Aaron Wolfe, First Year, Hufflepuff

History/Background Story: Aaron Wolfe, born to Donald Wolfe and Carol Wolfe in London at dusk on the 18th of March 2007, hails from a family not unlike many others. Donald Wolfe and Carol Wolfe both work in the Ministry of Magic. Carol Wolfe works in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement in the Improper Use of Magic Office. She often jokes with Aaron that she'll know if him or his friends do anything they shouldn't. Donald Wolfe also works in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement Office as a Hit Wizard. He doesn't speak of his work often and instead encourages his wife to keep Aaron's mind off his dangerous work. While she knows the risks and is confident in his ability to do his job safely, Aaron knows little of the job and only knows that his father has to protect other families from evil wizards and witches. Donald Wolfe has made certain that Aaron has never met any of his colleagues meanwhile Aaron has been introduced to many of his mother's colleagues and their children. Among the children that Aaron has met none of them have exactly become Aaron's friends. Aaron prefers to hangout with his cousin Nolan Wolfe whenever he can, which is usually when his parents go over to Joseph Wolfe and Ann Wolfe's house (Donald Wolfe's brother is Joseph Wolfe). Joseph and Ann Wolfe also work in the Ministry of Magic but Aaron doesn't know what they do, Nolan claims they work with "Mysteries" but even Nolan doesn't know what the mysteries are. Overall the Wolfe family is steeped in the the Ministry at varying levels. The most skilled wizard in the small family is Donald Wolfe, Carol Wolfe is the most organized, Joseph Wolf is the most dedicated to his work, Ann Wolfe is the most fun loving and often takes Nolan and Aaron off to muggle amusement parks and aquariums, Aaron is the most energetic, and Nolan is most far sighted often looking forward to traveling the world with Aaron.

The first time Aaron's magical abilities showed themselves was when he was 9 years old. While playing catch with a frisbee in his aunt's house with his cousin Nolan, the toy arched towards Aunt Ann's collectible spoon cabinent. Fear gripped Nolan and Aaron as they watched the disc spin towards the glass cabinent in what seemed to be slow motion. Nolan walked up beside Aaron then and asked "Why is it going so slow?" which startled Aaron because he had thought this was a figment of his imagination, an over processing of his mind which made the object seem slower. But it was not the case the frisbee was turning and moving away in slow motion just momemts away from the cabinet. At the momemt Ann Wolfe went to check on the two boys and when she saw the frisbee and what it was doing she looked at Aaron and smiled "Wait till your mother and father hear about this!". Both of Aaron's parents were happy to know that their son had the ability to preform magic. Nolan Wolfe's first bit of magic was a bit more spectacular, he had taken all the windows out a building when he got angry with a couple of neighborhood bullies. The resulting damage was more flash than fire and while the bullies were chased off Joseph was less than happy that he had to pay the building's owner for a new set of windows. Sooner than later Joseph and Donald began filling out the paperwork for their sons to attend Hogwarts while Carol and Ann began to make lists of what the boys needed for their first year.

While Donald and Ann had been Gryffindors, Carol had been a Ravenclaw, and Joseph a Slytherin. The family joke was that Nolan would be the first Hufflepuff (just to tease him), a notion that he strongly resented and insisted that he'd be a "Slimey, snakey, slithery, Slytherin like Dad" before he'd ever be a Hufflepuff. Of course everyone but Joseph got a laugh out of these rebuttals, who in retaliation promptly magically changed all of Nolan's clothes to a bright yellow. Aaron on the other hand always wanted to be a Gryffindor like his parents. Not that he did not think the other houses had their cool quirks and celebrities, but more so that he liked the fantasy of following in his parents footsteps. However it seemed the Sorting Hat had different plans for Aaron and he was placed into Hufflepuff. While he is not thrilled by the results he doesn't plan to let Nolan's teasing get to him as Nolan was placed in Slytherin.

Aaron himself is an inquisitive sort and very fond of using his imagination to expound upon the realm of possibilities. He often finds himself teasing his peers, perhaps too much and too harshly although he means well by it. His personal beliefs fall within Reciprocity or summarily put, a tooth for a tooth. Aaron stands just shy of five feet tall, has dark brown hair, white skin on a paler side, and green eyes.

One of Aaron's personal fascinations is the Animagus ability. It is a skill that can be learned by anyone with enough dedication to the process but relatively few have achieved it. He sees this as a romantic proposition, almost heroic in a way. If asked about becoming an Animagi, Aaron will quickly list off all the potential benefits no matter how impractical they may be.

For better or worse Aaron is also intrigued with games of skill as well as chance against his peers such as Chess or Cards. A favorite spectacle sport of Aaron's is quidditch. While he likes to watch the game Aaron doesn't seem to have a favorite team. His father insists that it'd be good for him to tryout for the quidditch team once at Hogwarts although his mother thinks it could be rougher than he expects.
