Background

A descendant of a long line of wizards from her father's side, December Faust is the first witch from her family line in the northern part of Edinburgh, England. She has been looking forward to carving her path as the first female witch of her family and she always spires to do her best. She comes from a small family of four, her father and brother accomplished accountants (both alumnae of Hogwarts, Gryffindor & Hufflepuff respectively) and her mother is a prolific writer in the Muggle world (her focus of writing in American History & Literature). After an incident where the books seemed to take a life of their own and fly off of the bookshelves in a small bookstore in northern Edinburgh, her family was thrilled to discover that she was a witch. The store keep was not as excited to find his books scattered in places that December could not even reach, although he still believes that a strong gust simply caused his bookshelves to explode.

Year One

After being sorted as a Slytherin, December has had the equivalent to an identity crisis for an eleven year old. She is currently working through her feelings of discomfort, as well as her need to be in a house that reflects on her personality. She is finding it hard to fit in with her fellow classmates, although she is looking forward to making friends in her own house. She finds herself often afraid of the upperclassmen due to her shy nature. She tends to find herself in the quieter side during socialization periods or in classes, but she is working on being more confident and letting her voice be heard.

Apperance

December's hair is a bright red, and seems to be messy no matter what way she tried to tie it. She has strikingly blue eyes that she has inherited from her father and a rounder, more childlike face similar to her mother. Her skin is pale and she tans extremely easily which is why she often avoids stepping out during the day. She has a small scar that sits on her lower back, although she rarely shows it or talks about it. She is very friendly and believes the best in people, even though it may be hard to get to know her due to her naturally introverted nature. She enjoys literature, history, as well as fall and winter.

Personality

December always looks forward to making new friends, although her naivete may get the best of her. She loves spending her time surrounded by books or by good company, and spends most of her time outside the fall and winter outside. She currently runs a language blog where she teaches the general audience to read and write formal English, and aspired to be a well known traveler and writer in the future (similar to her mother). She tends to dislike people who come off sarcastic, mean or otherwise rude. She has a very sensitive nose, so she tends to avoid strong smells or gross smells, because they often give her a headache. She particularly does not enjoy it when she tans.
