Summary
Emlyn beat her twin sister Ellory into the world by approximately seventeen minutes, and after eleven years, she still tries to blow out her candles on their birthday cake seventeen minutes earlier. It’s more of a family joke now at this point, Emlyn enjoys joining hands with her sister and blowing the candles out at the same time. This describes Emlyn quite well, usually she is taking on challenges and adventures in life head on with her partner in crime.
Emlyn has always been a little bit more comfortable trying new things than her sister and sometimes needs to coax and encourage Ellory into things. Emlyn is kind and tries to be nice to everyone she meets. She will usually be nice to others even when she disagrees with them about something. The only exception is when people are mean to either her or her sister, then she can get a little “snappy” as her sister describes it. Standing up for others is a big virtue of hers and she is okay with making things uncomfortable as long as it means doing the right thing.
Emlyn is outgoing and sociable, especially when it’s both her and Ellory. When she isn’t with Ellory, she can sometimes lose some confidence when in unfamiliar situations or places. When she starts to feel this way, she usually is good at acting and faking it to get through whatever it is, not wanting to show a vulnerable side. She fears that when she does this, she sometimes goes over the top with it and worries how she is being perceived by others.
She is quick to take the popular vote if a group is trying to decide on something, unless she personally disagrees with it or if her sister feels differently. In her hometown, her family lives near the sea and she enjoys going near the water to think, read, walk, or even do homework. Backstory
Backstory: Emlyn Prosser is an eleven-year-old girl born into a wizarding family with her twin sister Ellory, and their loving parents. Her family lives in Aberystwyth, Wales in a small house near the sea. Emlyn has been fascinated with magic ever since she could remember. Her sister and her have attended public school up until recently, when her Hogwarts letter finally arrived after what seemed like an eternity not being able to discuss magic around her non-magical peers. Emlyn is very excited to attend Hogwarts and be able to learn and practice magic herself and couldn’t be more thrilled to be going through all of it with Ellory.
Emlyn comes from a family with several generations belonging to the house of Godrick Gryffindor and is delighted, but not all too surprised, that her and her sister continue this Legacy being placed in Gryffindor.
