of it, his slippery new friend managed to wiggle itself free. Determined to examine this new wonder, Arlo would chase the frog back to the pond it called home. Just as the frog was about to make its final hop to the freedom of the water, Arlo outstretched his tiny arms as far as they could go. Much to his and his father’s surprise, the frog would freeze mid air and gently float back into Arlo’s hands. Much like a Muggle would celebrate their child’s first words or steps, the Reynolds had much to celebrate. Arlo was indeed gifted with the ability of magic.

It came at no surprise that in his eleventh birthday that an owl swooped in through the open window of the cottage. As Arlo’s mother accepted the letter, she knew for sure it would be the invitation letter from Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
