Erik Tharaldson is a mischievous, cunning, silver tongued and troublesome boy who always seems to get himself in some nasty situations, but never seems to draw on the short end of things as he uses his family's name and status. When that's not enough he uses his wits and his charming personality to stay ahead of any repurcussions. Despite all of this Erik is hard to read as he always keeps his facial expressions under control. A trait he has picked up from his father. He loves to manipulate people and his surroundings to get what he wants.

Erik has blond hair as most of the Scandinavian populace, but his most iconic feature are his venomous green eyes that seem to keep their glow no matter the presence or absence of light.
His appearance can be described as cute by his peers and fellow eleven year old girls.

Erik was born in Norway's oldest city in the midst of a feud between two old and powerfull rivaling wizard families that both lay claim to have been the first settlers of the city. These two families feud started with these claims, but they soon grew tired of all the endless fighting and prepared a marriage to join the blood of both houses so they could live in peace and prosperity as both families had power and wealth. A woman of house Tharaldson would marry and carry children of a man of house Jordahl. Both were married and the wedding night followed. Both families were waiting untill the bride and groom would emerge from their bedchambers, but nothing of the sort happened. Tired of the waiting house Jordahl stormed inside the bedchamber only to find the bride and groom to be killed. Enraged by this both houses accused the other of this heinous act and what formerly seemed as a spark of a feud quickly became a blazing torrent. On that day both families were nearly exctinct. This day went into history as the Massacre of Oslofjord.

Erik has learned from a young age that he is far above the status of other so called wizards. Especially those who are not pure of blood. Used to getting his way he one day found himself on the balcony of his families mansion whilst his older brother, Sigefrid, had taken away his favorite toy. Keeping it safely out of the reach of Erik's shorter arms forcing him to jump. Frustrated by his own helplesness with his brother's behaviour magic shot forth from his hands. The magic hit Sigefrid right in the chest sending him flying over the railing of the balcony. An accident for sure, but an accident by which his family recognised Erik as a wizard.
