Here, there, everywhere; just another face in the crowds of Hogwarts. For the most part it tends to stay that way but on the off chance you've already met, my condolences.

~ Lethargic ~ Reducio The truth is it's actually most likely to catch Elsian asleep, or at least in a sluggish state as this lion lives up to his houses namesake. Which actually means having a nice cat nap when the fancy hits him. From dozing between classes, to sprawled out in the snow, it's anyone's guess where this mess of a Gryffindor will inevitably end up out cold next. With his spontaneous location swaps the boy's just as likely to startle some poor soul as the odd chuckle. It can lead up to some pretty funny if not odd meetups, but despite the potential hilarity it's not always fun & games. Depending on the time and place Elsian isn't always the most pleasant when woken up and whether or not you'll have a civil time is a 50/50 gamble. He's far from a morning person, or an afternoon person for that matter, so if you're hoping to get him up you better have a good reason or better bribery because if not? Well, good luck getting him to give you the time of day.

~ Absentminded ~ Reducio As decent as his marks may be, focused he is not! Even his drowsiness a side Elsian is prone to daydreaming and easily distracted with things he isn't interested in. While he doesn’t exactly mean for these things to happen, he also doesn’t do much to put a stop to getting off topic when the problem rears its head. Be it school work that just isn't clicking enough to keep his attention or even conversations with other people, if there’s nothing to anchor him to the topic or work at hand Elsians train of thought will quickly move on and spiral into something else. The boy's mind is constantly on the edge of wandering in a daze and falling off a cliff straight to a sea of random thoughts and once he gets past those lines it's a downhill battle trying to get him to refocus. It’s no surprise that this sort of thing can be the bane of existence for others. When it comes down to having to deal with things you don’t want to do he’s a master of procrastination & last minute saves, horribly enough it tends to work which in turn only enables bad habits much to the pain of whatever poor saps partnered with him in Astronomy. To the perfectionist partner in potions, better hope they have a sense of humor because measurements & daydreaming? Those don’t mix well! Trying to make a point on a topic not on his interest list of the day? Well, for any of the more prideful types out there look out for bruised egos and bitter words. This debate will probably be more one-sided than it was meant to be.

~ Chivalrous ~ Reducio Apparently chivalry isn't as dead as people say; pretty surprising considering the person but maybe, just maybe, that old sorting hat was onto something after all! It'd probably be hard to believe for anyone he'd been unlucky enough to offend, however despite worst impressions Elsi can prove to be a rather chivalrous person at the worst of times, quite literally! He's the type that for all the snark he gives, no matter how much he may grumble or seem otherwise, Elsi's quick to help if someone needs it. It may not obvious but the boy would risk detention if it meant helping a classmate find a lost pet & for the people he fights with? While he may not like you he's quick to offer you his coat before he sees you freeze. He tends to hold himself to certain standards and conduct that just might not seem all that necessary to others but its in the small things that this really shows.

~ A History Lesson ~

𓋒 A house hold torn apart by the seams by new perspectives. They were once more commonly known by the name Fairchild among like minded blood purists. A name that anyone marrying in had to take and one of the many old fashioned traditions that were inevitably ignored. In recent years the household holds none of the 'power' or image that some other wizarding families try to uphold. Rather the family distanced themselves, both from the 'family' they disowned & the dark history behind it, wanting nothing to do with such an outdated, barbaric mindset as many of their predecessors had. Nowadays Fairchild is a name you can't count on leading you to a member of the family, as some members have even married into muggle households. A fact that has gained them no love for any of the dwindling blood purists still out there.

Meeting the Family

~ Annelise Cox ~ ၀ Mother ၀ Reducio Frightfully relentless and willful, Annelise is a wanderer at heart. Constantly sticking her nose in places she shouldn’t, pushing the boundaries she had as a child, once she had the opportunity for freedom she took it and she's been traveling ever since. If you were looking for a companion to travel across the world, to randomly drive across the state to see the sights she would be it. Spontaneous as she is, you will never be bored in her presence. Constantly she’s changing to fit the place, and just when you’ve gotten used to a new look she's already gained a new look. Despite how much she travels she never spares any expense for her wardrobe, something that may seem a bit mind boggling for people who have only seen her roughing it up or knee deep in the mud. Her family understands her need to move, to have that choice. Oftentimes? She’s trying to egg on the family, though mostly her son and step sister, to join her. Still, while this Ravenclaw may be a traveler, an adventurer at her core, this never stops her from making time for her family. Whether it be by putting off any traveling for weeks or months between trips or dragging them with her.

~ Derin Cox ~ ၀ Father ၀ Reducio Known to be a man with a lighthearted sense of humor & a bad case of tunnel vision, Derin Cox is certainly not the uptight, composed sort you’d expect from such a work oriented man, what with his ‘unfashionable’ bowties and constantly crooked glasses. Yet he undoubtedly is, oftentimes having to be reminded to take breaks and eat between whatever work or project has his attention. A bad habit he's gotten better at controlling when Elsian showed signs of copying this. He has an obvious love for the theater, it's no secret he can be a bit of a theater nerd, rambling at dinner and talking your ear off as you leave the show. His affection for silly baubles and enchanting them can often be a problem with clutter if not kept in check but also tends to be something fun and magical to see when his pet projects make themselves known around the holidays.

~ Matilde Fairchild ~ ၀ Aunt၀ Reducio One of the far more practical and level headed of the family tree, Matilde tends to be the woman more traditional or high strung wizard families would likely look to for conversations. She’s usually the one that would truly get on your case for bad behavior or anything to do with shaky public image but it stems from a place of love and worry. While she can be stern at the end of the day it’s because she cares deeply and simply wants her family to be safe and happy. It’s easy to see this with her, with how she can fuss about and dote on others. Usually this over protective doting is secluded to her family but sometimes it can make itself known with a wrath for close family friends, or certain individuals that seem in need of some motherly spoiling. Most of her working hours revolve around charities and design, the two going hand in hand very nicely as she enjoys being able to design and plan events while helping others. When not working she enjoys painting, simply as a hobby more than anything else and tends to keep these paintings secluded to her home and family when they desire a certain work she's done.

~ Natalie Fairchild ~ ၀ Aunt ၀ Reducio A wild flirt and a bit of a gossip, Natalie is a young woman you can count on to lighten the mood of any party so long as you don’t mind maybe a hint of mischief. She was quite the adventurous Beauxbaton back in her student years and that mischievous, bold spirit is something that’s only been emboldened over the years. She lives in America, working as a full time wedding photographer. Getting ‘magical’ shots for her clients every time and finding new and exciting ways to get the most fantastical looking shots she can without tipping off those wedding moments just may have the tiniest bit of magic helping to make things perfect. Whenever she has downtime she makes the trip back to England to visit the family but also won’t turn down job requests out of America if they happen to bring her close enough for a surprise visit~

Elena Jangleton Reducio ༻✧༺ An older girl in his house, he doesn’t really know much about her aside from her name and that apparently Kitty has taken a shine to the girl for some reason. Perhaps the girl had an abundance of shiny accessories? Either way, she was one of the people willing to try and help search for Kitty when she was ‘lost’ so she seems decent enough.

Sage Greenwood ၀ Glitter Warlord ၀ Reducio ༻✦༺ One of his first and very best friends, he met her in a book shop when she was looking for fairytales. She was the one to really get the boy into Muggle things and make him more comfortable hanging around Muggle London; they spent many a summer night watching movies and swapping days at each other's house for sleepovers. Elsian adores Sage and the girl remains the only real friend the tired boy has in his own house. She's less inclined towards mischief than Elsian but the girl was one of the first to have a hand in the boy discovering his…inclination towards it when she gave him her sled to use in stair surfing, a term she taught him from one of her favorite movies.

᠎ㅤAlec Mason᠎ㅤ Reducio ༻✧༺ Oh of all the insufferable, selfish, little brats the world has to offer; Elsian cannot stand the boy! He’s the biggest jerk ever, always trying to get a rise outta him and not caring a sliver about how he's constantly ruining Elsians day! Just brushes it off and makes stupid jokes! There was a moment where Elsian felt kinda bad for the boy when he somehow pushed the boy into a panic attack but honestly, he hardly cares to remember the event, especially when the boy is as annoying as ever. He’s like a persistent tick; Elsian just can’t seem to be rid of the other Gryffindor.

Dakota Olson Reducio ༻✦༺ Was one of the first to truly make Kittys acquaintance in a positive light; Elsi and Kitty met her when Kitty decided the girl was a perfect perch to hop onto and the two students got to talking. They became quick friends after they kept running into one another, with the Gryffindor quickly growing fond and protective of the anxious Badger.

Dorion Anderson ၀ Creampuff ၀ Reducio ༻✧༺ They had a rough start these 2, with Elsian going as far as trying to avoid the Hufflepuff when they saw him in the library with a quick escape. Suffice to say it didn’t work, and to this day Elsian would be glad of that as Dorion was quick to become one of his closest and most trusted friends. He absolutely adores the Creampuff, and it shows with how comfortable the boy is around them, always quick to dramatically flop by them in class or whine to them about his books being too heavy; he’s a downright dramatic ass around the Huffpuff but would honestly cross hell and back for the other. Elsian thinks that they’re fun, adorable, and feels the most at ease around them than hes felt in a long time; like they're someone he can continue to count on even when nothing makes sense. There are days he worries about how much they have on their plate however, times when they seem wearier and more worn than perhaps is normal, but Elsian tries not to pester them about this, instead bugging them into hanging out and relaxing so he knows they had at least a tiny break. It may not always seem like it, but the lazy boy would do anything for them.

Logan Baird ၀ Queenie ၀ Reducio ༻✧༺ Logan has been one of Elsians closest friends since their 1st year at Hogwarts, they had a bit of a rough start when the boy accidentally made a girl cry, but it was quickly forgotten in the face of the boys' sheepish apologies. He would do just about anything if she asked him and would be just as quick to pick a fight with anyone who tried to hurt the girl; she’s one of his best friends and Elsian would literally fly through dragon's fire on her behalf. Despite what others may think of the Hufflepuffs demeanor, Elsian knows just how outgoing and fun the girl can be if given the chance and the boy greatly enjoys trying to prank or wheedle the girl into silly things or pranking him back despite her prefect status. Although she also comes off as a bit of a nerd, and Elsi takes great joy in teasing her about being a smarty pants/nerd. Sometimes he worries about pushing the girl, and other times wonders if maybe she’s a bit too focused on being responsible and not enough on what she wants but ultimately tries to respect that she knows what she's doing. Still, sometimes he worries.

Serena Towers Reducio ༻✧༺ A fairly recent acquaintance, Elsian officially met the older girl while trying to craft puppets with a crappy crafting book. They don’t know one another very well, but at first glance Serena seems nice enough; it helps that she has an adorable rat with the best name ever!!!

George Henry ၀ Reject ၀ Reducio ༻✧༺ The 2 crossed paths on the Hogwarts Express during their 1st year. It was pleasant enough, although they haven’t really kept in touch since, save for a few letters that have long since stopped being sent.

Charlotte Harrington Reducio ༻✦༺ A entitled, snooty, know it all who Elsian was all too happy to ignore until she got snippy with him over a simple seat in the library. He admits, he was probably a little bit harsher than necessary but in his defense she was the one who started it, waking him up for a stupid seat of all things. There’d been plenty of others!

ㅤAdelaide Barloweㅤ Reducio ༻✧༺ An infuriating girl who he hardly knows, but that type of annoying talent deserves a top spot to perch on.

ㅤSamantha Salwisㅤ ၀ Feather Brain ၀ Reducio ༻✧༺ Possibly one of the worst first meetings up to date, and that’s saying something! Elsian couldn’t stand the other at first, thought she was the biggest self-centered, pig headed, egomaniac he’d ever had the displeasure of meeting; but could you blame him? She’d almost hurt Kitty! And oh, did she have zero remorse! No, all she seemed willing to do was scream her empty head off and act like some deranged maniac. The few meetings after that were hardly better, if anything, they were worse! Except, against all odds, the bird brain had actually been kinda…dare he say nice! Ends up, Salwis wasn’t a total Feather Head after all. Don’t get it wrong, Elsian still thinks she’s a total brat and a huge blabbermouth, seriously the girl can talk for hours, but for all the feathers taking up space in her head she’s actually not that bad once you get to know her, or well…get past some of her…worse traits. He wouldn’t call her a friend but…Feathers isn’t quite the person he hated before. A shaky frenemy perhaps. Still, despite how annoying she can be Elsi finds he doesn’t really mind the girl as much as he thought he would, and even enjoys tolerates her company.

William Dubois Reducio ༻✦༺ Slightly nosey, and a bit arrogant, yet Elsian wouldn’t have the other boy any other way. The two boys had a bad start when they first met, quickly falling into an argument yet somehow quickly evolved into a quick, if slightly shaky, friendship that had quickly grown. Elsians incredibly fond of the other and misses him.

Henry Knight ၀ Joker ၀ Reducio ༻✧༺ Partner in crime, best friend, and his favorite enabler; he’s totally a nerd, something Elsi wasn’t aware of at first but upon learning has since then taken great joy in teasingly calling him a dork whenever he acts like a know it all and jokingly bribing the other boy into doing his Astronomy hw or lending him notes. Henry is the first person he thinks to drag into his shenanigans and has grown to look forward to creating wild pranks and pulling them off with the Slytherin boy; when in doubt Henry is the one he knows he can trust to have his back with the more…secretive problems he gets into. In turn Elsian has gained a strong appreciation and slowly blooming protective steak for his friend; he loves hanging out with Henry and would hex anyone who picked a fight with his buddy in a heartbeat. Sometimes there's this…odd feeling between them. Elsian doesn’t really know what it is, if maybe he’s just imagining the little flashes of heaviness that seem to come and go quick as a flash of the boy's camera, he’s not quite confident enough to bring it up. But there’s…something odd going on. Sometimes Elsian gets almost anxious, worried, that somethings bugging the other beyond normal bad moods, but other times its different. Like a buildup, one that fizzles out just as quick as it appeared, heavy with the silence between yet doesn't inspire the same uncomfortable feelings as the one before it. He wonders if Henry really knows how much Elsian cares for him.

Opeila Winters Reducio ༻✧༺ Elsian first met her in an accidental snowball fight; it was a short meeting but 1 that was nonetheless fun and memorable. They reconnected recently while Elsian was crafting; from what little they’ve hung out the girl seems pretty fun and a cool person to hang out with.

Monica Evans Reducio ༻✧༺ Now that’s a snake that knows how to have fun! Elsi has yet to get to know her but when someone's first instinct towards a surprise Birthday ambush is to pull a James Bond move and summersault to get away and fight back…well enough said!

June Selwyn Reducio ༻✧༺ Bit of a rough start this one, what with almost breaking her toes! Luckily the girl seems to be mild mannered and like, really relaxed…maybe a bit too forgiving all things considered.
