Prehistory
Reducio"In a small port town on the northern coast of Ireland, there lived a little blonde girl named Finley McGill. Her name was rather fitting for a port town, and that was the family joke around the house. The eldest sister of three children (one middle boy, Sanders and one baby girl, Adele), Finley decided to take on many responsibilities for her family at a young age, and it was no wonder that her mother called her "a housewife at the age of ten". Her mother appreciated her work, especially since her father was outside the house many days a year, being the Muggle-Born wizard he was.
Her father was home for a weekend when he began to notice some wonderfully characteristic signs. Little things began to move in the room where the girl was in, such as a glass filled with water moving mere inches and the curtains flying shut when Finley was tucking Adele into bed. Her father watched from afar and took note of these sights, and one day, he decided to alert her of her magical potential. Little Finley was ecstatic, but she was never one for freak out. She struggled to hold in her laughter. She was a witch!
In the springtime, the letter came and her excitement only grew. Eventually, she said farewell to her small port town and was whisked off to Hogwarts."

First Year"Finley's First Year escapades have been going rather smoothly for her, we've heard, and she's made many new friends, including Dinara Lucey...she said she was a little too kooky for her, and...uh...Alexx Helm, a fun second year, Desdemona O'Sullivan, another nice girl, n' a few others she's never named. I found it odd that they were all girls, though. All the negative interactions she's had with ONLY boys haven't gone too well, especially when it comes to Daniel Weaver, some snarky boy who took advantage of her, Remy Alto, another bully who messed with her on the ice, and Henry Reed, who pestered her in History of Magic. She also's written n' said that this other Slytherin girl (Erin Ryan) was mean to her too. She said something about her and having to hug a teddy bear? But so far, her favorite adventure has by far been the Blossomfest Ball, she told us. She's always been a girl for humble dresses and a spot of fun!"- Finley's mother, discussing a letter Finley wrote back to her family.
