Personality: To the common eye, Rosa might seem almost like an isolated stuck up rich kid. She's instinctive, cold, and quiet, almost always busying herself with one thing or another. She doesn't speak often, if at all. Most probably haven't heard her voice unless it was maybe one or two words. Her aura was very standoff-ish as if one wrong move would set her off. But she never did. Whatever she endured was handled with an air of feigned elegance. Internally her mind is always racing, a track ran by horses with thundering hooves, yet her face is still unyielding to whatever she feels. Reading her is not an easy task, as her face is always blank, void of emotion. It's her voice that reveals her worries, which is probably another reason why she doesn't often speak. She is not an easy nut to crack. Getting her to befriend her is a long process, one of which very few have achieved. She opens up slowly and with caution, one wrong move, a single flinch, and she'll close up again like a morning glory in the deadest hour of the night. This doesn't mean she's unwilling, she's just a bit untrusting or suspicious. She doesn't want to place her trust in those who don't deserve it, or someone who might betray her. Overall, she's- ironic to her name, really- a single pale rose that refused to bloom.

Bio: Rosamarry Kalicc was born to a sweet woman and stone man in their quite large Reading, England home on September 26th, 2007. According to her father, she was a very quiet baby. So much so that it worried them at first. She quickly grew out of that though, she was always filling the home with sound, always getting into some sort of trouble. Rosa was a very lively child, to say the least. Despite her parent's attempts to dress her as a proper little girl, she somehow always got herself dirty or covered in dirt. While her father wasn't completely fond of this nature, as a young girl should be preparing to be a proper young lady, but her mother absolutely adored her sweet angel of a daughter. Rosa's parents differed in a lot of senses, Layla, her mother, was a very soft affectionate woman, while she was graceful and beautiful, as a woman should be, she was also fun, and willing to get her hands dirty. That's not to say she was ignorant or anything of the sort, she was actually very smart and could use her words like a weapon. A true Gryffindor, though one that could easily pass as a Ravenclaw. She could almost always be found cooking or tending to the garden. Her father Riven, on the other hand, wasn't so soft. He was usually cold and blunt, not thinking much of the wellbeing of others when acting. He was a Ravenclaw. Though he always did have a soft spot for Layla, that much was obvious. Layla had been asked time and time again what drew her to Riven of all people. But that doesn't matter to her, she knows his soft side.
Layla was wrong about him though. When Rosa was just barely 2 years old, the secret was out. An affair between Riven and another lady had lead to the woman being deemed pregnant with Riven's child. Layla was outraged and felt betrayed by her husband. But they had no choice but to bring the child in (much to Rosa's distaste). Layla treated him as if she had given life to him herself, she became his mother. The child was named Jacob Kalicc, and at the young age of 3 months old, he was named to be the future heir of the Kalicc Manor in Rosa's place.
Despite this and how Rosa felt towards the new younger brother at first, he quickly grew on her, she came to care about him deeply. No doubt to how attached to the child she was. Rosa would- or at least try to- do everything with Jake. Pulling him around the garden in a wagon, eating with him. Some nights she would even try to sneak into his room to sleep with him in his crib. Layla wasn't amused by this, constantly chasing Rosa back into her own room down the hall in the odd hours of the night.
Rosa never did truly learn the origins of Jake or how he came to be apart of the family, but she did know that whatever it was, it had severed her parent's marriage. They never divorced though, at least not for their children's sakes.
Even though, there was always joy amongst the Kalicc family. Layla always liked to entertain Rosa and Jake with small illusionary spells, so they grew up surrounded by it. It amazed Rosa, pulling her closer to the magical world than to the muggle world, to much of Riven's distaste. Like he had been raised, he wanted to introduce them first to the great things the muggle world had to offer in the terms of business. He never understood how a child's brain worked, as he would easily become frustrated when the young girl would wander off. Layla had to remind him many-a-time to be patient with them. She was only the young age of 4, after all, what sorts of things about business is she supposed to learn at that age anyway? Toy dealing? Sandbox real estate? Crayon marketing? It was silly, truly. Although his attention did seem to be reflected more towards Jake, he was to be the future heir after all. He might have only been a child but it's never too early to learn... right? Jake was similar to Rosa in their wonder of magic, but Riven was much more stern about regulation with the younger boy. When she was old enough to, Rosa began homeschooling, being taught by Layla. A year later Jake began the same teachings. This was, for the most part, very smooth.
That leads us to the date of November 8th, 2015, when tragedy struck the Kalicc family. Of course, everyone knew that Riven was a businessman, and sometimes even dabbled in business he shouldn't. He had often found himself in trouble or even have gotten hurt because they were in relation to him. Unfortunately, death came to none other than Miss Layla Kalicc in the evening of this fall night, where she was shot and killed while out shopping with her children. It was no lie that the family had already possessed a few cracks and breaks, but this event completely shattered the Kalicc household. The home became stagnant, and their father became stone. The once bright and maybe even semi-chaotic home became quiet, and damp, like a candle that had been snuffed out. Riven was more concerned with Jake than anything. The loss of his wife had broken the older man, his stern and heartless personality amplified. It never helped that Rosa looked so much like her mother, he couldn't handle it and forced himself to distance their already faltering relationship. Now mostly alone, Rosa became porcelain, growing quickly into the emotionless proper girl we know now. Her entire aura changed, definitely not for the better. She had lost her voice and courage, speaking rarely and burying herself in reading and basic household chores to keep her mind busy. With Riven rarely paying her piece of mind, Rosa became self-reliant.
When the time came for Rosa to be able to attend Hogwarts, Riven quickly rushed together all the materials and such needed for her to attend. Both Riven and Jake were almost sure that someone of Rosa's nature would have ended up as a Ravenclaw like her father, but the amount of surprise was lacking from the younger brother when he learned she was instead a Slytherin. Riven didn't seem to like it much though, to him, Slytherins were 'evil'. Which was strange seeing as he easily could have fit into that house himself. But she didn't care either way, she was away from home for the first time in years, which was all she really needed.

Fears: Although she'll never admit it to his face, Rosa's deepest fear would be the loss of her brother, Jake. She's also terribly afraid of most insects, especially spiders, and ironically, she also fears snakes.
Flaws: Her inability to open up and trust most people, her way of overthinking, and the way she refuses to ask for help, or accept it when offered.
Talents: Though she is young, she's good at most household tasks like cleaning and cooking, reads very quickly, and (I don't know if it's a talent, really) the way she can move without making much sound.
Likes: Silence, sweaters, snow, cold, warm blankets, the way clothes feel after being taken out of the dryer, clean/tidy areas
Dislikes: loud noises, arrogance, snakes, insects, hot weather
Appearance: Standing at a whopping 4'9", he's a much more slender girl than she was before, maybe even slightly underfed. Her fiery hair was always up or out of her face in some way, the most significant being a side braid. Her eyes didn't look as much like spring-lit leaves, more like a poisonous citrus, guarded, always focused on her surroundings. What used to be a small quirk in her thin lips was now pressed into an emotionless line. Her posture was very proper, back straight, shoulders back, hands crossed, feet together, and chin up; the whole bit. But that didn't stop the many many times she trips over herself or runs into people. Surprisingly though, most of her clothing belongs to her mother. Her father is always either too embarrassed, nervous, or forgetful of buying Rosa these sorts of things and has on multiple occasions just left her to her mother's clothes.
