History: Helena Hooper had never really expected to work alongside the ministry, especially not with a muggle affairs coordinator. A muggle had accidentally stumbled across Helena's Snidget reserve, so Michael Montgomery was called in to erase the muggle's memory. He became enchanted with Helena, and the two got married two years later, much to Michael's parents dismay - they'd wanted him to marry into a higher-up wizarding family, not to run off with some absent-minded activist. Hestia was born in the same year and at once showed her mother's love for animals. The Montgomery family moved towards Oxford and into a small wizarding village. Although Hestia mainly kept to herself, she made fast friends with Leonard Constantin, the son of a Durmstrang graduate. Both of them were seemingly unaware that Leo would eventually go to study at Durmstrang until both of their letters came. Although Leo's departure was sad, Hestia was too caught up in getting ready for Hogwarts.
Although Hestia is fairly independent, she gets on well with people. However, she finds that she likes quiet time, in which she reads books, and can become irritable if people interrupt her reading. She likes to form friendships with people who can appreciate her sarcasm.
Academically, Hestia is quite good at the written subjects. She's never quite liked Quidditch or anything that is too hands on. Despite her ambition to succeed, Hestia can be cautious in new situations. Her caution manifests itself in the form of lots of sarcasm.
Hestia isn't fond of any new situation. She doesn't like not knowing what is happening, which is why she tends to stick with things that she knows, instead of pushing herself beyond her comfort zone.
She finds that she has a better bond with animals than with humans, mainly because she grew up surrounded by a varied selection of magical beasts. The first creature that she can remember was a very old kneazle with a grey spotted coat that Hestia called Ollie.
