Her parents are French and British. Her muggle mother, Liliana Harlish, was born in the United States when her parents moved over from France due to work. Her wizard-born father, George Laurent, was born and raised in England. The two met in England after they both graduated from college, and after dating for a few years, they decided to marry and live in France, specifically Grasse, a South Western province. Due to their marriage, Liliana changed her last name to Laurent, and stayed with George after learning about the Wizarding World.

      They had Teiki, their first daughter, born June 18, 2008. When she was 1, they also adopted a puppy, named Milly to entertain the curious girl. Growing up, she was rather shy when it came to people outside of her family. Within her family, though, she was content to explain entire explorations to her family and express her 4 year old opinions. Milly died when Teiki was 6 years old, leaving Teiki feeling alone. Since she was 6, though, she started going to a muggle school, where her parents encouraged her to make friends, so that she could heal from the pain the loss had given her.

Despite still being quite shy, she made friends with a couple of students at the school. One was Danielle, one who she grew to be quite fond of, and felt as though she could talk freely with. Whenever recess came around, the two would find some new place to sit down and explore around. Another good friend of hers was named Rhianna. Despite the young ages, they were both considered the smart ones or the weirdos. The two bonded over that, but mainly over the homework that they would help each other with, causing their stereotype to only grow.

        Her two twin sisters were born on separate days, May 8th and 9th, being born at around midnight. Night was born first, followed by Daisy. The two twin provided a whole new addition to the mini-chaos that was their home. Teiki made sure they didn't hurt themselves whenever she had free time, and saw that they both bonded quite well. Teiki never really bonded with her two younger sisters.

        Continuing at her school, she made a few more friends, but was still considered the shy, smart girl. This angered Emma, the popular girl in their class, because Emma felt she should be the teacher's pet, not Teiki, who rarely spoke. The bullying did cause Teiki to speak up and be more like herself around strangers, which only backfired on Emma. Instead of the two switching roles, the teacher only liked Teiki more because Teiki was now more likely to answer the questions in class, as well as help other students.

          Of course, the bullying only backfired more. Instead of Teiki continuing to be submissive, she stood up for herself, as well as a few of her friends. But that was only once, and she wasn't one to want to stand out or go against the crowd.

            When she received her letter, she was so excited. She had heard all about Hogwarts from the wizard-side of her family. Her cousin had gone before her, and she was excited for all the events that her cousin had told her about. She hoped her sisters would also be able to experience the magic of-well- magic, really.

Her magic first came the day before her 9th birthday. She was watching her mother make a delicious chocolate cake. Once her mother was finished, she was so excited that the cake started growing in size. At first, her mother was confused, but then grew excited as she realized that Teiki's magic was beginning to surface. 

Teiki has just started her first year at Hogwarts. She knows very little about Hogwarts, but has started to make friends/attend events.

Appearance: Astrid has a doe-like appearance. She has long light brown hair and large caramel eyes. Both her nose and mouth are rounded and small. That, and her small stature make Astrid look to be an 8 year old. Her clothing style varies from childish with large skirts and bow, to more of a party with colorful clothing and bracelets.

Personality: First impressions would dictate that Astrid is a sweet kid who would love nothing other than to impress her parents. Astrid, though, is more into adventures and sub-plots that she enjoys concocting whenever she is bored and feels a little manipulative. Most of the time, she is generally exuberant and out there, not really caring for the rules, but more the adventure that will happen. She enjoys parties, candies, and dancing, as well as most sports, but dislikes over-protective people and studying.

History: Astrid was born and raised in Elko, Nevada. She had a large family, with the majority of her cousins and siblings being boys. She was also one of the youngest children, which caused her to get a lot of love from the adults in her family. After a little while, Astrid learned how to use their love to her advantage. She slowly mainpulated them into giving her what she wanted, and found this to be an entertaining past time. Astrid was easily bored, though, and realized that her interests were more into adventure and parties. Two different aspects, sure, but neither of them really fit what her current layout was of being the studious child.
Changing slowly, she was able to become more adventurous and go to more parties without her family changing their mindset about her too much. When she got the letter that she had made it into Ilvermorny, she was excited. A brand new adventure, and one that had magic? She was thrilled. Her family also viewed her as more special because she could preform magic unlike the rest of the family.
It did put some doubt in her head, was she actually able to manipulate people, or was that her magic just showing it's effects?
