Physical Details: Adriel is approximately 1.5 meters tall, tall for someone of her age. Her long limbs seem a bit too lengthy and clumsy. She has a skinny, boyish body devoid of curves. She has pale, freckled skin, short, strawberry-blonde curls, and a narrow, rosy face. Her round eyes are a mischievous shade of blue.

HISTORY

Adriel Lovage was born at home in Cork, Ireland, to Rhea and Quintin Lovage, a healthy and happy married couple just in their early 30s. She was the second magical child to be born in this generation of the Lovage family, a quiet and humble pureblood family with a long history in both potions and Muggle pharmaceuticals. Adriel was permitted a fortunately happy and quiet childhood in the company of her brother Adrien (a Hufflepuff 10 years her senior), her parents, and her great aunt, Squib Anita Lovage, in the small house and store that had been, for 100 years, the house and store of Lovage. It was a humble little store that had overgone many magical updates to fit the times and regulations of Muggle stores, but the two upper stories of the rectangular building were absolutely unchanged from the early 1900s. Adriel was taught significant herbology and potion-making from nearly birth as to better help around the shop. At an early of about five, Adriel could identify every plant in the garden and what potions it could be used in, as well as the ingredients and recipes to many basic potions. Adriel spent many hours in the sizable garden behind the three-story building and had many muggle friends in her childhood. She was just as knowledgeable about the muggle world as the wizarding world, though, at times she struggled to keep them separate. Her childhood remained without many changes until her brother left home at the age of 19 to study magical medicine and later work as a nurse at St. Mungo's.

FAMILY BUSINESS

The Lovages, as a family, run a muggle pharmacy and magical potion shop. To any Muggle entering the building, it's a modern pharmacy like any other. White lights brightly illuminate light blue walls and tiled floors. Shelves of greeting cards brighten up the side walls, and four aisles of basic medicines and necessities run down the room. The single counter is laden with candies while protecting prescription medicines on the wall behind it. The pharmacy is registered in the Muggle world. Any wizard entering the shop, however, will be led through the store to the backroom, a pharmacy straight out of the 1920's. Checkered black and white tiles cover the floor, and the walls are lined with high shelves of bottles. Dried herbs hang from the ceilings and a long glass counter runs the length of the back wall. Several cauldrons are built straight into the counter.

Of course, a Muggle entering the room would find that they had made a wrong turn into the dusty storage room of any pharmacy and would feel no need to pursue the room any further.

PERSONALITY
Adriel Lovage, by all means, is an absolute extrovert. She keeps very few secrets and views the world as her best friend. She will talk to strangers until there are no strangers, and she rarely runs out of things to talk about. Adriel is a story-teller by nature. She is not a liar, but she loves to come up with exciting and exaggerated stories to tell about pirates and ghosts and muggles. She is very familiar with both the wizard and muggle worlds, and thus entertains muggles with stories of the wizarding world and wizards with the stories of the muggle world. Adriel is unafraid of most things, or at least she knows how to wear a brave face well. She likes to encourage others to take risks, but knows when to stop pushing someone. Adriel is certainly an attention-seeker, but she is humble and kind all the same. Adriel's biggest flaw is perhaps how rashly she makes decisions. She lives very quickly, but will typically apologize and own up to her mistakes. She is too honest, as many children are, and can often offend entitled adults.
Adriel does not mind being alone, though she'd much rather prefer an audience. When alone, her nose typically up in the air to get a better view of the clouds or in a book. Her favorite books are those of the adventures of muggle children like To Kill a Mockingbird, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and The Secret Garden. Her favorite character is Dill Harris, whom she suspects she could be best friends with. She also enjoys skipping rocks, making paper airplanes, climbing trees, and catching small creatures like frogs, lizards, worms, and garden gnomes.

FAMILY
Rhea (Terhune) Lovage - mother
Rhea Lovage is a soft-spoken and good-spirited pureblood witch. Rhea Lovage was a Ravenclaw back in her day and was separated from the muggle world because she lived in a wizarding village. She is supportive of her children and loves to watch a good Quidditch match. She is quiet and at times solemn, but she always has eloquent and genuine advice to offer when asked. She is tall with dark brown curls and round blue eyes. Rhea often has to remind Adriel that she's "not the only person in the world who can talk, but the only person in the world who can't listen."

Quinten Lovage - father
Quinten Lovage is a vibrant and jovial pureblood wizard. He was a Gryffindor, as were all of his four sisters. He is a strong, well-built man with strawberry-blonde hair and brown eyes. He feels many emotions very vividly and is not afraid to cry in front of anyone. He loves to clean and have order, and he's put into a high state of stress when his children come home dirty, hurt, or generally disheveled. He cooks and cleans while his wife takes care of many of the more technical sides of the housekeeping (bills, taxes, business inventory, shopping).

Adrien Lovage - brother
Adrien Lovage is a caring young man of 21 years of age. He has dark brown curls and blue eyes, and, like Adriel, is tall and gangly. He cares deeply for the well-being of people, and his loyalty and hard-work placed him happily in Hufflepuff. Currently, he resides in a small apartment in London and works at St. Mungo's. He sends many letters to Adriel detailing the gruesome intricacies of every malady he treats.

Anita Lovage - great-aunt
Anita Lovage is a vivacious old squib who will not let her age or lack of magic slow her down. She was basically inherited by Quinten when he inherited the shop and house, and she certainly brings a share of stories and excitement to the family. Anita has an opinion on everything, and Adriel gets her affinity for story-telling from the old widow.

Justin Stone - Justin has the one human trait that bothers Adriel the most- a brooding seriousness. The two met in Potions class, and Adriel was not impressed with the results of their first meeting.

Kaylee Lovegood - Kaylee made a poor first impression during the first potions class the two shared when she bounded into the room, interrupted Adriel's conversation, and, most importantly, began making untrue assumptions about Adriel and Frost Cira without giving Adriel time to retort.
