Aspen: Wand-quality aspen wood is white and fine-grained, and highly prized by all wand-makers for its stylish resemblance to ivory and its usually outstanding charmwork. The proper owner of the aspen wand is often an accomplished duellist, or destined to be so, for the aspen wand is one of those particularly suited to martial magic. An infamous and secretive eighteenth-century duelling club, which called itself The Silver Spears, was reputed to admit only those who owned aspen wands. In my experience, aspen wand owners are generally strong-minded and determined, more likely than most to be attracted by quests and new orders; this is a wand for revolutionaries.

Unicorn: Unicorn hair generally produces the most consistent magic, and is least subject to fluctuations and blockages. Wands with unicorn cores are generally the most difficult to turn to the Dark Arts. They are the most faithful of all wands, and usually remain strongly attached to their first owner, irrespective of whether he or she was an accomplished witch or wizard. Minor disadvantages of unicorn hair are that they do not make the most powerful wands (although the wand wood may compensate) and that they are prone to melancholy if seriously mishandled, meaning that the hair may ‘die’ and need replacing.

The Logician personality type is fairly rare, making up only three percent of the population, which is definitely a good thing for them, as there’s nothing they’d be more unhappy about than being “common”. Logicians pride themselves on their inventiveness and creativity, their unique perspective and vigorous intellect. Usually known as the philosopher, the architect, or the dreamy professor, Logicians have been responsible for many scientific discoveries throughout history.

They love patterns, and spotting discrepancies between statements could almost be described as a hobby, making it a bad idea to lie to a Logician. This makes it ironic that Logicians’ word should always be taken with a grain of salt – it’s not that they are dishonest, but people with the Logician personality type tend to share thoughts that are not fully developed, using others as a sounding board for ideas and theories in a debate against themselves rather than as actual conversation partners.

This may make them appear unreliable, but in reality no one is more enthusiastic and capable of spotting a problem, drilling through the endless factors and details that encompass the issue and developing a unique and viable solution than Logicians – just don’t expect punctual progress reports. People who share the Logician personality type aren’t interested in practical, day-to-day activities and maintenance, but when they find an environment where their creative genius and potential can be expressed, there is no limit to the time and energy Logicians will expend in developing an insightful and unbiased solution.

Marianne has a medium-low height for her age (136cm), plump body and reddish-brown hair that is very striking and clear. The skin is covered with freckles and the greatest concentration of them is on her face and shoulders. The lips are small and fleshy with slightly misaligned teeth and an opening between the two main front. The irises are light brown and the tone is similar to honey. Eyelashes are large and the shape of the eyes too, transposing innocence most of the time. The cheeks are full, soft and pinky. The hands have thin and elongated fingers because she has been practicing piano since she was five years old. Her voice is loud, the laughter scandalous, and she will hardly speak low unless someone rebukes her.

On December 7, 2007 was born Marianne, the youngest of the Brito family. Her name would be started with M like all the heirs (and yes, it is a matriarchal family that gives preference to pass their possessions for the women and not the men) and would take with her the Italian surname of the mother: Marianne D'Ângelo Brito. The girl was a pride to her parents and many expectations would be built upon the one that would carry the family name on. Among the highest expectations was that of the heiress to become an influential figure in the Ministry of Magic, and to learn impeccably the three main skills that the witch community recognized the family: Marianne had to know how to play the piano, to know each of the labels of behavior of the high class and possess an extensive literary knowledge (wizard, of course). Despite the demands and rigid discipline that the girl was created - which shaped her calculating, cool, logical personality - Marianne was a child loved by her family, especially her father.

Marius was an excellent duelist and stood out in Hogwarts for these abilities, being also very good in transfiguration. He became an Auror in the Ministry of Magic and was very dear to all his friends and colleagues. A great-hearted Hufflepuff and the only one who can broke the coolness of his daughter Marianne. The two were inseparable and for a long time she wanted to follow in her father's footsteps, but the passion for Quidditch always spoke louder. They went together to watch the matches when her mother played as a beater for Holyhead Harpies and secretly Marianne fueled the desire to one day be like her mother in sports, that one day she plays for a great team from England and will be adored by the fans. The desire for fame, glory and recognition would be the north of the girl even though it was difficult at first to admit these qualities in herself. Marius and his daughter played together, went out into the muggle-world to meet new things and he told stories to her about his Auror adventures before bed. The magic manifested itself in Marianne at the age of four while she was playing with her older brother Julian. They both ran through the gardens of the mansion and the little child wished to reach him. She can not explain how she reached her brother until today. Sometimes Marianne exploded her toys after a fit of childish anger. Other times she managed to disappear into a hide-and-seek joke. Gradually and with the support of the family she was learning to deal with the nuances of her magical habilities.

The family's greatest tragedy came a year before Marianne entered Hogwarts. She was walking in the diagonal alley with her father after they passed on Gringotts Wizarding Bank - he was on a simple mission for the Ministry - when Marius was suddenly murdered with the killing curse right before his daughter's eyes. No one knows where the curse came from and clearly no one expected anything of that proportion in public. In addition to seeing her father fainting right before her eyes, Marianne also saw the killer (which, of course, no one believed could be true, after all she was just a "desperate" and "confused" child) and one of her greatest desires is revenge. The pain of her father's loss affected her deeply and completely. Innocence has been taken from her soul and this has no return. Within a year she became a quieter, timid, and a fearful child. Marianne developed a phobia of the dark to the point of not being able to sleep with the lights off. She had constant nightmares about her father's death and insomnia became commonplace in her day to day life. Marius's death affected Marianne's relationship with her mother Candice. The matriarch's way of dealing with the tragedy was to sink into work. She became a Quidditch coach and did not have any more time for Marianne. The "good thing" is that it brought the brothers to the point of becoming best friends. Despite the age difference Julian, like all Hufflepuffs, took care of his little sister and it was he who took her to the diagonal alley to buy the materials for the first time. Stepping there after a year of trauma was difficult for Marianne, but the eleven-year-old girl swallowed her crying and moved on.

The summer holidays before her first year at Hogwarts were spent at the home of her maternal grandparents in Italy, the people Marianne loves most in her entire life after her father. Completely in love with them, the fact that they are biased with muggles is not something that bothers her. In fact Marianne's tolerance of muggle-borns came from paternal values and it is not something she would discuss with her maternal grandparents. At such a young age there is no maturity to deal with this issue and how every child she'll reflect what learned at home in school. During the summer holidays, the elf of the D'Angelo family distracted her into childish conversations and amusing jokes because Julian was spending his vacation at the home of some friends. The elf of the Brito family is serving her directly now, and Marianne is trying to deal with the fact that in the absence of her father who will bear the name and the values of the family will be her. The magic amulet on her neck symbolizes all the burden she should carry and and how much she misses her own father.
