Her childhood was so delightful that she almost regretted it's already over.

Her family lived in a small nice house with a huge garden. Angela and her younger sisters loved to play there all day long. Her dad was usually busy nearby, caring after the owlery or tending the garden. They dressed up as dragons and warlocks and ran around waving sticks at each other. Sometimes a bunch of worms came out of a stick or an unlucky bush caught on fire and dad needed to intervene, laughing at them.

Her parent's owlery was the best in the region, they said - with the smartest, fastest and prettiest owls. Surely they looked nobly. She loved their menacing eyes and soft plumage, and owls seemed to like her too. She sometimes sneaked out even at night and went there to pet and talk to some lazy ones who didn't fly out to prey. Parents didn't need to know... Until one irritated owl pecked her, leaving a big scary wound. It hurt like hell, but now she was glad it happened. Her mother, working in Ministry of Magic on dragon research, always talked about how magical creatures can be dangerous and should be first and foremost respected. It was important to remember that they're not always nice and fluffy.

Yes, those years were sweet and fun, but now it's time to grow up. She finally has her own real wand. She has her favourite young owl. She's so ready for Hogwarts. Let the adventure begin.

• Spell crafting and another stabbed cheesecake - Her dormmate Lilly-anne Dean behaves very weird over a simple piece of cake. Angela tries to get to know her better.
