There is only one thing that Remy loves to do more than showcasing his wit, and that is showcasing his quite the impressive ego! Remy Alto has a bit of a mean streak and some people see him as a bully. He himself would like to call himself just a plain realist. He is sly and maybe a bit too cocky for his good. He is a prime example of a sore loser.

Don't mistake him for some kind of a demon though, he does have a conscience. He'll often say things he doesn't mean and regret it later, but if you look past his occasional foolishness you'll see a true gem inside, for he is loyal and affectionate towards his friends. You could call him a bit too rowdy. Remy likes to lead more than follow but doesn't have a problem staying out of the spotlight.

He's prone to making a bit too snarky and 'honest' remarks. Especially when he's angry, he loses all his filter and will not sugarcoat anything. He is not afraid of getting under someone's skin. He is known to dislike authority (especially when it is used wrong) and he'll fight when something is not right in his opinion. He clearly voices his opinion at all times, like it or not.

He is known to be mischievous and using the aforementioned wit of his to play pranks on people and mess with them. He's a bit whiny when it comes to academics and that is the reason why he's always seen distracted and planning how he's going to take over the world.

It is a challenge to silence his curious nosy soul. You'll get along with him very well if you are not sensitive, just as reckless and fun as him. He does not mind a bit more eccentric people! As long as you are able to present him with something fun to do, he will accept you (although you will get occasionally teased). Don't be fooled by is venomous words and crossed arms, he's a big softie inside who loves attention and being doted on. He values people who are not afraid of a challenge. Challenge him into a competition, he's extremely competitive!

Despite his occasionally harsh words and cold behavior, he's a good and empathetic listener. He'll give you a shoulder to cry on, albeit a bit begrudgingly. He too has his own insecurities and will push you away if you're too intrusive. If you let him breathe, he'll eventually get more comfortable, used to you and more open.

Appearance

Remy stands at 160cm tall, meaning that he's awkwardly tall for his age and often towers over people his age. He could easily blend in with the 3rd and 4th years. He has a slender build, his legs being a bit longer than his torso, creating an effect that he is even taller what he actually is. He has porcelain white skin that turns into a healthy peach when he spends time under the sun. He has straight but untameable hair. Remy's eyes are black and almond shaped with a small crease over them. This makes his stares a bit menacing when you add in his strong eyebrows. His nose and lips are very delicate, balancing off his more masculine traits.

Remy has his earlobes pierced and likes to wear dangly things on his ears, other than that he hates any accessories. He often wears either eye contacts or his round specs with thin golden rims to help him see.

II. History

Remy Alto was born in São Paulo, 22nd of June to his mother Belladonna Alto and his father, Luca Chen. She is a half-blood witch, father is a squib. Remy grew up with 6 brothers and 1 sister and grew not getting that much attention from his parents due to how busy they were. The effect of this is often seen these days as Remy seeking attention from elsewhere by messing around and teasing people.

His father was a creative writing teacher, mother part of the all-female witch band The Swingin' Chimaeras. His mother was in charge of writing lyrics for the band and enrolled in a creative writing course. Lo and behold, the two of them bonded over their love of arts and balancing the muggle world and wizarding world. Remy lived side by side with muggles, most of his days of him just playing either soccer or his mom's electric guitar. He grew to love those two hobbies he had and even considered following his mother's footsteps. He attended a muggle school in Brazil from years 1-2, learning the ropes of the muggle world.

He never liked his muggle school. It was a strictly Roman Catholic school run by nuns that had their own ideas of fun that clashed with Remy's ideas. He developed a love for pranking, rebelling and horsing around right there. He'd often dream about his future in Castelobruxo. Free from harsh punishments and boring subjects. Remy would often wreak havoc in his school, knowing that whatever happened in here wouldn't matter in the end. In the end, he'd have to leave this place anyway.

His dreams of studying in Castelobruxo just like his mother did, were shattered when his family moved to Derry, NH. His mood was very down for a long period of time. He'd just sit in his room for long periods of time, playing his guitar and being abnormally quiet. He still struggles with adapting to the culture, even if it has been 2 years since they moved across the continents, He hasn't dropped off the accent from Brazil and still rolls his r's like someone who speaks Portuguese as his native language would. When he received his Hogwarts letter, he wasn't particularly excited. He just found it a natural step forward in his life. He got sorted into Slytherin, which he is indifferent about. He does not believe that a house defines who he is.

➺He teaches creative writing and has produced some of his own books. Most of them are novels for young adults. Married to Belladonna Alto and has 8 children with her. He's a squib from a half-blood family himself. His knowledge of the magical world is more limited.
