History/Background Story:

Bailey Shea was born 02/15/2007. His mother died in childbirth and he was taken in by his father and paternal grandparents. His mother being an orphan and no real guardianship, had no connections, family or knew of her birth parents. His father from a wealthy high-class background had worked a lot in the family business while Bai's grandparents stayed home with him. Bailey was an only child and from birth was brought up to be a proper and mannered young man. There were high expectations placed upon him after his fathers' mishap with getting his mother pregnant at a young age. So Bailey was raised with a firm and strict hand, with private tutors and lessons to keep the boy preoccupied.

The Shea family weren't very affectionate or sociable people. They had their gatherings and parties where they would mingle and talk to clientele and other business folk but no one they truly called a friend. Since the employees of the house did all the shopping and taking care of outside tasks, Bai never had a chance to really step out into town. His family overly protective of him or at least that is how he saw it, never let him venture further than the estate's gates that surrounded the property. Bailey learned quickly to become independent and entertain himself, as his family didn't spend too much quality time together and he hadn't had anyone to play with. His nanny did tend to him but was told not to coddle or dote on the boy so he wouldn't become spoiled. He never wanted for anything materialistically, but he never really asked for anything either.

Bailey's magical abilities started to take effect in subtle ways around the age of 4yrs old. His fear of the dark would cause his bedroom door to open to allow the hallway light's to flood into his room. His fear of loud noises would turn down the sound to the turntable. Whenever he was scared or really bored, weird things began to happen. Small but still noticeable. Bailey's father and grandparents were so proud the day Bailey received his letter.

Appearance: Fragile and small. Bailey is shorter than most boys his age. He is lean and scrawny. Bailey is quick on his feet and shows full confidence in his composure and mannered posture. He is, however, normally frightened.

A gate surrounds the property for extra security against others and protection for others. Secluded in an area surrounded and protected by woods for unwanted wandering eyes. The grounds, a plethora of lush greens and a garden compacted with a stream and greenhouse edge the back left of the property. A hedge maze taking up most of the backyard to help as well with security from trespassers. The hedges magically embued to stop them. A family mausoleum that leads down into a crypt centers the hedge maze and though it is filled with family treasures and secrets, it is also embued with dark magic and dangerous magical creatures. Bailey swore he thought he saw his mother once when he got too close and was too afraid to confirm his suspisions. The land is soaked in magic, both good and bad and enforced with magical spells and protection charms to keep them protected and to keep others out.

Kyler Mendal - First meeting upon the train. Kyler won over Bailey instantly with his offer of brownies made by his mother. Sweets being one of Baileys weaknesses and the fact the boy allowed him to practically hang on him and be close the entire ride and heading off the train. They rode the boats together towards the castle and though Mendal was fearless or so it seemed, Bailey couldn't help but feel concern for his new friend. Afraid the boy may be too fearless for his own good. He vowed to stick beside him from that very day and was overly pleased that they got into the same house.

Astoria Middleton - Bailey quickly knew Astoria and he would get along while trying to gather the pygymy puffs from the common room, not just once but twice. Being housemates, he was more comfortable with his own house then all the others. With the frequent encounters, not only in the common room but also the library, it was hard not to find it coincidental. They were meant to be friends. He admires her confidence and excitement about the things she enjoys, such as, reading and helping others.

Personal Possessions from Home
Security Blanket - The only thing Bailey has from his mother. It was the blanket she had given the nurses to wrap him in as an infant before she passed away. Bailey treasures this blanket and sleeps with it every night. It has calmed him ever since he was a baby.

Teddy Bear - The only sentimental gift receieved by his father. Bailey had come down with a cold and his security blanket had been lost momentarily. He would not sleep, eat or do anything without the blanket and he was getting more ill everyday. His father purchased this bear in hopes it would calm Bailey. The blanket was found the very next day but Bailey treasures the bear and like the blanket, sleeps with it every night.

Magical Toothbrush - A toothbrush bought by his Grandmama from the leaky cauldron. She will brush your teeth, and harass you if you try to escape. It's to ensure his teeth is always brushed because hygiene is very important to the Shea family.
