Appearance: Ford has straight brown hair and strikingly blue eyes. He has a slightly chubby face and a gap between his teeth that he has never been proud of, but despite his own opinions he is a rather handsome child. The young boy has a small, rounded nose and ears that protrude a bit further from his head than he'd like. His ears are usually covered by his hair though.

Family: Ford's father is an English lord whose land consists of mostly swamp areas. As such, he is often busy with his various duties, though there are very few other people who live in the area. Ford has no siblings, growing up under his father's harsh tutelage. The man was by no means a bad person, though he did have a bit of an inferiority complex. Because of this he constantly drove Ford to be better, stronger, and more "efficient." In fact, "efficiency" was Maximus Farquad's greatest goal in life. He placed it far above emotions, the opinions of others, and other such frivolities.

Ford never knew his mother, as she died in childbirth. He knows very little about her aside from stories that his father told him. From those tales though, she seems to be the almost entirely opposite of his father. While she was just as hyper-focused as he is, she often took time to enjoy life and throw parties. Maximus often refers to her as a "classic Taurus", though Ford never put much stock in astrological signs.

Personality: Ford takes after his father in that he is constantly trying to become more efficient. He is strong-willed and stubborn, actively refusing to allow his emotions to get in the way of his success. This makes him very driven and successful in his academic life, but leaves him quite lacking on the social side of things. Ford does not have friends, only a methodical system of "valued acquaintances." He often becomes annoyed with the general immaturity of his age group. That being said, he is far from immune to having his own bouts of childishness. The boy has his flaws, but he knows what they are, and constantly works to improve himself and every aspect of his life.

Background: Ford has always had an extreme interest in technology. While his father was concerned with taking care of the land and training Ford to be the world's finest wizard, Ford was teaching himself how to program in several different languages. When he got his letter to Hogwarts, he had the opposite reaction to most of the invitation's receivers. It filled him with a sense of dread. He had long heard stories about the place from his father, and he knew quite well their policies on Muggle technology. In fact, his father would often tell him of the time when he would get his letter, say goodbye to "those infernal machines", and learn to do one good with his life. Ford of course firmly believes that he can do plenty of good with his computer thank you very much. While he does attend the school at his father's instruction, he longs for the days when he can return home and work toward his true passions.
