Born on March 5, 2006 in the wizard port town of Falmouth, England to a middle class wizarding family. His father is named Arledge Warbeck, a former Ravenclaw and his mother is named Fern Warbeck, a former Hufflepuff. Hengist is a middle child with an older brother named Havelock Warbeck, a Gryffindor, who's already graduated from Hogwarts and a younger sister, Hilda Warbeck, who is a squib.

Hengist is a tall and thin boy with pale skin, bright green eyes and scraggly dark brown hair and a deep voice for his age. He is reserved and studious with a great love for reading and learning. While he isn't necessarily shy, he has trouble making friends due to his blunt nature. The family is friendly with muggles, mostly due to the youngest being a squib, though they have never revealed their magical nature for obvious reasons. The family took this stance in the mindset that their daughter, who would be looked down upon and have very few future prospects in the wizarding community, might have a chance at a fulfilling future in the muggle world. This being the case, Hengist learned a lot about muggle technology, but was much more curious about magic because he wanted to know what causes squibs and if they can be "cured". Hengist is very protecting of his little sister and dotes upon her very much. However, due to her being a squib, he does not like talking about her with other wizards/witches.

He was not allowed to read any spell or potion books or anything that was practical until he got to Hogwarts. This is because of Hengist's natural inclination to "experiment". He had already taken apart many muggle devices, most never working again even after he put them back together. When he was six, he got his hands on a stray potion book, tried to brew a potion after reading it and badly burned his right hand, leaving a scar. Due to all this, his parents only let him read historical or general magical subjects. This made Hengist extremely impatient to receive his Hogwarts letter and begin learning more practical things.

Heroes don't exist and even if they did, I wouldn't be one.
