History/Background Story: Jerome's parents are originally from the United States of America. The Bronx, New York. His mother is a pure blood witch, and his father is a muggle born. His upbringing was very normal compared to the people who had no knowledge of magic. He wasn't even aware that his mother was a witch. She would later reveal that it was due to his sisters being born without magic. She didn't want to confuse their knowledge of the world even further. It wasn't until he had an altercation with kids on the playground in the second grade. An eventful day of pre-school, yet the three kids that witnessed it could never forget the entire play ground's metal bars bending towards them. Their gossip started and spread throughout their neighborhood. Eventually the entire community was actively avoiding them. There were rumors that he sacrificed chickens and other kids to obtain magical powers. It eventually became too much for him and he ditched school at all costs.
The lack of his schooling led him to get into trouble with kids from other neighborhoods. He had eventually found a group of people that didn't know who he was. Running around and getting in trouble with them, he was always the one that managed to get away from everybody. It didn't matter who it was Jerome always managed to find a way out. His nickname "Ghost", became the replacement of devil worshiper.
His parents decided on a move to England. Catching on to his antics, the bad habits, and his new nick name. He was only 10 years old at the time of the move. It's been a hard adjustment. The metric system is odd to him, and the accents are still taking him a good bit to learn and digest.
While he made some friends in England. Most of his time was spent doing some very basic magic with his mother. Her only form of education came from her grandmother. Who was also a witch. Within half a year a professor from Hogwarts approached them. They explained their school and how the system worked. Both of his parents were thrilled, and Jerome gladly accepted this offer.
To Jerome, the fact that he is able to bend objects by using magic is a great mark of luck. He's decided to approach school a lot more seriously though the place overwhelms him in different ways, he's very excited to leave his mark in Hogwarts history. Just brushing up on the basics of the houses he had been under the impression that Slytherin would have taken him. He has no real complaints of placing in Gryffindor, but he fears if the placement will take away from the promising future he would have had in Slytherin.
