HISTORY

Pre-Hogwarts

Libby was born November 18th, 2007 in Scotland but was raised in England. Her parents are Lissa and Terrence Holmgren, two childhood friends who married six years after graduating from Hogwarts. While her mother was a Ravenclaw and her father a Hufflepuff, they bounded after being teased for how identical they looked, though it was only because of their red hair and blue eyes. They children they bore shared the same looks but that's where the similarities ended, for each Holmgren carries a personality truly unique, which confuses people.

She grew up in a nice home in Brighton along with her two brothers and her sister. The oldest is Gatsby, who's sixteen and a Gryffindor. It fits him perfectly, though most wish that he wasn't so bossy and serious. Next is her older sister Alessandra, who she calls Less for convenience. She's a Ravenclaw fourth year who is incredibly intelligent but is bent on making Libby's life as miserable as possible. After Libby is Noel, the youngest Holmgren who she'll protect until the world or her life ends, whichever comes first. She thinks he's the most precious thing in existence. Second, but not even close, is caramel candies. Although Libby loves all of her siblings very much, she wishes that some of them were so irritating.

At a very young age Libby had a good relationship with her family. Everything was good and happy. Whenever Alessandra and Libby quarreled their father was there to settle things, usually with a treat or with a tickle. If Libby ever had a question about the world her mother was there to answer it, no matter how trivial or complex. Her brother hadn't been as imposing because he just wanted to focus on sports and being good at them. Those rare times he played with his younger siblings was treasured by them forever.

One night changed everything. It took exactly three days for their mother to finally tell them that their father was gone forever. It impacted each of them in different ways but really it was all the same: it would never be the same. The rope that brought them all together had come loose and they were all battling the sea of life, desperately trying to reach calm waters without any help or hope.

Well, at least it was like that for a while. The children got used to things eventually but their mother...it was like something turned off. She couldn't function as she did before and even Libby's constant pestering didn't do much. She slid into some dark state where she did her daily routine of taking care of her children and herself, but no more, no less. And it was barely enough.

Soon Alessandra decided to confront their mother and got their grandparents involved. They moved to Harrow, England when Libby was seven years old and she's been living their since, in their Grandpa's big yet quaint private home. Libby got a better education, since her grandmother tutored them in subjects they didn't do well in. She wanted to turn their weaknesses into strength, though Libby didn't see how she couldn't turn her recklessness into anything useful. But she still learned a lot of useful things that changed her over the years for the better.

She went to muggle school for education before Hogwarts. It was a great experience because she got to know the non-magic better and became used to their way of living, although she'd come home to something very different. Libby has nothing against the muggles but she does see her kind as more superior. She would never take sides in a war between the two species because she loves them both.
