Life Before Hogwarts: Before Hogwarts: Lucian Salvatore Grey was born to Pure-Bloods Blackwell and Salem Grey on February 13th, a beautiful baby girl with porcelain skin and a feisty temperament, as well as uncharacteristically stormy eyes. Her eyes had always looked furious as a baby, as if with one look, the newborn would strike you down with thunder and lightning. After her first week in the hospital, Lucian was brought back to Grey Manor, a large, stoney mansion located in a wooded plain in Bristol, England. The Manor was where Lucian lived all her life, with her sister Ellowyn, her brother Alistair, and her brother Oberron. In the beginning of her life, her siblings and her were quite close, playing in the rivers surrounding the Manor, climbing trees, throwing her up on their brooms and speeding her around the pointed rooftops of the home. Although Lucian has few memories of her earlier life, she knows that after her birth, her family had been quite connected. Her mother and father were still happy, her father came out of his study and would cook dinner while her mother would play with her in the expansive living room, Ellowyn reading by the fireplace, Alistair playing wizard chess by himself, Oberron charging around the hallways, trying to beat his previous times. Time together as a family had been everything, and magic surrounded her; as if her family was attempting to prove their pure-bloodedness by flaunting their magical history and abilities. Lucian didn’t think twice about this at the time, she was far too young to know any different. She was always told by her father, even as a young child, “Omnes Familiae Est”, a saying in Latin that means, “Family Means All”. Family was everything to Blackwell, a trait that stuck with Lucian the entirety of her young childhood life.
As Lucian grew older, her family grew apart. Blackwell began to lock himself in his study more and more often, her mother beginning to be forced to raise the children on her own. Lucian has vivid memories of her mother sitting outside the locked and enchanted door of her father’s study, tears streaming down her face, which she hastily would wipe away when Lucian would turn the corridor’s corner. “Hi honey,” She’d always say, sniffling the raspiness out of her voice and taking the child in her arms, rocking her in her lap. “Mummy’s just taking a small break.” She would console her daughter, despite the fact that she was too young to know what was happening; Salem was really just trying to console herself.
Despite Lucian’s attempts to tell herself it was all normal as she was young, as she grew older, she began to realize her family was not normal, and that it, in fact, wasn't going to begin to get any better. Soon Blackwell was stealing out into the late hours of the night after the children were tucked into bed, Lucian listening at the door to her mother begging him to stay inside, to stay safe. Vivid memories of, “You don’t need to go out there, you don’t need to help them.” cloud her mind, and although Lucian has never quite known where her father would go, she knew it had something to do with something very dark. She would hear bangs downstairs, her mother's screams and tears, before the door slammed and her father was gone.
“Family Means All” She would remind herself, saying it until she was blue in the face.
The longer Salem was forced to care for the four children on her own, the longer she was married to the love of her life, yet missing the love, the closer she came to insanity. She began to talk to herself repeatedly, something that even in the wizarding world, was a bad sign. Oberron began to spend more and more time with Lucian, taking her out of the house, flying her around, doing his best to keep her away from the situation; however, she’d always been a smart kid. She knew what was happening. She wasn’t stupid.
Salem eventually turned to anger, her mental state breaking, taking it out on her four children. She would often burst into fits of spell casting, cursing, and eventually, when it was all over, curling up in a ball on the stone floor and crying. Despite Lucian’s vague memory of many of the aspects of her childhood, this is something she remembers as clear as her crystal potion vials, often reminded by the thin, white scars covering her legs and stomach, as well as the long, thin scar running from her cupids bow to over the top of her lip. Although she does her best to hide the scars covering her body, the scar on her lip remains seen by all who come in contact with her. Too cold to strangers to provide the truth, Lucian devises a new story whenever she feels like it, as a sort of entertainment.

During Hogwarts: When Lucian arrived at Hogwarts, she was sorted into Gryffindor, something that came as quite the disgusting shock to her, a child brought up in a bloodline made up entirely of Slytherins. Being in a house full of extremely boisterous children proved to be incredibly difficult for her, as she had always been raised to be extremely independent. Although she hasn’t allowed herself to grow close to anyone just yet, she has begun to socialize with quite the assortment of people. She found herself in the library, in the owlery, in the Common Room, in the Quidditch Training Pitch, introducing herself, meeting people, analyzing. She found it increasingly important to create a name for herself here at Hogwarts; to introduce herself to everyone she possibly could, while still maintaining her professional and stoney exterior.
She has begun to make allies and formulate her own plans as of how to gain the most power here; however, Lucian isn’t anywhere close to done yet. It can be ensured that there will be far more adventures recorded here in the future.
