The Flaer household has always been of Pureblood standing with a long lineage of strong magical users. With the Wizarding Wars, the Flaer name has always been welcoming of all and continues to defend those that needed it, especially during the time of You-Know-Who. Eoin Flaer's father, Lark's Grandfather, was just one of many who were killed trying to shelter other half/mixed blood families. At Hogwarts the Flaer name has held a reputation as Hufflepuffs with the exception of some much older female ancestors who were Ravenclaws. These women were often silver haired and of a different uniqueness all their own...

Or at least that is what the Flaers would have you believe.
Recently it has come to light the truth behind Eoin's family bloodline and what it has passed down to Lark causing him to have kept his daughter in complete darkness as well as live a sheltered lifestyle.

- FAMILY TREE -

Eoin's Great Great Grandfather, Quinlan, married a woman Lyra. He also had a lover, Ava a Metamorphmagus.
Quinlan and Ava had a daughter [Aislian] -- Ava leaves the child with him, the child is a Metamorph.
Aislian [M] marries -- 2 boys 1 girl [Breehan]
Breehan marries -- 1 boy 2 girls [ Twins Rynne and Wynne, a Metamorph.]
((Wynne is the crazy aunt that Eoin runs into -- Originally she was thought to be a boy until age 5.))
Rynne gets married to Keir who are Eoin's parents, Larks Grandparents.

Lark's mother, Clara, is from the Irish Clan Irewynd who trace their line back to the ancient Celts in Munster or now county Clare Ireland. They have always been a close knit clan and proudly have attended Hogwarts within the Ravenclaw household. This side of the family has always been fascinated with Divination and any type of Astrological doings. Many of the Irewynd family members have loyally served the Ministry within various departments or traveling across Europe parting in various Magical Research projects.

Lark really couldn't recall most of the fights her parents had but she knew it was a rare sight. Yet, she had been far too young to remember when her father dropped an ancient vase the Ministry had been studying at the sight of his daughter having what appeared to be a tail sticking from her diaper as she sat petting the neighborhood cat. The intense fight that had ensued the night they brought Lark home and her hair had been darker when they had left the hospital... at home putting her to bed under the floating stars Eoin had cast over her bed to find her hair instantly shifted silver. Clara tried to argue it had been nothing, maybe it was an effect of the spell Eoin had cast for the stars that rubbed off on their child, shotty spellwork... Just Eoin seeing things, lack of sleep from overworking. There had been many more instances, mainly in her father's presence. Clara finally had a taste of it as she picked up her daughter only to be greeted with a whiskered face and some sort of cold wet animal nose where her own child's tiny button nose should have been. There hadn't been many other cases of strange behavior after she was a year old until the age of 7, after her first REAL magical encounter outside with the goldfinch transfig. It had been nothing more than tantrums her mother said, outbursts that led to the reddest face, freckles disappearing and reappearing, hair almost lightening on it's own, bluer if she seemed sad... but her father couldn't help and think back to stories about the strange woman that had been mingled with his own lineage. His own Aunt, Wynne had shown up in his youth once, wild silvery blue hair unkempt and flying in the wind. Her face twisted as she seemed to take on another shape. He had been just a boy back then and not fully understood, sheltered from the madness by the rest of the family. The Aunt had never been mentioned and was forgotten as quickly as she had left with a local circus. The Aunt that he had never known was truly his blood until his own father let loose Eoin's true history. His REAL parents.

The only time she had shown up again in Eoin's life had been at Lark's birth. Clara wasn't due for another week or so... but this strange man had bumped into him, a streak of silver hair and golden eyes offering to buy his lunch for him as he seemed in such a rush. He had not given a second thought, just found it to be a nice gesture but that image of the man's intense golden eyes always lingered in Eoin's mind. Just as the horrible shape shifting and frightful stories his family had pumped into him, warning him of such madness. Metamorphmagi had only left the Flaer's family lips with disdain and hatred it seemed. When Lark was born and they lived in Lisdoonvarna, Clara's family had found out a bit of information on Eoin's heritage which had been the fight that led to them moving. It made Eoin confront his Father and Grandfather who were tight lipped but eventually when Eoin brought up concerns about Lark's appearance changes and silver hair They broke down and pulled out the family books to show Eoin was actually from a separate line that his Great Great Grandfather had created with a Metamorphmagi woman.

Hoping for the best Eoin had tried to compensate for his daughter's outburts or change in appearance. This also led to a lot more stay at home adventures and playtime, homeschooling etc. She hardly was let out around other magical folk and absolutely never around Muggles. The past had fallen from his mind until the day his daughter received her letter for Hogwarts.. that's when he realized he would need to tell his daughter, eventually as the news of Clara being pregnant seems to swiftly catch his attention due to a difficult pregnancy.. Lark is not aware of this huge part of her and has been good about managing her daily life quietly on her own, not really paying attention to strange things that may happen.

Now at Hogwarts, Lark will be faced with this knowledge..on her own. Having never interacted with so many people and such a variety, it will try her patience and her temper. Her anxiety will be fed and jealous, single child mindset will be tested letting this lineage of Metamorphmagi blood to finally show its true self to her.

Born in Lisdoonvarna, Ireland on May 14th. Her mother's family lived just on the outskirts with all sorts of Aunts and Uncles, Cousins to grow up around. At some point there had been a bit of a falling out with Eoin and Clara's Grandfather that led to a scuffle involving Muggles. Circumstances made it so the pair decided to move their little family closer to Eoin's family in Cork.

Growing up Lark was a single child until recently this past year finding out she will have a younger brother to look forward to. In general she had a pleasant childhood so far with plenty of love and affection. There has not been much unusual for a Magical family other than whisperings of a crazy silver haired great aunt who seemed more mysterious than anything to her, although the other adults kept it all very hush hush. At least that's what Lark thought...

Her family raised her to be open minded and caring. They often had animals around and lived on a busy street alongside some other magical families. Although her parents and Gran made it a point to never let Lark out with the other children Magical or not and absolutely NEVER with Muggles. Her father's fear of the Metamorphmagus part of his blood having passed to his daughter made him too nervous. Still she had plenty of magic to learn from and grow up around with the rest of her family and her father working from home. This has made Lark quite lacking in the way of the world especially when it comes to anything and everything Muggle. She has a good head on her shoulders and is a quick study.

At first her parents were worried about her magical ability as it had taken awhile to show itself when they were around. As she fairly quiet and easy-going baby most of her magical happenings were small and by herself at night in her crib. Lark usually prefers to be by herself and didnt openly have a magical incident in front of her parents until the age of 7 when they found her outside talking to a group of gold finches, until her mother realized it was daffodils that had taken on bird like shapes. After that they encouraged her but she usually shied away feeling pressure to live up to her family's abilities.
