PERSONALITY
Shayna is a very shy character. She was the kind of person at her muggle school who was nice to everyone and everyone liked, but didn't have many close friends. She's an introvert and loves spending time with people, but needs time alone to recharge afterwards. She's very quiet most the time and doesn't talk a lot in front of people she doesn't know, but if you start on a topic she enjoys you won't be able to get her to stop talking. Shayna was incredibly nervous to come to Hogwarts, as her biggest passion is art and she was worried it's not a profession fit for a witch. She always wished that she had a younger sibling. She's an animal lover and has a very gentle nature, but to someone who doesn't know her she can be shockingly strong and stubborn. At muggle school, Shayna was often teased for being so innocent. She'll never cry in public, but is easily hurt. She won't stick up for herself, but will do anything to defend a friend.

HOBBIES
Shayna doesn't like most sports. Her favorite thing to do is paint, sketch, or draw. Her paintings talk and move and often give her good advice for a new art project, but it can get a bit annoying when a sketch starts yelling at you about what you could be doing better while you're still trying to finish. Shayna loves reading good fictional books, and is a good writer but prefers art. She loves swimming and climbing trees and rocks, some of the few activities in which her light weight comes in handy. She also loves hiking and Care of Magical Creatures.

Background (Bio)
Shayna grew up in a small house by a lake in Salisbury, England. William Reed, Shayna's father, is a wizard and was the one to discover that she a witch. Her mother, Olivia, is a muggle. Olivia doesn't mind the fact that William is a wizard and she is aware of the wizarding world, but William doesn't do much magic around the house. Both are very kind and supportive parents, but sometimes Shayna felt a little like her mother might prefer that she was a "normal" kid instead of a witch. Shayna always loved painting and sketching a lot. Any time a muggle thought they saw a painting or sketch move, they mysteriously always ended up being distracted by sudden events or remembering an important place to be, assuming it was just a trick of the light, and forgetting the entire event (Notice that William never left Shayna's side in public and she was forbidden to do art in school). Though most people didn't mind the shy little girl, Shayna was often bullied at school because she was quiet and never reacted, and because her father was "unemployed." It took all her self control to stay calm and not let anything happen. Shayna grew very good at detecting when a bully was approaching and quickly climbing a large rock or tree, climbing out of reach. Shayna grew so good at not doing magic, her family wasn't sure that the Ministry of Magic even knew she was there, as the trace on underage wizards had never been activated by her. As an adult witch, she thinks of being a mediwizard, professor, or magical creatures caretaker.
