Wands with unicorn cores are generally the most difficult to turn to the Dark Arts. They are the most faithful of all wands, and usually remain strongly attached to their first owner, irrespective of whether he or she was an accomplished witch or wizard.

Minor disadvantages of unicorn hair are that they do not make the most powerful wands (although the wand wood may compensate) and that they are prone to melancholy if seriously mishandled, meaning that the hair may ‘die’ and need replacing.

Samantha has always been raised as a true noble, with protecting her citizens as the highest priority in life.

As a child she moved around a lot. Her father, Rex Albion, was murdered by a group of stray dark wizards when she was five. Her mother grew paranoid due to this event, and she eventually ended up being admitted to St. Mungo's hospital with a mental affliction.

Samantha had very few friends, especially anyone she could trust due to her noble background. Most people either wanted nothing to do with her, or tried to take advantage of her status.

After living like this for a few years she ended up isolating herself, focusing on her studies towards her acceptance into Hogwarts.
She studied every day for years, and for her age, has an impressive understanding of magical theory and fantastic beasts.

She had re-read Newt Scamanders book on magical beasts many times, and looks up to him as some sort of a role model. She admired that he was by no means very special, but due to his own interests and dedication ended up traveling the world and learning all sorts of things about magical beasts on his adventures.

Samantha's ambition for when she grows up is to become a traveling witch, helping those in need and learning everything she can regaring the wizarding world and it's many secrets.

Samantha isolated herself at an early age, due to circumstances involving her family.
Before her family started moving, she snuck into the treasure room and spent days and nights reading the texts that her family treasured, but seldom spoke of.

She was mesmerized by her family's history, and reading became her life.
After re-reading these texts dozens of times, she started asking for more books.
Although she couldn’t always understand the meaning behind some of the words, or their intention, she loved reading.

One of her favourite authors is Newt Scamander, and his book about Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
In her opinion the wizarding world didn’t pay enough attention to the many magical beings in their universe, and she felt they were often viewed as objects or tools, not as beings.

Samantha scoured their library, reading every book she found interesting.
Although she was fascinated by magic theory, and the history of magic she never understood why there was so much focus on the dark arts.
Ofcourse she knew that she grew up in a time of peace, and not in the dark ages of Grindelwald or Voldemort, she still couldn’t grasp it.
Protecting oneself was important, that much she could understand, but wouldn’t the world be better if everyone focused on spells and enchantments that could help evolve society, not attribute to war.

From reading and reflecting on the books she read, she found her ambition in life. Traveling the world, helping anyone along her way with magical inventions and implementations, alongside discovering new magical beings, and unraveling the secrets of the wizarding world.
