Violet, at twenty-eight, is a small, delicate young woman with a penchant for pretty frills and bright colors. Hair, dark brown, hangs to her mid-back and her eyes are a rich amber, framed beneath thick, deeply arched brows.

Violet is an old fashioned woman in very many ways. Polite and soft spoken, she has little difficulty making friends and earning the respect of her peers. She can be guarded, however, particularly where her past is concerned, and almost never speaks about her family.

Violet loves her students more than anything in the world - teaching is her absolute joy; a dream come true, and this comes through almost always in her warmth and ease during lessons.

Professor Henley hails from a small, quiet village in the country of Wales, outside of St. Davids. Her mother was the half-blood daughter of a baker, her father a pure-blood wizard, desperate to carve his own path in life and escape the scrutiny of his familial name. Until her 2nd birthday, Violet's sister Oleander was an only child. Violet's sudden and unexpected arrival sparked a rivalry in the young girl, who had been rather profoundly comfortable with the current state of the house.

Things progressed further in an unfortunate direction when it became more and more apparent Oleander was a Squib, while her sister showed an increasing aptitude for baby magic. Resentfulness grew in Oleander, so much so that by the time she was accepted into Hogwarts, Vi found herself the constant recipient of Oleander's disdain and ill will.

But the culmination of her sister's wrath came when Violet was home for the holidays during her second year. Oleander, always bigger and more formidable than her younger sister pushed Violet into a well in the field behind their family home. For nearly eight hours, Violet survived in the frigid water, rescued when a passing bicyclist heard her cries.

Following the incident, Oleander was sent away and Violet, traumatized, became reclusive and withdrawn. It took the entire year for her to find her way through the darkness... And in particular, the guiding hand of her Charms professor. Pulled free, Violet transformed and the following year, found a renewed sense of worth and purpose.

Over the new few years her focus was only ever outmatched by her drive, and upon graduation from Hogwarts, Violet set her mind to one task... A task fully realized upon her appointment as Charms Professor.

Ackerley Blackburn | The pair attended school together and bonded in 5th Year, over their shared love for Charms. It was Ackerley who contacted Violet personally, to offer the position of Charms Professor, when he ascended as Headmaster.

Alpheus Wordsworth | Vi grew up hearing the legends of Alf, but only met him once in passing. Upon his arrival to Hogwarts, she was reintroduced in rather colorful fashion.

Quillius Falke | The Flying Professor. Quillius was the first professor apart from Ackerley that Violet encountered at Hogwarts. She holds the man in a certain regard, for his shared concerns over the Masked Figure.

Serena Towers | Violet met the student during Summer camp, when Serena rescued the Charms Professor's hat from going in the lake. After which, Violet offered Serena some (hopefully) helpful advice about a boy named Parasite.
