Appearance: John has bobbed hair shaped in a bob and typically in need of a haircut. It generally covers his eyebrows. Brown eyes and a bright smile welcome new friends and new destinations. John is of average height, though his legs make up more of that height than usual. Though a great runner as a result, he would often get teased about his proportions: his nickname was Long Johns.

Personality: (ISTP) When it comes to sticking one's hand where it doesn't belong, John is the first to do so. He is naturally curious: he will look at a piece of trash on the ground and wonder "What can I do with this". Ever an optimist, he keeps a positive attitude even under pressure. On the other hand, he is not averse to risk, which can get him into thorny situations.

Bio: John Johns was born in Saundersfoot, Wales to the most uncreative parents known to mankind. His parents, both working in the service industry, had gotten into arguments about which obscure relative/celebrity to name him after. By the time his birth came around, no one could settle on a name. Nurses began calling him John and the parents kind of liked the ring of it.

John loved to explore the beaches near his parents' hotel. He would spend afternoons watching seabirds, seals, and dolphins. The boy would climb around rocky coves and collect all sorts of shells and lost trinkets. His room would be littered with his discoveries, much to the chagrin of his mother.

All his life, John had dreams of being something greater than his name. Perhaps he would be a sailor and explore the high seas. Or maybe a veterinarian and tend to pets or the wild animals that he admired, but only after he discovered an unknown island with new species of creatures. In reality, most people would be supporting the tourism industry, the driving force of Wales' economy after the Great Depression decimated its steel and coal industries. Indeed, since much of the world was largely discovered, explorer wasn't a well-paying profession, and Wales wasn't exactly known for its astronauts. His parents, though teaching him the value of a "typical" life, had hoped that the world wasn't too small for John's dreams.

Opportunity did not open a door; his dad did. An owl with a letter flew inside the house. While his parents wondered how the bird got in and out so effortlessly, John examined the letter that happened to have his name on it. What was inside was...peculiar to say the least. A wizarding school? Did he ever apply to such a thing? Did such a thing even exist? And that name: Hogwarts. "Such a silly name," remarked his father (who, lest one forgot, named his son John Johns).

To his parents, John Johns would be going to a special boarding school, have the adventure he craved, and perhaps gain a couple tales to tell new friends when he reentered the traditional schooling system. John would soon find out that he would be entering a largely unknown world, the kind of place no one with the first name John and the last name Johns had ever stepped into before.

Year 1 Highlights:

John's first year was rather eventful. He journeyed into the deep underbelly of the school with the combined forces of Gryffindor and Hufflepuffs. From both houses, a new elite team was formed: the Huffrindors. From there, he had challenged a ghost girl to a dance off and won, freeing the victims of her spell and earning some mystical blue wand.

Closer to the end of the year, John and a representative from each house (probably a coincidence) faced off with the enigmatic masked boy. Without the aid of magic, the others were throwing spells at each other while he resorted to tackling the villain to the ground. He doesn't recall whether that maneuver was successful, but everyone survived.

For some strange reason, John was rewarded the rank of prefect. It is not clear as to why, though he performed his role...admirably?

Year 2 Highlights

John spent most of his second year hospitalized after ingesting the infamous Devil's Snare. On a brighter note, his curiosity proved to be a boon to herbology research. He was eventually released, but being so close to summer break, John figured there was no point in trying to play catch up. He is currently spending the remainder of the school year as a vagabond running about Diagon Alley.

On a lazy weekend at Hogwarts, John meets a girl on the lakeshore.

A common room game to get Hufflepuffs acquainted.

A Quiet Place to Read(in progress)- ft. Maisy Dane, Elizabeth Summers, Khris Bailey
John joins Liz and Khris in helping Maisy carry half the library back to House Slytherin.

John joins the rest of Hufflepuff along with Gryffindor in an underground adventure.
