Appearance

Jay Victoria stands at 5 '9”, for those who might have seen them in their fourth year might realize how much they have dramatically grown throughout their fifth year. The most prominent feature includes their green hair that tends to messily fall onto their eyes. One might note how contradicting the lion might seem with a mane that is the color of the snake. Their Japanese heritage is seen in their almond shaped eyes, ever since the studying frenzy in fifth year for OWLS Jay has developed prominent eye bags.

Thick eyebrows are often in a furrowed expression, making Jay look somewhat intimidating. Despite their aloof expression Jay is quick to smile, revealing their slight tooth gap on their midline. On their left cheek there is a prominent scar earned from an accident in their fourth year. It could easily be removed with magic but Jay decides not to because ‘it adds personality’.

Personality & Reputation

Once renowned as a troublemaker, despite having grown so much, Jay's old reputation seemed to echo through the stone corridors of Hogwarts. The lionets once harmful prejudiced words washed away, now the underclassmen simply cowered away from the unruly lion.

Despite Jay's unchanging love for trouble, they have grown to be quite studious. The green haired Wix can often be found at the Hogwarts library, reading stacks upon stacks of books that may or may not even be quite relevant to their studies. If not stuffing their face with books, they could either be at the lake catching frogs, at the grand moving stairs observing, or in detention with a scowling Professor, and at times, a prefect.

Jay Victoria has certainly moved away from strong pureblood beliefs over time, although they have great distaste towards muggles they have become tolerant towards most muggle born peers. After six years at Hogwarts the Wix could only realize how absolutely vexatious the underclassmen were as a whole. If a frog or a rolling pet rock was around, it was best to stay alert for a certain green headed student for chaos would be ensured.

Boundaries for Jay were complicated, rather than the typical moral compass of good and evil there was a labyrinth of fun and boring in their mind. Their behavior has always been notorious for being unpredictable and oblivious to danger. Sleeping during a fire, sleeping through a train wreck, passing out on a quidditch field during a match, there was a prominent pattern there. Being cunning was a trait inherited from their guardian, it was unmistakable that Jay was a bold lion. Brave moments such as trying to help out in a fight usually ended with unfortunate consequences like stabbing an innocent bystander. They tend to do things that benefit themself, they are stubborn and hard to reason with hence the easily caused arguments.

Once in a comfortable position, Jay can be quick to talk. It was hard to determine if they would act hostile or cheerful towards another person. Through meeting more and more diverse individuals, Jay can slowly learn how to interact properly.

Measuring at 34.5cm, the sleek black walnut body adorned with silver detailing is certainly an elegant sight to see in comparison to the always half asleep messy haired Jay Victoria. A silver snake coils elegantly around the wand, the poised head resting at the hilt. The hilt itself has a silver coating to harmonize with the serpent, a perfect match for Jay's magic and certainly a great reflection of the Victoria family.

In the heart of a small forest nearby a peaceful town, raindrops and wind created a soothing symphony among the leaves as a woman leaned against a tree. Sickly and frail, the dying mother hummed a tune as she cradled her child. A man holding an umbrella almost stumbled upon the muddy ground as he urgently ran towards her. Their gaze met, the panic in his eyes instantly dissolving into the love that once was. He embraced her frail figure and the toddler in silence, and the wind became stronger. The wind was now a banshees wail, foretelling the fate she would meet.
“Ichiko...” the mother tenderly whispered with her last breath.
The mysterious man wept as the quiet and innocent toddler laid sheltered in his warm arms. This would be the end of a story and a new beginning for himself and the child.

The earliest memory Jane had was seeing two men argue at a distance, she sat on a chair swinging her legs. The two men were quite distinguishable, one of them was a foreigner speaking with a funny accent despite his angry expressions. Her memory after that was hazy...

Jane spent most of her childhood at an orphanage until the age of 7 in which she transfered to foster homes. For the longest time she wondered where she came from, Jane couldn’t help but to feel different. Even her name was different for it was the only foreign name amongst the others.

In less than a year later, a mysterious yet familiar man with an umbrella suddenly appeared in her bedroom. The entire ordeal was rather chaotic for the 7 year old to understand, another person burst through the door and the umbrella opened in attempts to protect her. It was then when Jane had finally realized that these two individuals were the same from that hazy memory a long time ago.

The two men broke out into a fight, it was rather mystical to witness for they used wands like as if they were wizards from fairy tales. The child realized the danger of the situation and in a panic she attempted to jump out of the window. In a swift motion, the umbrella man got a hold of Jane and did something extremely dangerous in which she would only comprehend later on. Before she knew it, Jane could feel herself become twisted until everything became blank.

As soon as her feet touched the floor, Jane found herself throwing up on a unfamiliar wooden surface. The umbrella man introduced himself to her and awkwardly attempted to comfort Jane in her state of confusion.

Jane was quick to learn about the wizarding world but was rather much more curious about the strange history behind her new guardian, Sir Victoria, and the other mysterious man whom Sir refused to elaborate about. Eager to understand english, Jane began to read a lot of books that laid around the manor. The entire Victoria family itself was extremely strange, a lot of members had apparently been criminals and others died in quite idiotic and questionable ways. In addition to having the awkward Sir Victoria as a father figure and books about the strange family history, there was a woman whom Jane would address as Lady Angelique. She was a frequent visitor who had a strong French accent, Jane liked her merely because she’d occasionally spoil her with clothing and teach her how to write.

Unfortunately, Jane was heavily burdened with a lot of strong beliefs. Being merely a child without much outside views, she had no choice but to follow the pure blood supremacist beliefs that ran in the Victoria family.

The life at Victoria Manor was rather lonely for the child, they did not have staff nor did Jane ever get any sort of babysitters. Her guardian always seemed to run off doing work and Lady Angelique tried to keep Jane quiet with presents.

In frustration, Jane set off to a secluded section of the manor full of books and threw a tantrum which resulted in accidentally setting a stack of books aflame. Lady Angelique was incredibly furious whilst Sir Victoria displayed excitement and joy at the new wizard addition to the family. Although Jane was looking forward to learning wizardry, she was bombarded by even more lectures about the well known schools such as Hogwarts.

Upon receiving a letter to Hogwarts, the path that this troubled child would create was unmistakably going to be full of chaos.

Joseph Enoux Valentine Victoria

Joseph grew up in the Victoria manor located in London, England. He graduated from Hogwarts as a Slytherin and immediately continued the family business rather than pursuing further education for a proper career. At Hogwarts he was always considered a flirtatious type, he was also known for getting banned from the duelist team in his fifth year. Despite being betrothed to Angelique LeBlanc who was attending Beauxbaton, Joseph tried to date others which included an older Hufflepuff named Chiyoko Nakamura. After Hogwarts the two broke up due to Chiyoko moving away to Japan on a ‘self discovery’ adventure, she ended up marrying another pureblood man and had a child. Bitter and heartbroken, Joseph reluctantly allowed Angelique to enter his life.

After a few years from parting with Chiyoko, he received a concerning letter from her. In a panic, he traveled to her town and found her in a sickly state holding her child. Unfortunately, she was far too sick and passed away during the encounter. Joseph saved the child and found the father, the two men had a lot of heated arguments over the child for a while.

Once Joseph went back home to continue a unfinished job, he was sent to Azkaban for a year under the suspicion of murdering Jeffery Gray, employee at the Ministry of Magic and elder brother of @Lily Gray. Joseph was released when a breakthrough in the case realized he was not the killer. He had to expand the family business to more mundane matters such as transporting basic goods after his brother, James, left the family. He felt somewhat uneasy after getting out of Azkaban and felt like he needed to do something without gaining attention.

Joseph eventually went back for the child to gain custody, he brought back home Jane Victoria (now known as Jay) and tried his best to raise them. As an awkward man who was never of an emotional family type, he often traveled for different jobs which annoyed his adoptive child very much. Angelique was mostly the one to provide most emotional support.

In merely the first year Jay attended Hogwarts, Joseph went on the run for making a particular family angry during an under the table business deal. He came back in Jays fourth year.

Angelique grew up around her grandfather, Oliviere, he was a strict man who was very vocal and traditional with his pureblood beliefs. As a half breed Veela, Angelique grew up with a lot of expectations in order to gain acceptance from her grandfather. A strange tradition within the LeBlanc and Victoria family had her and Joseph Victoria betrothed, he very much disagreed with it and Angelique would try to act indifferent. Once they both had graduated from their respective schools, she became much more persistent in what she believed was their family duty.

Like her mother, Angelique attended Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. Angelique was seen as a rather fierce student with much attitude. She absolutely hated her Veela heritage despite Veela blood being normalized at the academy. For most of her teen and young adult years, Angelique dyed her hair black in order to not only change an aspect of her Veela heritage but to stand out from her family in general.
Taking the family business in a different direction, Angelique became a real estate agent for wizards in the UK and France. She was often traveling due to the nature of her job but once Jay Victoria entered the family she slowed down with her job in order to give proper care to Jay. Angelique became emotionally softer, she did not quite understand how a motherly role worked so she ended up spoiling JV with gifts and (horribly) boring lectures.

✿ This marks the start of a different branch of LeBlancs. Edouard simplified his name to simply be Leblanc as it was much more common. He moved away from the main family to build a new reputation for himself. This branch eventually leads to @Koko Riddle
- Although most of the Victoria family were Slytherin, being sorted into Hufflepuff wasn’t unheard of.
- Due to various factors of being unable to have a child, it was normalized to adopt a child as long as they were pureblood.

VICTORIA

”Vince et victoriam iterum atque iterum”

The latin motto means, “Conquer and victory, again and again,”. This phrase has been used for centuries, even prior to the Victoria name change in which they were known as the house of Vincereou.

The Vincereou have been around for centuries, their rise to fame began when family members started to attend Hogwarts. They were known as Slytherin sorted scholars who became professors and travelers with highly respected statuses. Eventually they began to have rivalries which led to great use of darker magics and much more violent mindsets in general. Those who bore the name of Vincereou would stop at nothing to be known as the best in their profession. The motto represented the power they had, generations of victories and wealth. They believed that each generation was simply a greater reincarnation of the past and that the Vincereou were a never ending cycle hence the reason why the family emblem consists of a lindwyrm wrapped around a wand, eating its own tail.

The power and infatuation with the dark arts came to a downfall once the Azkaban prison was established for detention. Rampant family members were quick to get caught and jailed, over the years rival families began to notice their weakening numbers and decided to attack the Vincereou. As a result, one man was left with his only daughter, running into hiding with hopes of staying alive. The man adopted two other pureblood children to raise as his own due to the loneliness he felt. When his three children came of age, they each received their letters to Hogwarts and began a journey that would change the family history forever. The eldest of the three by merely a few months, Jane, suggested having a simpler name change that was not only much more fashionable for the time period but also kept hints of the family origins.

There were countless books in the Victoria manor that held the stories of Jane Enzo Victoria, Richard Genvieve Victoria, and Lisa Ambrosia Victoria. They grew into scholars who turned towards business amongst the wizarding world, in a way, they restored the long lost values the Vincereous had with academics in comparison to dark violence. Richard fell in love with a french pureblood, Anabelle LeBlanc, together they started a trading business between France and the United Kingdom for a variety of wizarding goods. Jane turned their business into a front for much darker trades such as artifacts.

Jane Victoria had three children in which she gave to Richard and his wife to care for, the married couple were unable to have children and were happy to oblige. It seemed that what marked Jane's descent to madness was bearing children. She quickly diverted away from her family to pursue the dark arts, she became extremely selfish and rather dauntless when it came to her magical capabilities. After plenty of skirmishes and running away from authority, Jane died in attempts to destroy her siblings.

The family continued to expand their business to the point where the family became notorious for absolutely bizarre deaths across the world. The lengths they went to travel and obtain artifacts and such led to plenty of fights, curses, angry authorities, angry wizards, Azkaban, accidents, disappearances, and so on.

It wasn't until the early 1900s in which the Victorias became quiet, a new system was made in the business which consisted of yearly private auctions. Those who were active in the black market inner circle would know they were doing just fine. Outsiders believed that they might have been struggling financially which was to a certain extent true if considered that they did not have as much wealth as they once had. Their name still had a strong reputation despite rumours and secrecy.

The most notable current member is Joseph Victoria, his whereabouts are hard to establish and is considered quite spontaneous. His brother, James, left the family to marry a muggle and has been unheard of since.

House Victoria
A lindwym eating its own tail is a representation of ouroboros, the idea that each generation is a endless cycle of reincarnation. The three loops similar to a triquetra are meant to symbolize the first three who bore the name of Victoria, Jane, Richard, and Lisa. The original crest used for Vincerou consisted of multiple wands and various intricate loops similar to a dara knot. The usage of green and snake/wyrm imagery is a reference to the strong lineage of Slytherin students. The origin of the wand design is unknown, it is rumored that it might have been the wand of a powerful Vincerou. Green- Rebirth, immortality, trickery. Purple- Power, ambition, pride. Black- Fear, elegance. Silver- Purity. Silver is a nod towards the ancient origins of the Vincerou, it is believed that the oldest crests included silver tipped arrows of Artemis instead of the wands.
