Appearance: Grayson is a fairly average looking kid who’s still waiting for his growth spurt. Standing at just about four foot he has taken to messing up his chestnut coloured hair to add the all important few inches of height to the top of his head.

Personality: Grayson has always been a bit of an egg head and is probably better friends with books than people. He tends to get a little hung up on his nerves and has a habit of over-analysing everything. Despite this Grayson has also developed into a little bit of a terrier, being smaller than most other kids his age he has developed a fiery temper that when lit often leads to explosive bursts of anger, fortunately though his bark is quite definitely worse than his bite.

His family have always praised academic achievement over physical and thus whilst he has excelled at most school work his athletic abilities leave much to be desired. Despite all these quirks Grayson is capable of becoming a true and loyal friend, provided you can get through his emotional armour.

History
Family
The Abonos were always a proud bloodline. Pure blooded wizards for as far back as the records would go. Pure and untainted, that is until Grayson’s grandfather married a muggle girl. Of course he was cut off immediately, totally disowned, and that would have been the end of it if they hadn’t have had a wizard son of there own.

It’s tough being a wizard with a proud name but having no real claim to it and even tougher to make friends but fortunately there’s someone out there for everyone and that’s how Grayson’s parents met. Malvana was a witch from a respectable yet liberally diverse family that welcomed George into their ranks with open arms and a few years later they welcomed Grayson as well.

Childhood
Grayson’s childhood was an enchanted one, literally. He lived on the peripherals of the muggle world, close enough to see his grandmother but far enough away that magic was still common place. His father had wanted to raise Grayson in the muggle world, to keep him grounded and let him understand the modern world as he had when he was younger, his mother though would let herself be cursed before she washed a dish by hand. As in all things, the wife won and Grayson was raised fully exposed to the wonders of magic and all but cut off from the muggle world. His father would occasionally show him an artefact like a spinning top but what fun was it compared to a magical one?

Schooling was a challenge though, at first he was homeschooled but Grayson was an only child and he needed friends. Muggle school was an option but really how many times can you explain why your son said his mother was a witch before people started taking note of it. As a result Grayson was schooled for many years in the flu network, effectively homeschooled but travelling around the houses of other like minded families at least until it became apparent he was surpassing the limits of what they could teach at home.

Finally in year 5 Grayson joined a muggle school. A little older and a little wiser Grayson now understood that he couldn’t just yammer on about their broomstick ride across the country or the potions his mother brewed to make the flowers bloom bigger. He even made a few new friends, well acquaintances really, he’d meat them at the local chippy but that was about it. One of them came for a sleepover once but he had to be obliviated after he saw the laundry neatly folding itself away into the closet, he’d also come dangerously close to noting that the house had a couple of extra rooms than it did on the outside.

Hogwarts
Eventually Grayson’s owl came from Hogwarts. His old life was pretty much left in the dust as he dragged his parents to Diagon Alley. Everything was a whirlwind of excitement as he rushed through his checklist, packed up his books and found himself scrambling aboard the Hogwarts Express with barely a glance back.
