Backstory: Jade Murphy is a kind and happy girl.  She's a bit of a bookworm and loves nature, except spiders, she hates spiders.  Jade was born in Ireland however she moved to England when she was seven.  She really misses Ireland and all the people there. The kids in England teased Jade and called her a freak, but she learned to defend herself and how to get revenge. They stopped quickly, but when there are adults around they still spite her and get her into trouble.  

How her magic surfaced: Jades magic first surfaced when she was three, she had been climbing a tree when her foot slipped and knocked a birds nest off its branch.  She reached down to try and grab it but it was too far away, she closed her eyes expecting to her the crunch of the eggs breaking.  But it never came, she opened her eyes to see the nest floating in mid-air, using her foot to guide it she floated it back to its branch.  The parents saw the whole thing and Jade was able to approach and feed them (something she had been trying to do for many years) from then on.  

More info: After her magic surfaced Jade became very interested in birds and took to studying them, one of her hobbies that thrived in Winchester. Though she did miss her friends in Ireland at least she'd be closer to Hogwarts, which she had been looking forward to going to ever since her magic surfaced.  When the letter from Hogwarts came Jade literally Jumped up and down till her parents told her to sit down and read it.   Jades first day at Hogwarts was full of excitement, and confusion as she had expected to be in Ravenclaw, but the hats always right so in Hufflepuff she will stay.

Personality: Jade is Shy and kind, though once she gets to know someone she relaxes a bit and becomes a bit sassy and goofy. She will always defend herself, her friends and her family both physical and with words. One of Jades sayings is "Don't waist kindness on those who abuse it, only use wisdom on those who understand it, never stoop to their level of rudeness, always show them a level of kindness"
