She was graced with her mother's bright blue eyes. But they aren't a natural shade of blue, their more complex than that. When the sun's rays shine onto her face her eyes sparkle. At times when her mood is dark, her eyes deepen to almost a light gray color. Her large almond shaped eyes are framed by naturally full eye lashes, that give her an angelic appearance. A simple nose, and average shaped lips fill out the rest of her facial features. A slight sprinkle of freckles brush across her face. All of this is framed by a mass of long blonde hair, that she died an even lighter ice white color before the beginning of term. She didn't get either of her parent's height, nor build. Blaire is quite short for her age, and rather small, she's the runt of her family's litter. With her pale complexion one would almost think her sickly.

She does carry herself quite well though, almost with an over-abundance of confidence. Blaire speaks with a proper English accent, just like her mother's side. Blaire prides herself in having good posture, something gained from many years of ballet training. One can almost always find her dressed quite plain, typically in a neutral colored outfit.

Blaire was raised mainly by a nanny, her mother choosing to act like she didn't have a third child still at home. Due to this, she doesn't quite know how to accept affection, nor how to give out any. She can be quite cunning when she wants something. The word 'No' just isn't in her vocabulary. One might call her a spoiled brat, but she was never taught any better. There aren't any children close to her family home, and since she was home schooled (up until leaving for Hogwarts) she isn't quite sure what the proper etiquette is with people her own age.

Despite all of this, Blaire really does want to make friends. She can recall some of her sister's stories from when they attended Hogwarts. It seemed like they were always telling about some shenanigan them and their friends had gotten into. Blaire is loyal to those that she holds dear, and would do anything for someone she trusts. Though, that circle is small for the time being. It's always been hard to get past the outer layer with Blaire. She can come off as quite assertive, and demanding at times.

Blaire has always been curious about the world around her. She can typically be found with her face in a book. She's like a sponge, always eager to soak up other people's knowledge. Blaire thinks she's like her mother in this aspect. Her mother was quite bright, and clever in her youth. If she had to aspire to be like one person when she grows up, she might choose her mother. Depending on the time of day...

Theo Newton and Beatrice Turner both met while attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Their love blossomed from a carefree friendship, into a whirlwind relationship. Theo came from a muggle family. Beatrice on the other hand, came from a family whose blood was rich with a magical heritage. The Turner family had some of the purest blood, and they prided themselves on keeping it that way.

When Theo announced his plans to Beatrice’s parents to wed their daughter, they weren’t pleased. But at the time they had no choice. Beatrice was pregnant with a baby girl, Bernadette. Rather than have the family name shamed with a baby born out of wedlock, they begrudgingly accepted the proposal. The couple was married at an intimate ceremony at the Turner manor. A few short months later they welcomed their first child into the world.

Life went on afterwards. The small family of three moved into a home in Cambridge where they could be close to both Theo and Beatrice’s families. Beatrice’s father got Theo a job at the Ministry of Magic, and Beatrice was left to raise a child at home alone. The love that had once grown strong between the young couple slowly began to fade. Theo spent long hours away from his wife and child. Beatrice hoping to give Theo a son, and possibly rekindle their marriage suggested they have another baby. Soon she gave birth to their second daughter, Tabby.

Not long after, Beatrice’s father fell terribly ill, and then left this world. Beatrice’s mother was grief stricken and growing old herself. She pleaded her daughter to move their family into the Turner manor. Theo allowed his wife and children to move away, staying behind in the city. The rift in their marriage growing larger. The years went by, their children growing just as rapidly. Beatrice began to spend her days in a stupor, tending to her mother, and then sleeping the days away. When she wasn’t sleeping, she was sneaking drinks to calm her nerves. The once gorgeous youthful woman now looked like she had aged 20 years. One gloomy afternoon, Beatrice was woken from a booze-soaked dream to learn that her mother had passed. Theo joined his family at the manor, to help with the preparations for the funeral.

With the family estate being left to the only living Turner heir, Beatrice inherited the manor, and all that came with it. They sold their home in the city and moved into the manor. A year later Blaire was born. Beatrice had already grown tired of the title ‘mother’ and left the care of her third child in the hands of others. Blaire was raised by her nanny, Gretchen, a kindly plump witch in her mid-50’s. Gretchen taught Blaire to think for herself, and to be a strong-willed independent child. Both of Blaire’s sisters were grown now, in their 20’s by the time Blaire turned 10. Both had moved off, Bernadette had already married, Tabby was out exploring the world on her own. Blaire never really had a strong relationship with either.

When Blaire was only 5, she had started showing early signs of her magical ability. Gretchen noticed that flowers seemed to blossom and grow when they would stroll through the garden. If Blaire grew angry, the weather would instantly shift and form a terrible storm outside. Once, when Blaire’s parents had been throwing a party downstairs, Beatrice had banned her daughter from coming down from her room. As Blaire stood on the landing starring down at the guests below in disdain, the grand chandelier came crashing down. It missed her mother by mere inches.

Theo Newton | Father | Occupation Unknown

Theo has never had a good relationship with any of his children. He has been absent for most of their lives, always gone 'working'. Blaire is still unaware what exactly her father does for a living. She does know he works at the Ministry of Magic, but that's it.

Theo married Beatrice at the young age of 18. Prior to settling down, he had at one point had hopes and dreams of living somewhere off the grid. He had at one point been interested in becoming a magizoologist. But those dreams were crushed when he was forced into a job he never wanted, to care for a family he accidentally started.

Theo is a rough man, in his late 30's he already has a head full of gray hairs. His once gleaming eyes, are now a dull lifeless color. He no longer finds joy in his home life, choosing to seek company elsewhere. Now when he looks at his wife all he feels is resentment.

Beatrice Newton | Mother | Unemployed

Beatrice was a beauty in her youth. The years though have not been kind to her appearance, nor her soul. Once upon a time, she had been full of hope and joy. She hoped to raise a loving family, full of laughter and happiness. Something her own childhood had lacked. Her parents had always been cold and distant. She wanted to change that, Beatrice had imagined herself to be different than her own mother.

That all changed though when her husband stopped loving her. The more they grew apart, the more she began to harden. She hated everything about her life. Hated that she was stuck at home, always having to care for the children. She didn't enjoy being a mother. Beatrice only found joy now in her cocktail glass.

Blaire at one point longed for a relationship with her mother. She had tried to please her, and show her some type of affection. But she quickly learned at an early age to avoid Beatrice. There is no maternal bone in Beatrice's body. She had always hoped to give her husband sons, to keep him happy and at home with her. Instead she feels she was cursed with daughters due to her messing up the blood lines in the Turner family.

Bernadette & Tabby Newton | Sisters | Occupations Unknown

Bernadette and Tabby are both much older than Blaire. They each attended Hogwarts, and were also in Slytherin like their youngest sister. Neither one were known for anything extraordinary. Bernadette took after their mother, and is quite gorgeous. Tabby has their father's athletic ability, and got the height in the family. Growing up, Blaire was never welcomed to spend time with them whenever they were home during school breaks. They looked down on Blaire, said she was just an annoying child.

Once they were old enough both girls moved away, leading separate lives far away from Turner manor. Tabby sent letters occasionally by owl, the last one was addressed from somewhere in Romania. Bernadette came back home once, only to get married on the grounds of the family's estate. As soon as the ceremony was done she was gone again.
