History/Background Story:
Even at a young age, Landon has always had a passion for social justice. He always seems to find himself in the middle of a cause, whether it is standing up against a bully, or advocating for what’s right. His natural curiosity and love of reading usually makes him come off as a know-it-all despite his genuine and humble personality. He truly has a good heart and is always willing to help those in need.

Although scrawny, Landon stands at an average height for his age. He always has his thick dark brown hair combed over to one side. He likes to dress in darker and more stark colored clothing which makes his light brown eyes pop in contrast. His light complexion also highlights two sole beauty marks on his face, one below his right eye and another below his lips. One distinct marking on him is a small scar that runs through his left eyebrow, making hair growth sometimes difficult along the scar’s surface.

Landon’s history and grace truly started before he was even born. Being the child of two Muggle-born parents, one a teacher and another a social worker, who had difficulties conceiving, his birth was a blessing for his family. It was no wonder that he gravitated toward his academics and social issues, having had parents who nurtured those passions. He was the only child for nearly five years until his parents adopted a little newborn girl. His life was a peaceful one despite the fact that growing up Landon held a secret from his parents. He knew he was different and that was before magic entered his life. At the start of middle school, Landon knew that he identified as a gay male.

It was on that fateful night, after dinner, that Landon was in his room contemplating how he would tell his loving parents about who he was that his magical powers first manifested. He had made his way back down to the kitchen where his mother had been washing dishes while his father graded papers on the kitchen table.

Looking back now, Landon recalls the pure sense of anxiety he felt in that moment - the fear of the unknown. He remembered forming the words in his mind and as he parted his lips, ready to utter them, the water erupted out of the faucet’s mouth and gauzed the kitchen while the multi-colored pen his father used exploded in an array of red, black, blue, purple, and green ink across the stacks of paper in front of him.

In retrospect, it was a glorious exhibit of color - what with the falling water creating a shimmer of a rainbow as the setting sun hit its reflective surface through the window and the color-assorted pen made a glorious montage of color on a poor student’s essay. Ironically, though he never had the chance to tell his parents about his sexuality - it seemed the manifestation of his magical powers had announced his affinity to the symbolic representation of the LGBTQ community, the rainbow.

It didn’t take long for the letter from Hogwarts to arrive and despite the extreme resistance from his parents - they relented and allowed Landon to attend the magical school but if anything went awry that first year - he would be withdrawn and sent right back to his muggle school. The exchange left Landon disheartened to tell his parents the secret that had started these chain of events. Since then, he has hesitated to reveal yet another aspect of who he truly is to his parents.
