PRE HOGWARTS

He was born to Sean and Katlin DeRook. Both wizard parents, both Slytherin Alumni and both Aurors. They worked with Kyle endlessly to try and get his magic to
manifest but it never did, eventually, they began to think he was a squib and they gave up on him, this just pressuring him to try even harder to not let them down. Then during a fateful day in a junkyard late in his ninth year, his magic manifested and him and his parents couldn’t have been more excited as they eagerly awaited his letter from hogwarts

When the time came both of his parents went with him to get his supplies, making sure he had the best of everything needed. And while he was happy his parents were excited he never cared for the doting and preferred a more rough and tumble life style over the cushy one they wanted to provide. At the end of their shopping while his mother was distracted his dad pulled him aside and gave him a silver snake with an emerald eye on a chain. For his future slytherin, he said.

There were hugs and kisses and I love you’s and a final embarrassing straightening of his hair then it was onto the hogwarts express and to hogwarts. The train ride was unremarkable and he just grew more and more tense as time went on as he awaited finding out what house he would be in.

YEAR ONE

Finally, the time came as he sat in the grand hall, the hat called him up. It looked inside and it deemed him worthy of a house. Just not the house him or his parents wanted. The sorting hat deemed Kyle a Gryffindor. While initially excited to be a good house it dawned on him more and More the disappointment it would be when his parents saw him in the red and gold.

After getting to the common room and finding a bed it was time to resort to what he did best in times of distress. Act out. So he began to look for ways to get into trouble or wreak alittle chaos to distract himself from his worries.

During his first year, Kyle mostly got into trouble, started a few fights, got detention and did his best to alienate anyone and everyone near him as he stewed in anger from being sorted into "the wrong house" and his recent blood curse. Despite his best efforts though one person in particular got through his barrier and managed to connect with him and even learned his Secret. This person was a fellow first year named Marla Quinlan.

YEAR TWO

Filled with a determination not to let his magical talent and his time at Hogwarts to go to waste Kyle was determined to have his Second Year matter. He hit the ground running and Tried out for the Quidditch team, not only as a Beater but for the position of Captain as well. And to his surprise, he got the Position. Ready to make up for his wasted first Year he set about doing everything he could to make his Team the best it could be, and Impress his Deputy Captain. Marla.
