. . . .The best way to describe Colette is that she is manipulative. She projects smiles and warm positivity to others, and is always the first to try and help out those in need, because she really wants for others to think of her as a caring and kind person. She is very concerned about how others view her. However, she can be quite vindictive and cold at times, and she is very calculated in her actions and words. She can come off as annoying and sometimes condescending towards other students. She is, at the very core, a complete brown-noser who is only out for her own self-interest, but at the same time she also just craves love and acceptance like everyone else. The problem is that doesn't know the right way to get these things.

OVERCONFIDENT – Lettie has never been one to be shy about herself. She has an exaggerated opinion about herself, which can make her seem a bit like a know-it-all. It wouldn’t be surprising if many people found her to be pretentious, and if they did, she would probably just call them jealous.

CORDIAL – Success is something which is immensely important to Lettie, and she has been taught from a young age that having the right social connections is the key to success. She is outwardly friendly to people and does her best to be sociable. Others’ perception means a great deal to her.

CALCULATING – Lettie does not do anything without having a clear reason for doing so. She consistently thinks before she acts, and can be quite shrewd. Whereas others can be ruled by emotions, Lettie is ruled by thoughts. Her ability to think rationally about anything is a bit unnerving, albeit useful at times.

PROTECTIVE – When Lettie makes a friend, or there’s someone that she truly admires and enjoys as a person, she is remarkably protective towards them. To earn her love is to earn her trust and devotion for life, and she will not let anyone mess with those she loves.

. . Colette lives with her sister and her mother in a manor in London. Her mother works for The Ministry in the Wizengamot Administration Department. She has a demanding position there which causes her to have chaotic work hours, and she is rarely home in time to see Colette and her sister before they go to bed. Colette's father left their family two months after her sister was born, when Colette was only three years old.

Since Colette's mother is rarely home, her and her sister are largely taken care of by their resident house elf, Lolly. Lolly made sure they were always fed and well-cared-for, but there's only so much emotional support a house elf is able to provide. As such, Colette feels a constant longing for her mother’s attention. She strives to be the best in everything she does to try and win over her mother's affection.The need to have her mother be proud of her is her driving force.

However broken her relationship is with her mother, Colette is extremely close with her sister. Since she is a bit older than her, she has always felt it was her duty to watch over her. The girls spent a lot of their early childhood with nobody to play with but each other, so they have a strong bond and are always there for one another. It kills Colette to be away from her sister while she is at Hogwarts, and she misses her dearly.

. . Lettie was 3 years old when her dad got fed up and left their family, never looking back. He was a muggle, and was fed up with her mum always having to work late, and always being so secretive. He felt as though she was emotionally unavailable, and he was right. She wasn't able to tell him about the wizarding world, or give him any information about what she actually did for a living, and he was done with it.

One day not too long after, she was sitting outside their house, crying because she had nobody her age to play with. She missed her dad horribly. Her dad used to play with her and was home all day to pay attention to her, and that attention was something she needed right now more than anything.

Just then, a kind boy that lived close by happened to be walking down the street and saw her upset. He was concerned, so he walked up to her and said "What happened? Why are you sad?" Lettie said "Because I have nobody to play with." The little boy's face dropped as he felt her loneliness, but quickly grew into a smile when he realized he had a solution. He lent his hand to her and said, "Well, I can play with you! I live just down the street, so my dad won't be too worried. C'mon, let's go!"

The little boy's name was Benji, and he very quickly became Lettie's best friend. They did almost everything together, so that Lettie didn't have to be alone anymore. Lettie and Benji are still best friends today.
