Ah, there's more to Anton than anything.
Born to a set of well-off parents, the boy was an only child. Born and bred to set his own path, he found home in Ravenclaw upon his years in Hogwarts, with a taste of gaining more notoriety. Potions, to Anton, was special. He loved the thrill, the decisions, the habits. It was what pushed him to advance a Potion degree, doing self-study Alchemy at the sixth and seventh year level, and even taking his NEWTs in that, alongside his Potions one.
Anton's love of his craft pushed him to proceed to travel for several years, learning new ingredients and potions from around the whole world. Once he returned, he opened up an Apothecary shop in Dufftown, and sold home made potions, ingredients he grew, and all other sorts of equipment for those interested.
The only thing that Anton loves more than the power of creation is himself. Of course, he holds himself up to a grand respect, and will tell others of the same. It's different between being respectful for yourself, and to others, and then not to be respectful at all.
Anton is very blunt and to the point, but is equally very smart. He prefers hands on classes than book related classes, so expect getting hands dirty and even mistakes to happen. There's nothing wrong with failure, as long as you learn from the mistake.
