The Callaghans are a family of Slytherins, well, mostly at least. They are what you could call a stereotypical pureblood Slytherin family, and are known for looking down upon muggles and mud bloods. The adults teach the children to never associate themselves with those who aren't pure bloods. The children are also taught to uphold the family status. They are expected to become great wizards, and are to marry another pureblood to create a new generation of the family. How sad, really.
Khloe Callaghan
Kira's mother, Khloe Callaghan, was - and still is - a famous witch known for her power, strength, and position in the council of magic. During Khloe's time at Hogwarts, she was considered one of the brightest wizards of her age.
Khloe was - and still is - a strict mother. She raised Kira with many rules and restrictions, however that didn't stop Kira from being the person she is now. Kira resembles her mother's looks in many ways. They share the same eyes and facial structure, however Khloe's blonde hair is a huge difference to Kira's velvet black one.
Marcus Callaghan
Marcus is Kira's step dad, and having known him for basically all her life, she would at times forget that he wasn't her actual biological father. Marcus isn't exactly as great of a wizard as his wife, Khloe, but he was still decent at magic. He currently owns a potions shop located in Diagon Alley.
Nicky Callaghan
Nicky is Kira's loveable granny. Nicky was never stern towards Kira, unlike her parents. She had always given Kira the best advice, whether it be on how to cast great spells to making new friends, they had always been right. If only Kira had actually listened to the latter advice.
Jamie Callaghan
Jamie is Kira's biological father. Having disappeared the minute Kira was born, the Callaghans had never heard word of him again.

Background
Kira Jaye Callaghan was born into a wealthy pureblood family, who are known to have a deep hatred towards all things muggle. Khloe and Marcus Callaghan are her parents, Marcus being her step father. In the Callaghan household, it was just Kira, both her parents, and her grandmother, living in the ancient - yet polished - mansion. Days in the mansion were always lonely for Kira, as her parents were usually busy with work, her grandmother was out doing who knows what, and Kira was an only child, thus, having no siblings to play with. To pass all the long and lonely hours, Kira found herself delving into magic books from her mother's private reading room, reading about magic's history and slowly learning spells. Her mother did later on find out about this, and took it upon herself to teach Kira as much as she could.
Personality
An ambitious and witty girl is what most would describe Kira as. Her ambition is what likely got her sorted into the Slytherin house, while her wit and cunningness probably helped with that too. Kira is inventive, her mind quick to come up with almost anything. She's also quite humorous, however her humour was what one might call sarcastic. She's also curious, quite stubborn, and a tad bit rebellious against rules. Growing up, Kira didn't exactly have much friends, as she would rather read her many books than start a conversation with a stranger. She would attempt to start a conversation with someone at times, however it would usually end up as a failure after a few exchanged words with the other person. Kira wasn't exactly classed as rude or mean, - except when she was in a foul mood -, she was simply disinterested and had a habit of speaking her mind. She may at times come off as cold and possibly heartless at times, but don't worry, she isn't.

She is skinny, with long locks of strawberry blonde hair that reaches down to her slim waist. She has a pair of clever turquoise eyes, small, pink lips, and rosy cheeks that are prominent against her oddly pale complexion.
One thing people do not know about Kira, save for her family of course, is that her seemingly natural blonde hair is actually a velvet black in disguise. Ever since the age of 2, the Colour Change charm is something her parents would always cast on her to hide the black of her hair. Kira never knew the real reason as to why they did it. Not until the morning she was to go to Hogwarts. They had told her the story behind it, and the reason why she had to hide her real hair colour. And so her mother taught her the Colour Change Charm, so Kira could change her hair on her own, for when the charm wears off.
