History/Background Story:
Family:  The Bryan family of Kentra, Scottland is shady. There's no tiptoeing around it. There's no secret that they made their fortunes in a lot of...less than friendly ways. The criminal ties run deep and long in that family. Josephine has more than her share of relatives that have spent extended time in Azkaban. Some of which where thrown in there to never again see the light of day. Every dark wizard who ever tried to rise to power, any conflict in the magical community, anywhere there was blood money to be made, you'll find a Bryan involved if you look hard enough. It'll be near impossible to prove any of them were a Death Eater or a supporter of Grindelwald, but you can be very sure they found a way to make money out of it. Even to this day its said in the right circles, whispered tones at secret meetings, that if you need something done, or a less than legal item bought, and don't want dear old MoM knowing, find yourself a Bryan.

Her father, Bartholomew "Big Bart" Bryan was thought to be the one to change that reputation. He was a model student at school, and a Quidditch prodigy.  After his seven years at Hogwarts, he went right to the pros, and not long after, the national team. Big Bart was an incredibly flashy and aggressive player, and that earned him a lot of spotlight. He quickly gained a legion of adoring fans. Following this was merchandising, magazine covers, chocolate frog cards, and a lot of money.  During his rookie year, he met a sports reporter for the Daily Prophet, Annabelle Lowe, and the two quickly fell in love.

But the apple doesn't fall far from the tree they say. The money kept coming, and he kept wanting more and more of it. Eventually, Big Bart started taking up the ole family business. This almost led to his downfall. Bart got caught up in an illegal gambling ring. It nearly cost him everything. Just when they had enough evidence to ruin his career and have him barred from the sport, he announced a persistent injury was forcing him to retire. Bart knew, and his accusers knew, that injury never happened. But he was a beloved public figure and now had the people's sympathy on his side. To this day, he is always seen in public with a fake limp and unnecessary cane.  He still uses that image to his advantage. A branded line of brooms, a photo shoot here or there, and the odd endorsement deal.

However, resting on his laurels was not something a son of the house of Bryan was keen to do. Bart was a brute of a man, but an idiot he was not. Thanks to his father's connections and his own sharp mind, he started making investments. Some in perfectly legal business, others...not so much. These days he has money coming and going to so many different places that Josephine felt that only the goblins at Gringotts could unravel the web her father had spun.

Personal History: As the firstborn daughter of a very wealthy and perfectly legitimate and upstanding businessman, Josephine lived a life of luxury. Her every want and need were easily granted. She was only given the finest of food and clothing. She had her own house elf to do every chore a normal little girl would have to worry about. Even a set of enchanted brushes to take care of her hair for her.  But there were a few silent downsides to this life.

The Bryan family, due to their history and profession, was a very secluded and secretive family. That meant play dates with other children were very few and far between. Always in public, never at her house. The large always sat ominously silent, save for the family and house elves inside. She didn't have any real friends. Nobody to run and play with, nobody to share her expensive toys and games with.  Her father was also a very controlling man. A staunch perfectionist. That meant the standards for her were very high from birth. She was treated more like a fashion accessory than a child. A fancy doll to dress up and train and bring with him to make him seem more sympathetic and caring. She was trained from a very young age to talk, walk, and carry herself perfectly. Nothing less would do. Never allowed outside of the house without daddy dearest with her.  She was too valuable of a tool to be to be let out into the world.

DESCRIPTION

Josephine is a small girl. A little shorter than most of her classmates. Pale, freckled, and lithe.  Her auburn hair is always perfectly brushed. Her nails perfectly manicured.  Her clothes always perfectly wrinkle free. Though she is small, she carries herself like she owns the world and everything in it. Her brown eyes always seem curious, and if you looked hard enough, you'd think she was up to something. Maybe her trademark smirk has something to do with it.

Personality
Jo is a spoiled brat. That is going to be the first thing most people notice about her. She is used to having everything in the world handed to her on a silver platter, and has come to expect it. She also has a distinct lack of social skills due to a very limited social life as a child.  She gets nervous easily, tends to react to strong emotions poorly, and can be very catty, petty, and manipulative. But if you can stick around through that you will find a very intelligent and driven girl. A very lonely one who just wants to make friends and be accepted, and not be treated like her father's doll. But even more important, for those strong enough of will to put up with her attitude and behavior, they will find a ferociously loyal and generous friend.
