HISTORY
Moreland Antioch Harceler was born to an old pure-blood Wizarding family, on the 3rd of July, to parents Claudius and Gwynlaith. An only child, Moreland was doted on by his parents, and grew up on an expensive estate of family owned lands in Alderley Edge, England. Being upper upper-class, the Harceler family have used their magical connections and ancestry over many generations to amass a fortune, and secretly own the claims to much of the surrounding countryside.

Being both financially and socially opulent, Moreland's parents consider themselves part of the social elite of the Wizarding community, and are in a financial position to never have to worry about working. Additionally, they feel that their pure-blood status and family bloodline that branches back to the 13th century affords them a certain level of prestige and station. This entitlement has been lavished on their only son, Moreland, who has been been told that he is very important, very proud, and has a strong family legacy to uphold his whole life. Given his every whim and want, Moreland has developed a very selfish and entitled attitude, and sees himself above others. Not only because of how rich he is, but also because he comes from a strong pure-blood family, with a reputation for excessively expensive parties, spending and Slytherin graduates.

As expected, from early childhood, Moreland was taught to be proud of his heritage. His bloodline was pure, his family wealthy, and his claim to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry absolute and without question. In fact, Claudius ensured to provide consistent donations to the Wizarding school, so that Moreland's placement was agreeable and providing him even greater opportunities to succeed through personal tutors during childhood.

Moreland's first experience with magic was the result of a tantrum when he was eight years old. When a tutor refused to offer him full grades, the boy struck out and knocked the elderly man across the lavish study room. While not injured, the tutor was blamed for the event, and was promptly fired by Claudius. Moreland, of course, was coddled and told how proud Gwynlaith was of her son for showing magical power at such a young age.

Because of his upbringing, Moreland has learned to rely on his family name and money. His efforts with schooling before Hogwarts were above average, due to personal tutors, but he still lacked any real drive to overachieve. However, his temper and cunning remained quietly controlled, and his willingness to lie and cheat carefully hidden behind a surprisingly charming smile.

On his 11th birthday, the owl with his invitation to attend Hogwarts arrived, and both his parents agreed he would be the standout First Year student of the new school year. This greatly pleased Moreland, and he prepared to leave for the Wizarding school in earnest. So with a goodbye to his parents, where Claudius reminded his son of the expectation of his station and name, and Gwynlaith cried and sobbed, Moreland boarded the Hogwarts Express, and began his schooling year as a member of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry...
