๑’,~can't stress enough how quick kat will be when it comes to jumping to conclusions and picking fights. he's not a bully, and won't pick on people, that's for sure. he believes that he knows what is just, and what is not when it comes to that. but he is ready to defend his and his friend's opinions, and will try to sucker punch the other if they do bully anyone. it's a key character trait of his that he's violent.

curly locks that are often swept out of his face just to hang down again are set over a buzz cut. his eyebrows are thick set, an his eyes are even, not slanted. he has hazel eyes, both an earthy tone. his face is speckled with soft freckles, and his lips are a pale pink. he has small lips, and he doesn't entirely favor them. he has several moles running down his neck and over his back. he also gains acne easily down over his back, and sometimes on his neck.
he is usually seen with several patches and band-aids littering his body, the aftermath of foolish fights. sometimes he won't cover any up, and will come into class with open bruises and wounds.
kat likes to lazily put on his uniform, and doesn't really care for the outfit. though, he'll wear the winter cloak rather often.

the kosters lived in korea for a long time, together, happily. though, kat's father was enrolled in the army, so of course they couldn't stay for long. they both lived in jinhae-gu, with kat's mother being ji-ae kim, and his father being alex koster. ji-ae changed her name into jae koster, a more 'english' name for her husband's sake. jae koster, of course gave birth to her son kat koster.
kat grew up in korea until he was about six. he grew close to one girl from the old town, but he could never really remember her after that. he didn't miss that town, but the thought of the girl still nags him to this day.
it wasn't long before the family had to move again.
the couple was any average couple, subtract the magic, and they were sure that kat would be a fine child. but slowly, as kat grew, his parents began to fight over him, if he was going to be a 'normal human being,' as his mom put it, or a 'great wizard.'
kat disliked all the noise, and decided that his parents were rather stingy. a picky child, he pushed himself away from them, making minimal interactions.

kat grew up, in a small neighborhood when he moved into england. it was closely knitted, and he was honestly fine with that. though, because of the small area his home covered, he spent most of his time playing with the other children there. but once he learned to read, and got hold of some muggle history books, he was hooked and invested. he'd spend days cooped up in his family's small apartment, reading. eventually, he lost contact with all of the kids in his neighborhood, as well as his parents.
kat realized his father was in the army. he realized he couldn't grow close to anyone here, because he knew that he would, sooner or later, be moved away again.
and, kat was aware of magic, though he didn't care much about it at the time, until he got his letter. fantasies filled his head as he rode the train to the castle as he leaned over to press his head against the window of his cart.
kat, of course, was sorted into slytherin. he's hesitant to make any connections, for the small fear that he will lose them.
