History/Background Story: In the summer of 2008 in Brussels, Yunice Carney was born. Her parents never planned for a baby, or at least that's how the story goes, so her mother put her up for adoption a year after she was born. Shortly afterwards she was adopted by a couple who brought her to England. They're a engineer and biologist named Thadeus and Richard Carney who decided to take her because of how many reluctant anyone else was too. They raised her along with Richard's son, Mathieu, in their humble home in London where she was homeschooled for most of her life. When she was nine years old her father Thadeus got caught up in a political mess where he had to send off his children to a remote place, which is why Yunice and her brother live in Hunshelf with their Aunt Beatrice.
Her birth parents are a Thai muggle named Suchin Kadesadayurat and a German warlock named Christian Jäger. Her parents had her from a one night stand and never saw each other again. Her mother didn't want to deal with the burden of having a child and set her up for adoption. Her mother knew there was something strange about their daughter but couldn't put her finger on until she noticed it was because how often her daughter changed. She was born without hair but the next day her locks fell to her ears, mirroring her mother's own head. Her eyes are naturally dark but sometimes they'd be blue like the nurses or pale grey like the doctor's. She had freckles like her father but they faded away.
Yunice always knew she was different since she was five years old. Little things would happen, like she would get a premonition just before something happened, an object would move from one place to another when no one was looking, or the object would change appearance slightly but noticable if you looked hard enough. She thought it was pure coincidence until one birthday party. It was her best friend's birthday and one of her cousins loved to pick on her best friend, which she hated because her friend was shy and no one did anything about it. The cousin was bout to shove the friend's face into the cake but then Yunice screamed, 'don't do that!' and the cake exploded into his face. She got into trouble because everyone thought she threw it but she knows what happened.
