amanda is an extremely outgoing and confident individual. she is not afraid to say what’s on her mind, but she does watch herself and is smart about it so as not to get in trouble. as far as friends go, it’s quite the challenge to get on amanda’s a-list. she is very particular about who she chooses to call her friends, which probably accounts for how close she is with the few real friends she has. amanda can be a bit loud at times, sometimes even too loud, but her friends learn to put up with it. her friends also learn to put up with her feisty temper, which tends to often result in loud swearing or loud tangents in french, both being equally likely. despite her nonchalant attitude about school, amanda has a very creative and intelligent mind. she generally excels at most subjects in school, herbology and transfiguration being the main exceptions.

James Sparrow

James Grayson Sparrow was born on October 22nd, 1974, to purebloods Keaton and Helena Sparrow. The family lived in London, England. James has two sisters: Heather (1972) and Penelope (1978). James attended Hogwarts and was sorted into Ravenclaw. He was a Prefect in his fifth and sixth years and excelled at Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms, and Potions. James graduated from Hogwarts in 1996, two years before the Battle of Hogwarts. He rented a flat in London upon graduation, where he lived until he met a Muggle named Teresa Grant, whom he fell in love with, much to his family’s disdain. James didn’t tell his new girlfriend that he was a wizard, for fear that she would break up with him. James and Teresa got married in March of 2001 and had a daughter, Leslie Ryan Sparrow, on June 8th, 2002. Teresa became an alcoholic and wasn’t necessarily there for her daughter anymore. A year later, James could no longer hide his wizarding background and Teresa divorced him. James won sole custody of Leslie, as Teresa had had some minor criminal background. James and Leslie went to live with his parents and got a part-time job at Flourish and Blotts.

Alice Nicholson

Alice Rose Nicholson was born on March 18th, 1977, to Muggles Joseph and Irene Nicholson in Paris, France. Alice has two brothers and one sister: Christian (1971), Victoria (1975), and Mark (1980). Alice was received at Beauxbatons and went to school there for two years until her family moved to Cornwall, England. Alice transferred to Hogwarts and was sorted into Hufflepuff. She was Head Girl in her seventh year and was a popular student in her last few years at Hogwarts. Her best subjects were Potions and Herbology. She was a sixth year when the Battle of Hogwarts took place and used her skills to help heal the injured. Alice graduated in 1999 and moved to a small flat in London, which she shared with one of her friends from school. Alice decided to get a job in Diagon Alley and ended up working at Flourish and Blotts.

The Sparrow Family

James and Alice met at work in early 2004 and started dating. They got married in February of 2005, and bought a house in London. Leslie was two years old when her dad got remarried, and she was happy to have a kind mother. A year later, Alice gave birth to twins, Amanda Rowan and Johnny Kristopher, on May 17, 2006. In 2009, the family decided to move to America and bought a house in Chestertown, New York, which is nestled in the Appalachian Mountains. They began living among Muggles for something different. Alice transitioned smoothly, since her parents were Muggles, but James and the kids had a hard time fitting in at first. James applied for a job at MACUSA and began his training as an Auror. They had another son, Daniel Reese, on January 12th, 2011. Two years later, Leslie received her letter from Ilvermorny and was sorted into Pukwudgie. The Sparrow family moved across the country, just five years after moving to New York, to Los Angeles, California. Three years later, Amanda and Johnny received their letters. Johnny went to Ilvermorny, like Leslie, and was sorted into Wampus, but Amanda got her letter from Hogwarts. So she flew overseas to London with her mother and started attending Hogwarts. She was sorted into Ravenclaw, like her father. In July 2018, the Sparrow family bought a large house in Faversham, England, and moved there in August. They waited a month to move because Amanda was busy with summer camp for all of July. In September, Leslie and Johnny transferred to Hogwarts to join Amanda.
